Addie Foster’s life was moving in the right direction. She owns a successful bookstore. She’s dating a cute doctor. All she wanted was a trim. Before she knows it, she’s knee-deep in a murder investigation. When she gets too close, trouble finds her. Will she and her BFF Grey figure out the mystery in time?
Book #2 in the Addie Foster Mystery Series is a fun-filled and fast-paced read with a touch of romance thrown in. The twists come fast and it ends too quickly for me so I was happy to have book #3 to jump into right away.
Dyeing For Change is an enjoyable cozy mystery that ended way too soon. Poor Addie can’t even get her curls cut without tripping over a body. Addie, Grey and Detective Hottie have a real mystery on their hands. This romp had me buying the next in the series.
I absolutely loved this book! Grey’s quirky homour and his ability to embarrass Addie had me laughing out loud throughout! The mysteries continues with some questions from book 1 still unanswered……can’t wait to read book 3 for more answers!
Dyeing for Change is the 2nd book in the series. I suggest you read them in order, so that you understand the characters and the back story. Addie just seems to not be able to stay away from murders these days. She goes in early to get her haircut, and her hairdresser is not acting like her usual self. She walks away to sign for a delivery, and next thing you know, Addie walks into the backroom and finds her in a puddle of blood. Never fear – Addie is kept safe by her BFF and the hottie detective, Jonah Wolfe. This book is an easy and quick read, and once you get started you do not want to put it down. I’m already looking forward to reading Book 3. I really like the characters, and I am enjoying reading about all of these adventures, and hopefully soon a romance as well.
This is book 2 in the Windsor Falls Mystery series. It has been 6 weeks since Addie last incident. Trouble keeps finding her. Now low and behold another mystery has happened. Addie hairdresser was killed and Addie loves a good mystery. Addie is still conflicted between Noah and Detective Wolfe. I loved how fast and quick pace this series is. I can’t wait to read book 3.
Omg this book!!! I need the next one like now! I loved it and the ending though! OMG!
WOW!! Never Can Catch a Break…Poor Addie Foster!! DYEING FOR CHANGE by Kimberley O’Malley’s Book #2 in the “Addie Foster Mystery” series and it best to Read in sequence order. DEATH COMES IN THREES is BOOK 1.
When Addie goes into her early hair appointment, she didn’t expect to walk in on her frazzled hair dresser. Then a few minutes later, find her in her pool of blood towards the back of the hairdressers shop. Again Addie finds herself in a middle of another mystery to solve…sort of speak! Once you start reading, you CANNOT PUT IT DOWN and wanna know what was going to happen next! It was such an Suspenseful thriller of a storyline that will Leave you wanting more. Thus cannot wait for Book #3!
The action starts fairly quickly. Addie goes in early to see her friend Diana who also comes in before opening to cut Addie’s hair. Diana is killed and now someone is after Addie. Throw in a best friend who follows her into trouble, a Mr. Right, a Mr. Wrong, and a mysterious protector and Addie has her hands full.
The plot was fun as were the characters. This is the 2nd book in the series and it made me want to go back and read the first immediately! The dialogue was realistic and witty. I have definitely found a new must-read author. At the time of this review, this book is free on Kindle Unlimited. Free or not, I definitely recommend this book.
Thank you to Kimberley O’Malley, NetGalley, and Carolina Blue for allowing me the chance to read this book and share my honest thoughts and opinions with others.
Being in the wrong place at the time.. When life seems so set let a murder get things all messed up. Finding that the detective on the case gives her butteries but her own boyfriend doesn’t. This is a problem. This story has msytery romance and it was a fast fun story to read…
Addie Foster, with dripping wet hair, wondered what was taking her hairdresser so long to let the delivery guy in but when she finally went to check what she found had nothing to do with a delivery. Now Addie finds herself running from murderers. Addie is also struggling with her love life. Boyfriend Noah is a kind, good looking doctor but there is no “zing.” Whereas the detective working the murder case causes “zing” every time she sees him.
This story is a great mix of mystery and romance and chances are you’ll find yourself cheering for the hot detective. I really enjoyed this story. It was fun, quick and easy to read. A nice afternoon of entertainment.

It’s fantastic finding an author new to me that I really want to read more of!
This might be book 2, but all the references to the earlier one makes certain that the reader not only doesn’t get lost but wants to find the other just for fun. And fun is at the top of the list with this, not that the story line isn’t good, but I’m here for the laughs just now. Don’t miss this one!
