BeeeeBEEEEEE….
GIRL….I think I held my breath through the whole third book while reading.
I was freaking out on what was goin to happen to Wes….Rain needed her HEA and I was DYING to know if she was going to get it. I had to keep telling myself to breath, Tricia…BREATH..lol
I just couldn’t get enough of this series. It was fan-damn-tastic even though you effed with my emotions throughout the book…Which that is the best cuz it definitely makes this read very memorable!!! Thanks for writing BB….you are AMAZING!!!
What an epic conclusion to an awesome series!!! Rain finally came into her own in this book, she’s grown up, grown stronger and would give her life for the man she loves. Wes, loved him from book one, has grown also and would, and has, given his life for the girl he loves and can’t live without.
Nothing that happened was what I expected. It was a roller coaster of a ride that had me on the edge of my seat. This is definitely a favorite read for 2020!!!
I loved this entire trilogy so much! The best dystopian romance I’ve ever read and I’m not just saying that because I know the author! lol
It’s the end of the world as we know it After the humongous cliffhanger from the last book, I had no idea how this couple would ever see a happy ending. People are being executed for doing good works. If you try to save a life – executed. If you try to prolong a life – executed. If you provide medicine – you guessed it… executed. Wes has been arrested for providing antibiotics to Quint, finally separating him from Rain when no one and nothing else could. The entire story is about the drama Rain has to deal with when she no longer has Wes to fix all of her problems and about Wes’s inability to call it quits. I was on the edge of my seat wondering how these two would turn out. Would Rain finally figure out what she stood for? Would Wes come out on top like he always does? And just what does the future look like after all this mayhem? Read this series people!! I absolutely loved this ending and I only wish I could spend more time with that sexy man named Wes. With Dying for Rain, Easton concluded this trilogy with guts, glory, grit and tons of heart!
Phenomenal ending to a thrilling, heart pounding trilogy!! So unique, unlike anything I’ve ever read, the Author went outside the box and killed it!! My heart went through so much with Rain and Wes, I couldn’t breathe at some points throughout the story. The intensity had me unable to put it down, and I never wanted it to end. I loved how Rain came into her own in this book, her ferocity and tenacity shone right through!! The heart pounding, dystopian world the Author created was so vividly real, you just got sucked right in and felt like you were right there. I felt every single emotion ever invented and truly fell in love with all three books. An absolute must read!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!

Oh my me!! This final book in the Rain Trilogy is just perfection wrapped in a red dress and lipstick!
The adrenaline is spiking and your heart rate is going to beat out of control as you go through the pages!
The true meaning of love, loss, and above all else hope are the center point of this final installment.
The world that Ms. Easton has created in this trilogy is nothing short of epic. There is a magic to her words and the way she is able to pull the reader into the gritty world of Franklin Springs and an apocalyptic Atlanta is nothing short of miraculous! I could “see” the city burning, I could feel the angst and fear that Rain felt when she was separated from Wes. I found myself cheering and jeering and hoping for the happily ever after that Wes and Rain have richly deserved.
If you are looking for a gritty, swoony and heartwrenching read, look no further than this phenomenal trilogy! What a finale! What an ending! Bravo Ms. Easton, bravo!
A Must Read! Get Your Binge On!!!
An EPIC conclusion to this post-apocalyptic love story with a nail-biter of an ending!!! I absolutley LOVED this trilogy!
Wes and Rain were destined to find each other. Both would sacrifice anything for the other. A love like theirs can survive anything…even the end of the world.
Wes has been arrested and charged. His future is bleak unless his friends can come up with a plan.
The governor is set on thinning the herd. His plan is twisted and fueled by nothing more than greed. His mission is pure evil. There is strength in numbers. The people need to take back their power. The only way to stop the madness is to fight back.
The meek girl who existed before April 23rd became a woman who was able to rise up and fight. The boy who didn’t love anyone or anything became a man willing to do anything for the woman he loved.
An action-packed story with emotion, passion, heartache and new beginnings. I was totally invested in the story and these characters. I wanted to fight beside them! You will get anxious and feel their fear. Then they will give you hope and stoke the flames for a revolution!
