Easton has easily penned the most effervescent series I have ever had the pleasure of reading!
The Rain Trilogy was simply intoxicating, with an exhilarating, fast-paced, nail biting story, that will leave its readers guessing until the very end.
Two wounded souls willing to die for one another and risk everything, making for a conclusion that was beyond my wildest dreams.
As Always, Happy Reading!
“5/5 Beaming Brains!” – Lit-Up My Mind
The epic conclusion to this trilogy was nothing but spectacular!!
I’ve told everyone and I mean everyone; readers, non-readers, romance readers, biography readers, etc…about this amazing series. It is a dystopian world, unlike any other ,and needs to be read!
If you had the chance to save the world or just the love of your life, which would you choose?
You’ve already survived D-Day and guess what? The world didn’t end. You finally think you might have made it out of the other side of the nightmare you’ve been living in, but instead the man you’ve fallen in love with is taken from you and your nightmare begins again.
In jail for breaking the natural selection law, Wes only has days left to live. Rain refuses to give up on the man who saved her from the brink of death. She refuses to give up on him like everyone has in his entire life. She plans to fight for him until the very last moment. Little does she know that her crusade to save Wes will pick up some other crusaders along the way.
Wes and Rain may be literally separated, but nothing can separate the love they feel nor the fight they began from the very beginning.
This book is so good, I read it cover to cover in just hours. I couldn’t put it down and I doubt you will either. I hope BB writes more amazing fiction in her future!!
I’ve been sitting here staring at the blinking cursor on the screen for the past five minutes trying to figure out how to review this book. I, honestly, have no clue what to say except, wow, BB! What an epic story you conjured up in that head of yours! It’s incredible and frightening and just so addicting. The detail in BB’s writing is impeccable. She paints a crystal clear picture with her words. I could’ve sworn I was in that old abandoned mall with Wes and Rain. I saw & felt everything. I can’t wait to read the final book to see how this all ends. I know one thing for sure, it’s going to be a wild ride!
What an exhilarating, crazy end to this apocalyptic, end-of-the world, epic romance of the Rain Trilogy by BB Easton! This book covers it all! Revenge, drama, pain, loss, sacrifice, and hope.
This is a very gritty, final book in the trilogy – so you must read book 1 (Praying for Rain), and book 2 (Fighting for Rain) before even thinking about touching this book!
These books will grab you and suck you in, you will not want to put them down!
BB Easton has outdone herself with the final installment in her highly anticipated Rain Trilogy, but it’s a little bittersweet because I am kind of sad to let these characters go. She has stolen every inch of my heart with this addictively captivating dystopian love story that has kept me guessing as I inhaled all the words.
Wes and Rain’s emotional story will pull on all of your heartstrings as you experience their complicated journey. Be prepared to revive your heart because there will be several times when all you will be able to think about is how you could possibly survive. I am still at a loss for words and it’s been days since I have reached the conclusion of this trilogy. My heart had this deep ache and my stomach was in knots the entire time. I was right on EDGE, ready and willing to fall into the unknown for the chance to see these two get their happily ever after.
Dying For Rain was EVERYTHING I could have ever wanted in the conclusion to one of my all time favorite dystopian reads. BB Easton has officially made it to my ALWAYS one-click author lists and I cannot freaking wait to see what she brings us next.
BB Easton brings out all the stops in the conclusion of The Rain Trilogy, Dying for Rain!
In a world gone crazy Ms. Easton managed to navigate the conclusion of the Rain Trilogy with page turning ease. Full of suspense, plot twist and a love that withstood a constant barrage of obstacles this book was pretty much impossible to put down. This author’s colorful cast of characters and intense interactions brought the pages to life with a constant buzz. Survival brought out people’s true characters and Ms. Easton was adept at honing in on expressing traits in a subtle way that at some point ended in a reader aha moment. The relationship between Wes and Rain was devoted but more so hopeful as their love made the world worth fighting for and that is exactly what they did in an impressive style. Action was a constant in this work and left little room for this writer’s audience to catch their breath.