I requested and received a free ebook copy from the publisher via NetGalley. Thank you!
This is book 2 in the Addie Foster Mystery Series, but I don’t think you need to read book 1 before diving in. You might not catch on to a couple of things, but overall, you won’t be out of the loop too much.
Adelaide “Addie” Foster heads over to Dyeing for Change for her hair appointment. Gwen, the owner, has agreed to open early for Addie so that Addie will be able to open her bookstore on time. But Gwen’s not her usual self. First off, even though she agreed to open early, the door’s locked when Addie gets there. When Addies knocks, Gwen claims that she’s doing inventory, but she seems distracted. Secondly, she’s not up to her usually caring self when it comes to her shampooing. Addie usually loves to have her scalp massaged by Gwen when getting her hair done, but this time Gwen’s fingers were stabbing her scalp. And finally, when Gwen hears the doorbell in the back, she claims it’s a delivery and heads back there, leaving Addie dripping. But, unfortunately for Gwen, she doesn’t come back. When Addie goes to check, she finds Gwen, on the floor, stabbed, and not moving. So, begins book two.
Of course, this means Detective Wolfe is brought back into her life. Or as her BFF Grey calls him, “Detective Hottie”. When things start happening to Addie (an attempted mugging, and her pup Gracey attacked by a man while they were out walking), Detective Wolfe enlists Grey’s help to protect Addie until they could figure out who these men are, what they want, and how they’re connected to the death of Gwen.
Once again, Ms. O’Malley has a charming story on her hands. I truly love Grey, he’s by far my favorite character. I love that Aunt Caroline and Aunt Beatrice are in this story as well. I like the overall arc development, the developing romance between Addie and Detective Wolfe and the whole, will they or won’t they get together? I can’t wait to read the next story, Murder by Numbers.
Dying For Change is a suspenseful, page turner. I found it difficult to put the book down. I think this series is best read in order.
Addie has the worlds worst luck. Trouble always seems to find her. The Cozy Mystery series keeps you on your toes. You never know what crazy things are going to happen. I’m looking forward to reading Murder By Numbers. Maybe Addie will get some answers and a get her HEA with Detective Hottie.
When is a hair cut not a hair cut…. when Addie gets one and the hair dresser ends up dead! Addie yet again is in the middle of a murder investigation but at least she isn’t a suspect. e get to see the dynamics between Addie, Grey and Jonah which is great however the ending did leave me with high blood pressure!! My only wish is that the book were a little longer.
Just when Addie thinks her problems are over, her dreams come back! While getting her hair done, things go from ok to OMG! Another murder, another mystery, and more heat from detective Wolf! Can poor Addie catch a break??
Such a great book! I can’t wait to see what’s in store with book 3!
Another great book in the series…I just love Addie and Grey ! This book will make you laugh all the way thru…suspense, tragic, and love. These short crime stories are fabulous and a very quick and easy read!!!
In the second Addie Foster Mystery, Addie is knee deep in it again. This time someone has murdered her hairdresser Gwen. As the investigation goes on, Addie learns that Gwen had deep dark secrets nobody in town suspected. Things are also heating up with Addie and the hottie detective Wolfe, and she’s forced to decide between the nice, cute doctor who doesn’t like dogs, or the hot detective who makes all her nerves zing and he loves her dogs. But her nightmares that have plagued her since a concussion months before, are harbingers of doom. Will she ever learn to heed them? Or will her stubborn pride get her killed? The first book baited me. This second book has me hooked into keeping on reading these quirky cozy mysteries.
I’m so hooked on this author. This book is the 2nd in the set and it is just as good if not better than the 1st. The characters are hilarious. The mysterious situations are believable and the “zing”,is there for the main characters. This is definitely a must read book.
Addie has a knack for finding herself in trouble. After being present when her her dresser dies, she gets find herself as the focus of the bad guys. Her fun, gay best friend and a hot detective keep her safe. The dogs are a cute additive too. Short interesting read.
Book two in the Addie Foster Mystery series and it’s just fun to read as book 1. A good new cozy mystery series to add to any TBR list. Sometimes I just want a quick easy read read filled with rich characters that I know will continue on and this fills that need. In this book Addie find herself dreaming about a mysterious death but dreams don’t come true of do them. When Addie’s hairdresser goes missing she has no choice but to investigate. Lucky for Addie she is dating a detective and has her BFF Grey to help her.
