#1 in Western Science Fiction, #1 in Historical Fantasy Fiction, #1 in Post-Apocalyptic Science Fiction, and #1 in Alternative HistoryNo place on earth is untouched by the Shift. It’s been two centuries since the boom of the Industrial Revolution sent the Victorian world into a devastating climatic shift. Now, chivalry is dead and the frills and frivolities of the romantic era are no more than a … era are no more than a fading memory. And in Sagebrush Canyon, thirst rules, ignorance is power, and nothing is as it seems.
Jo has kept to the safety of her family’s farm, desperate to forget the horrific day that took her mother and left Jo battered and broken. But the marshal of Sagebrush is everywhere–he controls everything–and for years Jo has had to stomach the false pleasantries and knowing glint in the eyes of the man who killed her mother. When Jo discovers how deep the marshal’s seedy dealings run, she decides that fear will no longer keep her silent. But just when Jo plans to expose him for what he really is, the marshal plays a card of his own—his notoriously scandalous son, Clayton.
As Jo and Clayton are thrust together, lines become blurred, truths are revealed, and Jo must decide what she is willing to sacrifice in exchange for retribution.
Dust and Shadow is a post-apocalyptic love story and Victorian adventure set in the weather-ravaged, forgotten world of the American wild west. This richly imagined story, steeped with courageous, beautifully broken characters is the perfect read for Amy Harmon and Adrienne Young fans.

If you like western style stories you’ll like this one.
An easy read you that will entertain you.
Super interesting mashup of the post-apoc and western genres from my co-author. Definitely recommend!
This is an excellent start to this, looking to be very exciting end of the world series! I really really enjoyed it! But I do tend to love all of this writers work! Great ideas & characters, amazing story! Something to really get lost in! This will grab your attention from the start & keep you reverted!
I loved this book! I don’t know what took me so long to read it but I am glad I did!! I have now officially read all of Lindsey’s books and love them all. This book is a great alternative apocalyptic story with characters that easily caught my heart. I can’t wait to read more of their story!!
This story is quite different for any other dystopian ones I’ve read. Imagine a town of sand and dirt. Not enough food, shelter, but especially water. Large sand storms cover the town more. The characters are truly fit for the way life was. People were afraid of the marshal and his deputies, that ran the town and rationed the water. The town is really a desolate place with no hope. But I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I recommend this book.

Review A different place in time. A young girls tries to put into perspective the traumatizing events of the day her mother’s murder. Now grown she is being courted by the monsters son. Jo is at her best while taking care of the Family farm. She is a hard worker and doesn’t mind getting dirty.
These are hard times, little water and dust storms that kill.
Secrets are reviled that make Jo rethink what she has believed her whole life.He family is better off than a lot of the towns people, but now she wonders what was traded for that privilege? When one of the “Top Dog’s” men goes rouge, you find out things are not as black and white as they seem. In the gray area is where you may find a sworn enemy can be a life saver.
I can hardly wait for the next book to come out. Mrs. Pogue always sucks me in with her brilliant body of works. Always surprising me with the new worlds she creates. If you haven’t read any of Lindsey’s books I urge you to pick one up.
Interesting. decent characters, unexpected plot twists keep a reader slightly uncomfortable…promise of a happy ending (in the next segment)