BB Easton’s The Rain Trilogy proved her strength in writing varied and complex stories. Her ability to make flawed portrayals lovable is commendable and not an easy skill to master. Interesting and thoughtful subject matter and characters able to carry the weight of a difficult plot made The Rain Trilogy memorable and a great addition to any TBR pile!
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own. *
*This book should be read with the other books in this series.*
If you’re dying to read this book you’re not alone. I read this so fast I couldn’t stop my emotions from being swept away. I literally wanted to scream, cry and cheer. BB made sure Rain was as badass and she is, and Wes so incredible, I wish he was real. Instead of giving in and breaking down Rain did what she never saw herself doing. Maybe she’s gone crazy but Wes was Dying for Rain and that’s not how she was going to let their story end. It’s time the world was righted, it just needed a little Rain. I 100% loved this book, it’s an Epic end to an Epic love.
Can we talk about how much I loved this book? It was action packed and very well thought out. Every detail was flushed out and there weren’t any loose strings by the time it was over.
I loved the kind of warrior that Rain turned into in this book. Where Wes was kind of the take no prisoners character in the previous book, Rain became that in this book. It’s like she realized her strength when it came to protecting someone she loved and nothing was going to stop her from accomplishing her goals.
I also really enjoyed how the story kept you guessing. You really didn’t know how or if Wes was going to get out of this because of the random hiccups throughout. It amazed me that a certain hiccup didn’t make Rain falter on her plans and that she included it in them. I just really liked how it all came together.
Overall, I definitely recommend this book. It was one of the better written dystopian novels I’ve read in a while.
Omg! The final part of this trilogy is fantastic! I had no idea how Wes and Rain were going to survive the horrors of life as it’s become. I was on the edge of my seat and teary eyed through most of it. I was so, so proud of Rain, and the strength she found to carry on. BB’s writing is so vivid I was there living amongst these amazing characters! It’s a brilliant series!!! You really won’t want to miss it!
This is the third and final book in B.B Easton’s Rain Trilogy. The plot is both soul crushing and awe inspiring. Easton captures a particular level of gritty, raw emotion and portrays it through an amazing cast of characters. The reader can only sit back and take in the wreckage. Absolutely love what was done with the storyline and character arcs. Beautiful!
“Do I sacrifice one life to save the others? Or sacrifice the others to save the one? My one. My Wes.”
Daaaaamn BB you put me through the wringer with this finale. I mean you had my crying barely 4% into the book. It was EPIC. I love that it was intense and emotional. I love it when I get inside the book and just want to punch someone or kill someone with my bare hands because they are the deliverers of my MC pain. Believe me I was ready to go to battle for Rain and Wes.
Dying for Rain brought more action to the trilogy. The whole Rain Trilogy made me dive into the story and felt everything. It’s a dystopian, apocalyptic read so for me it has to be well written to the point of making me see the scenes in my head as vividly as been in that moment. Be able to see the blood and even feel like I’m tasting and smelling all the gruesome happening around and with Rain Trilogy I got all of that and more. LOVE IT!!!
I love everything about this story. The love between Rain Williams and Wes Parker it’s the ones in a lifetime love. Their passion and love was so powerful that made them stronger, made them fight and save one another.
“All I wanted to do was stay numb and die. All Wes wanted was someone to help him survive. But somehow, together, we figured out how to live.”
I was rooting for them the whole time and some other times I was afraid of what was to become of them. So guys in January 30 you get to binge read this incredible series if you haven’t started yet. GET IT!!!
4.5 stars!
I’ve got to say, this is my favorite story in the trilogy. I LOVE how everything came full circle. And I LOVE this new world BB Easton created!
I had so much anxiety build up with every flip of a page, I could not put this book down. I’m the end it was totally worth it! If I loved this book so much, your probably wondering why I didn’t give that last star a full rating… I felt like the speech of some of the characters, got worse with each book, and I was not a fan of reading with an accent.
Needless to say, I really enjoyed Dying for Rain!
