Catherine “Cat” Thompson has been held at gunpoint, stuck in a burning dumpster, chased out of a grocery store, caught impersonating a police officer and almost run over by a wayward vehicle. How’s that for her first day as an amateur sleuth? With her friend Annie Mae, Cat investigates the brick-paved, oak-lined streets of Savannah to catch their friend’s killer. But it’s anything but smooth … smooth sailing for these self appointed detectives. Can they catch the killer before the killer gets them? Or will their first case also be their last?
The Georgia Coast Cozy Mystery Series combines mystery, suspense, humor, and southern charm. Each book is a standalone novel.

Likable, spirited characters. Savannah setting is always great.
Bland, hope the author improves
This novel was very predictable in parts and totally implausible in others. It was an okay read but did not stir any interest in me to continue the series.
I enjoyed this book.
Switching between Anne Mae and Annie Mae as a character’s name got very distracting. Proofreading is not over rated; it’s necessary.
My kids have always called me the Grammar General, so imagine my irritation when a person with a Master’s Degree makes a blatant grammatical error not just once, but several times in the book. The crossword clue should have read “YOU’RE next” not “YOUR next”. Seriously, how can we expect the younger generation to speak and write properly if we …
Thought the book was built along the traditional story lines of a cozy mystery.
To much unnecessary detail. I don’t need a discription of anyone’s clothes when they come in the door when it has nothing to do with the plot and is not unusual attire.
I finished it because I started it but I wouldn’t recommend it. The sidekick character reminded me of another authors character, though not as funny.
It started with a lot of stereotyping. The racelabling could have been written in a better way. I almost put it aside but it did improve. I really liked Annie Mae. I didn’t like the ending.
It was a good read. Kind if hard to believe someone can get so much accomplished in one day. Wish I could. I enjoyed it.
A fun read. Around each corner is a surprise. These girls don’t give up!
Did not get pass the first and second chapters. Just did not move very fast…
Very juvenile. And the Characters are too much a copy of those in the Stephanie Plum stories.
These ladies need to be put on a police force somewhere. To solve the murder crime in one day is miraculous!
Stopped reading—couldn’t get in to it.
Average. Attempts at humor were appreciated but much of it was predictable and lacked depth.
Not worth your time.
Kind of slow. Took longer then it should have to read. Characters were more true to life then normal. A couple of grammatical errors written. All in all, not terrible.
I feel like the author is trying to copy Janet Evanvich.