If you haven’t started this trilogy yet…I recommend getting your binge on NOW! It’s a total page turner you do not want to miss! And Wes, he’s the perfect reason to survive the end of the world.
So here I am, frothing at the mouth for this baby, dying to see what becomes of this couple after I dove off the cliff that was Fighting for Rain. And I kid you not, I could not put this book down. If I didn’t have to adult, I’m sure I would have had it done in about 3 hours. But also, if I’d done that, I might have been taken away in an ambulance due to how erratic my heart was racing as I devoured this book.
Rain’s had it rough. After everything that happened BEFORE the end of the world, who wouldn’t feel for the poor thing. But Wes taught her to be a survivor, and thank God he did. She needed every last bit of him building her up to make it through the last book, and it’s not over yet.
If you’ve read this far, you know there were a host of new characters in the last book that are amazing and evoked ALL THE FEELS. You’ll know there are some you wanted to wrap up in your arms and keep safe. And there are ones you probably wanted to throat-punch. Some you can forgive, some you want to burn in the bowels of Hell, and you think there’s no way they could ever redeem themselves. Well, get ready to have those ideas tested, because at the end of the world, things aren’t always what they seem.
I’ve never read anything like this series. I’ve never feared that my heart would pound its way right out of my chest like I did in the middle of this book. I’ve never pulled harder for a group of characters, hoping every last one of them, even the ones who were evil from head to toe, could make it through all the shtuff that was throw at them.
This book, this series, will forever be one of the best I’ve ever read.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the third and final book in The Rain Trilogy from B.B. Easton. You have to have read Praying for Rain and Fighting for Rain or you are going to be so lost. When I closed Fighting for Rain I just about think my heart stopped. Stopped and I didn’t get it back until Dying for Rain was in my hand. And then I was livid. The biggest villain in all the world is in the first chapter of this book and to say I hated them is a understatement. I don’t even know how to explain all the emotions that came out in this book. I also can’t tell you a thing about this story without giving something away and I don’t want to do that. I want you to experience everything as much as I did and be on the edge of your seat trying to catch your breath. I will say that this series couldn’t have been more perfect and that watching Rain find her wing and her strength and fight. Not that she hasn’t been a fighter in the past books but this time she had to find her inner strength and fight hard. I’m so proud of her. I love a good dystopian book and these three are my top favorites. I think the world needs more of them. Thank You B.B Easton for writing such an amazing series.
This review is on the entire trilogy.
I am so glad I was able to buy this trilogy so I could avoid the cliffhangers. Rain and Wes’s stories were tragic. The world that BB Easton builds here does give you vibes of Hunger Games and even the Walking Dead minus the zombies. I thought it was great and well written. It will keep your attention throughout and have you cheering the characters to include side ones to a HEA. There is sadness, spicy and humor throughout the entire trilogy. I am so glad it came across my TikTok to remind me I haven’t listened to it yet. Madeleine and Alex do an amazing job. Highly recommend especially for YA.
Both narrators did a good job! The male narrator has grown on me throughout listening to each of the books in this series. I’ve always enjoyed the female narrator; she has a nice tone to her voice and fits Rain’s character well.
I’m going to go with a 3 for this finale book. Rain wallows less in this book and the story does have some entertainment value, but I never connected with any of the characters in this whole series. I liked Wes okay; he’s so sweet with Rain. They really do have a lovely connection. Rain isn’t as annoying as she was in the previous books, but she still makes stupid decisions. You have a gun girl! Why aren’t you using it!? Wes has been arrested and most likely will be executed for being a decent person, so Rain sets out to save him. I liked to read about Rain actually taking action instead of becoming a mess when there’s issues. This next stuff is sort of spoiler territory, so warning for spoilers! I could’ve done without the pregnancy scenario; don’t need to read about sex and breast milk. Also, why did there need to be anything about Wes’ mom? Rain thinks something to the effect of, we don’t let her babysit though; what a stupid, sick joke. Wes’ baby sister died because of his mother’s neglect; that’s not something to be turned into a little joke. Also, I would’ve been more than happy to never read about Q again. Overall, this has been an interesting series, but my annoyance with pretty much every character really didn’t endear me this series.
WOW! What a wild ride.