I INHALED this book! It consumed me and I didn’t want to put it down! I couldn’t read it fast enough. It picked up where the last book left off and the action didn’t stop! Shew! It’s fast paced, heart-pounding, OMG did that just happen activity and I loved every minute. We knew Rain had grit and heart, but it came out in spades in this book. She is a fighter and so is Wes. They are quite the duo and this book will leave you breathless. I’m suffering from a book hangover and can’t believe it’s done. I’m sad to leave their world but thankful BB shared this book with all of us!
Wow! What a ride! My mind has been blown away by this epic trilogy of love and survival as the world falls apart and chaos reigns. Helping someone can get you executed. Friends turn on friends. Enemies may just be your new allies and if you want a happily ever after in a burning world you may just have to fight tooth and nail for it, until the bitter end. So good! I loved every dark moment and relished and rejoiced in the conclusion! Five stars for the end of the world as we know it!
I was soooo happy to see the end of this series. Not in a bad way, but in the way I needed to see people get justice for everything that has happened. It had ups and downs, a beautiful love story between two characters that deserved happiness and each other. Rain really became a bad A** in this book. She showed that she was more then weak Rain from book one and proved that she did deserve Wes. Wes was so sweet. The way he did what he had for her, the way he took risks and was a good guy not doing bad but trying to overcome the bad…. he was just perfect. I’m really sad to see this trilogy come to an end but it was a wild ride that I enjoyed. 4 stars #2OCCJD
BB EASTON KILLS IT AGAIN!!!
I don’t even know where to begin……Truthfully, when I’m this excited for a book, to release, I always wonder “Have I blown this trilogy into something it isn’t?? Something more??” But the answer, here, is a definite “No, I have not”….It’s everything I love in a book…in a series..
The Rain Trilogy is BB Easton at her best (does she ever give us herself any other way??)….She is a master storyteller…an artist, who paints us the most tragic and horrifying and beautiful love story of Wes and Rain….in a world we can’t even imagine…But, using all of her paints and brushes and the talent God gave her, BB Easton had me right there with Wes and Rain, every moment, in post apocalyptic Georgia….She guaranteed I was living with them through every tragedy…through every triumph…felt every heartbreak….every happiness…every frustration…every loss…I especially felt the undying love that continued to grow between Wes and Rain in the loveless world in which they were thrown, post April 23……I. Felt. Everything….
DFR begins where FFR ends… Rain is, indeed, pregnant, and Wes has been arrested and is awaiting execution….But, after reading PFR and FFR (and, let me say, if you haven’t read them yet, STOP NOW and read them before you read this book), I knew Wes’s “never quit” character was not just not a person who gives up…ever……He didn’t give up when the world was ending…and he’s not giving up because he’s set for execution….And Rain is no longer a “sit on the sidelines and do nothing” chick…..After all this couple has been through, their love is stronger than ever, and, now, they have even more reasons to survive….But after Rain sneaks into the jail to “interview” Wes, their refusal to accept this new “fate” is given new life and their combined determination sets in……Heaven help everyone…
I fell in love with Wes Parker and Rain Williams in PRAYING FOR RAIN, and it only grew in FIGHTING FOR RAIN,…Wes and Rain will, forever, be one of my favorite couples ….From their first meeting where Wes “kidnaps” Rain at gunpoint, this couple has had so much fire…Even through the whole April 23 drama, through the dangerous abandoned mall gang life, through all of the death, the destruction…the despair….I. felt. Everything…..Through Rain’s ex boyfriend’s betrayal and his family hijacking her childhood home (the mother actually turning Wes over to the authorities)….I Felt. Everything….Through the shock of Rain’s pregnancy….through their gut-wrenching trauma of waiting for Wes to be executed…through the uncertainty of their lives….After everything they went through, their love just grew stronger….Wes and Rain grew stronger, individually and together….And nothing was going to stop their “happily ever after”….and I. Felt. Everything…..
