“A classic whodunit . . . the perfect book for food lovers.”—New York Daily NewsGoldy Bear is the bright, opinionated, wildly inventive caterer whose personal life is a recipe for disaster, with bills taking a bite out of her budget and her abusive ex-husband making tasteless threats. Determined to take control, Goldy moves her business to the ritzy Aspen Meadow Country Club. Soon she’s preparing … Club. Soon she’s preparing decadent dinners and posh society picnics—and enjoying the favors of Philip Miller, a handsome local shrink, and Tom Schulz, her more-than-friendly neighborhood cop. Until, that is, the dishy doctor drives his BMW into an oncoming bus. Convinced that Philip’s bizarre death was no accident, Goldy begins to sift through the dead doc’s unpalatable secrets. But this case is seasoned with unexpected danger and even more unexpected revelations—the kind that could get a caterer killed.

Love this series!
I’ve read Davidson’s books from day one – know what to expect – and enjoy them.
I love culinary mysteries. Goldie is a plucky, hard-working caterer who loves her kid. She has to deal with her jerk of an ex-husband and seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time so she stumbles upon bodies. However, she is smart and resourceful and finds a way to keep her business going and to solve the murders. Keep up the good work, …
I like this author very much. She writes about mystery in a small Colorado town. Her characterizations are vivid. And often funny. Recommend it. Oh, her recipes are mouth-watering.
I have read many in this series before. Definite go-to series.
Another series I love to read and re-read (or listen to). Goldy, Tom, Marla are fun characters and it’s a pleasure to follow their lives. Arch I could do without. Obnoxious and bratty, but if you can get around that you’ll enjoy these books.
Her books are always good to read. I love the recipes however since the subject is a caterer, they are a little bit over the top for me
One of my favorite cozy authors
Great cozy mystery! This book moves at a fast pace. Recipes are quite good as well.
Great recipes included. I already had this in paperback, but could not resist getting in eform too.
fun read, especially if you are a cook
It’s been awhile since I read this book, however this is a great series of books. I was sorry when it ended. Goldie is a caterer raising a young son. Lots of adventures
Caterer Goldie always serves up lots of great food and lots of surprises. There’s always excitiment and mystery at events when Goldie is involved and she solves mysteries best when she’s cooking.
Not her best, but still stands out as a light, well developed mystery.