The second and third book in the Rain Trilogie was like the first book unbelievable gripping, exciting and brutal, maybe even more than the first one.
It’s a dramatic roller-coaster of action, excitement and brutal reality after the predicted apocalypse that never happened. The world is a chaos and the laws doesn’t exist.
Or exist, but in a way that looks like a parallel evil universe.
The law of natural selection.
The strongest, meanest and most brutal individuals stays alive.
Rain and Wes are trying to survive this mayhem, but in a world without a safe place, it’s like a Russian roulette.
WOW! Unbelievable emotional and nerve-wracking story.
The disturbing and dreadful world of Rain Trilogie is a fascinating story that let’s hope never becomes a reality.
This series was a great surprise for me.
I loved it and will definitely read more books by this author.
“When you fall in love at the end of the world, you live every day like it’s your last”
Oh, my heart.
This gut wrenching, epic conclusion to the Rain trilogy is all I hoped for and more.
BB managed to capture my heart and entrance me with Rain and Wes’s story, channeling Suzanne Collins with Hunger Games vibes and leaving me breathless.
Where the previous books focused on Wes as a badass, Rain shined through in this book as the ultimate apocalypse barbie and I was so here for it!
An amazing end to a great series, and I can’t wait to see what BB has in store for us next.
5 stars and a tube of red lipstick.
The angst of this book swallowed me whole. I was glued to the pages right through the night! BEST read this year! Loved every second of it!
*** Dying for Rain is the final book in The Rain Trilogy and must be read after both Praying For Rain and Fighting for Rain. This review may contain spoilers if you are not yet caught up in the series. ***
Rainbow Williams survived April 23rd, and the days since have been… difficult. But just when she and Wesson Parker are finally back in each others arms, her world is once again ripped out from under her. But the sweet and accommodating Rainbow who existed before April 23rd has changed, and in her place is a woman who has everything to fight for… starting with the man she loves…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dying for Rain was the savagely epic finale to the mesmerizing and unforgettable Rain Trilogy. Rain and Wes are survivors, and no matter what the world looks like now in the post April 23rd world, they will find a way to navigate it together… or die trying…
The conclusion of Rain and Wes’s twisted and difficult love story was EVERYTHING I could have ever dreamed for in a finale. The couple has faced one catastrophe after another, but now, their troubles might finally be too big for them to overcome… that is until Rain decides it’s time to embrace the chaos rather than hide from it all…
This book made me me want to cheer out loud!! First of all, when Rain finally shows just how tough she really is, and she decides to fight for herself, it is a thing of utter beauty!! The love and attraction between Rain and Wes has turned into something else altogether, and the world is about to see just what true love can really do. And my most favorite of it all is that every player in this series comes back full circle, and the people we thought we knew are about to change everything!!
The Rain Trilogy is a must read series. I seriously want to shout it from the rooftops that EVERYONE should experience this story for themselves. It was sexy, heart-breaking, eye-opening, and intricately emotional… and in the end… impeccably triumphant.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
Ok, here we are. And wow. I feel like I’ve been through an apocalypse-riot MYSELF!
Truthfully, I rarely read books this short. But I sort of loved that I was able to binge 2 & 3 together, because I read Praying For Rain last year when it came out and I was HOOKED. I absolutely NEEDED to know what happened after April 23rd with Rain and Wes.
And of course, because she’s BB Easton, she DID. NOT. DISAPPOINT.
This book, out of the 3, had me feeling most like a damn psycho. I was literally laughing out loud one minute, balling my eyes out the next, then swooning because hello, Wes. And then cringing because of how damn intense some scenes were! I felt like I was in the midst of the chaos, and it was overwhelming! My eyes could barely read fast enough!
I just love this series. It’s instantly a top favorite of all time for me. I mean, Wesson Parker is a new eternal favorite book boyfriend. He’s exactly everything I look for in a book boyfriend, if we’re being honest. His inner monologue was perfection. His sarcasm and his negativity, when on the inside he’s just a damaged hottie desperate for love. And I ADORED how he stepped up, and never gave up because his girl was out there, needing him. It’s a commanding quality that I think every woman wants in her man.