Intense is an overused word, but this trilogy is, definitely, intense, to say the least….. My stomach was in knots from the 1st page, and I had to stop a couple of times just to catch my breath and unclench my stomach……And, although I may have been alone in this, Wes saying “you know what else is $#itty? Being shot in the face on live TV” just made me laugh….you gotta read this trilogy….This won’t be my last time to read it…But, maybe I can read it, now, without my stomach tied in knots…..and maybe not…
Mind. Blown. Honestly, I am not a huge dystopian reader, but there was something about this series that sang to me and I am so glad I read it. The final installment will leave you breathless, begging for it to not end. The angst. The raw emotions. The suspense. It was beyond stunning as this story unfolds. The build of Wes and Rain was amazing. I felt what they felt. Their love, pain and fears. As things unfold, you get caught up with the what will happen as you devour the words of this book. There are perfect twists and turns that will keep you on your toes. I adored the words that bled off the pages. Honestly, I can just sing from the rooftops how epic this conclusion is but I want to scream about what happens. How it happened. How it affected Rain and Wes. SOOOO MUCH! Easton has gold with this trilogy. It needs to be a tv series or movie. STAT! Pick this trilogy up now and binge!
Yesss!! That is how you close out a trilogy!!! A standing ovation for BB Easton!! Dying for Rain was epic in every sense of the word. Rain and Wes forever!!
I LOVE this book so freaking much. The fighting of injustices. The protection of love. The battle for survival. My heart was pounding the entire time. The bond between Wes and Rain is stronger than ever. How easily they’re willing to sacrifice for one another shows just how intense their love is. These two had gone through so much growth in these books; both independently and together. Rain’s transformation especially was so badass and easy to root for. I just love her.
I feel like I’ll be reading these books again in the near future. I just can’t get enough of Wes and Rain. The Rain trilogy is easily one of my all time favorites. There wasn’t a single book in this series that was a let down. BB’s ability to take me into this dystopian world I, typically, wouldn’t dare enter before is a testament to her brilliance. I’m a full blown addict now.
Okay, BB I hope you’re happy. You gave me a heart attack throughout this WHOLE BOOK! (I know that isn’t possible but just go with it, okay???) The apocalypse was STRESSFUL! This freaking book was unpredictable. I honestly had no clue how it was going to end. Of course I had hopes and dreams. I guess you’ll have to stay tuned to find out if those hopes and dreams came true or if they were run over by a giant ass bulldozer. And by stay tuned, I mean READ THIS BOOK!!!! RIGHT NOW!!! I AM 1000% SERIOUS BRO!
The thing about this trilogy is that it’s scary. Dangerous. Surrounded by pure chaos. Unbelievable. But it was filled with so much emotion and relatability. Everyone relates to loss. To fear. To loneliness. To love. These books have the power to show us that, even in utter despair, we fight. We hope. We dream. We try to cling to safety and happiness in the dark. Because in the end, we push ourselves to unimaginable lengths in order to obtain the things we love. To hold them tight.
I love these books. This story. These characters. Every. Single thing. Thank you thank you THANK YOU, BB Easton. For hitting publish on these incredible books that will stay with me forever & ever. I’m so incredibly grateful. YOU ARE BADASS, LADY!!!!
OH. MY. Goodness! This is the book that will keep you on the precipice literally through the whole damn thing! Your heart will be pounding so hard through each and every chapter because adrenaline is coursing through the words and the story, not letting up until the very end. It’s one big climax that will leave you feeling anxious and nervous and maybe just maybe there might be some sort of good around the corner.
Dying For Rain is the third and final book in The Rain Trilogy and starts off right where book two left off. Some major craziness has ensued with Wes and Rain. They connected just as the world was about to end and they’ve been in each other’s corner trying to fight the world on their own. And when Wes has all but left Rain to survive on her own, Rain learns what is most important to her and how she must fight the world around her in order to survive.
“He doesn’t kiss me like our time is running out. he kisses me like it’s already up.”
This final book was everything! It grabbed you by the balls and never let you go. I was on a constant high. We got to see some characters from the past books and everyone had a chance to change and live in the new world that the government had created. It is a ‘survival of the fittest’ and it’s not pretty. But when new characters are introduced, they really seemed to push the story forward. This dramatic ending is sure to please everyone who’s gone on this journey. We get to see Rain grow and change and fight her way to her ending. She a MFing revolutionary and she can teach us all something about survival.
“…You’re like…Post-Apocalypse Barbie now.”
A perfect heart pounding ending to this post apocalyptic story!