Anyway, I will recommend this series to anyone who says hello, because it’s just so different. And if you know me, you know I love different books. In a world where we’re inundated with the same stuff over and over, I love turning around to see someone as sweet and special and talented as BB Easton publishing a trilogy about the damn apocalypse. And this series was grim and dark at times. Which I also loved, of course. Because life isn’t all rainbows, and you know damn well it’d get a thousand times worse at the end of the world.
But BB found a way to make that darkness shine, and leave the reader feeling victorious, along with the characters.
I’m not crying… I’ve got tear-gas in my eyes 😉 . Post-Apocalyptic Applause for BB Easton and the Rain Trilogy!
Because everything matters, and we’re not gonna die.
Edge of your seat awesome
5 star madness
I loved it!!!
I devoured this whole series and this book just topped it off perfectly !
I could not put the book down and felt frustrated every time I had to !! (Kids ! Haha)
I was on the edge of my seat and loved the way the story built to an epic ending.
It left me wanting more !
B.b wrote this series and created a Wonderfully destructive world ! Read the books in order or none of it will make sense ! It is well worth your time though !!!!
“All Rain wanted was to stay numb and die.
All Wes wanted was someone to help him survive.
But somehow, together they figured out how to live”.
“That’s the thing about life after April 23. When you fall in love at the end of the world, you live every day like it’s your last.”
This trilogy was amazing!! I can’t believe it’s over ! This was definitely a fast paced thrilling page turner ! I’m not even going to go into the story because I can’t and don’t want to give anything away , but this book was the best out of all three for me ! I’m sad it’s over but this journey was amazing and one thrilling ride ! Wes and Rain will forever hold a special place in my heart and BB Easton is a genius for writing this dystopian apocalyptic romance and she is definitely one of my favorite one click authors ever!!! This book was a constant race to the finish line and had my heart pounding while I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through! If you haven’t started this awesome trilogy than what are you waiting for!!! I’m so glad I discovered this wonderful world of chaos and wonderful characters and a interesting and intense story to go with it! Definite 5+ stars for me !!!!
*** I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book ***
5 Cranky Stars
Would you kill one to save the many or would you kill many to save the one seems to be the common theme running through this story. We’ve all heard the phrase cause well it’s on many items in America and that’s E Pluribus Unum which translates out of the many, one. Rainbow Williams is our one. She’s the one who went from strait laced proper church going student to black hair boot wearing face of a revolution all for the man she loves. She will have hard decisions to make in the coming days and she will find power inside herself she never knew she had. Along with friends old and new she challenges the government and those who blindly follow their shady governor.
We all know where book two left us and boy did our jaws drop then I’m sure we raged and called BB Easton a devil woman or maybe that was just me. I refused to accept the fate of Wes and Rain and jumped into this book hoping BB redeemed herself. I had a lot of emotion while I was reading this book. I admired Wes and his need to save Rain and by association Quinten and Lamar. I absolutely hated the Stepford wife that was Agnes. She was horrid and seriously I wish Rain would have done more damage than she did. Nineties era Leonardo DiCaprio’s Romeo would be proud of how much Wes loves his Hawaiian shirt and not to mention his dedication. I think this book was the perfect ending to this series. We’ve watched Rainbow grow into a kick butt woman and Wes a man with so much to live for finally after a childhood that was tragic. I would highly suggest this book to lovers of the apocalypse and falling in love and kick butt heroines. The Rain Trilogy is the apocalypse with a BB Easton twist.
Wow!!
Dying for Rain is absolutely flipping fantabulous!
When I started The Rain trilogy, I was absolutely amazed by the unique, vivid, and creative storyline. Not only that, but the characters were so well developed that honestly, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
When I finished the second book, Fighting for Rain, we were left with a pretty big cliffhanger. So as soon as I saw Dying for Rain, the third and final book in the series, I literally dropped everything and read it in one day! I mean, nothing was stopping me from finding out how Wes and Rain’s story ended!
Dying for Rain was emotional, action-packed, and full of twists. And let me tell you, this book was even better than I could have ever imagined! I think it was the fact that I felt a part of the story. I was right there with Rain and Wes as they made their plans and fought. Honestly, I’m not sure how, but I fell even more in love with these characters!
I can easily say that this is one of my all-time favorite series!
