Asher is an unexpected wrench in her life. He’s annoyingly charming, and despite never wanting to see him again, she needs his help. I definitely love Asher & Echo, there is no way that I will be able to choose a favorite in this series. The series has an overarching storyline that continues, but each book revolves around a new couple. But don’t worry, we still see plenty of the individuals from the previous book.
After an tragedy on her 16th, Echo has kept to herself, being a loaner both as a detective and in her personal life. Asher left his family home to escape expectations of who he would choose to carry on his family line. A very interesting chance meeting brings these two together, nothing like a cat in need of help to bring two people together
I loved this book just as much as the previous one. This series has such a different concept for the books & I love it. I have always been a Marvel & DC fan, and this series is perfect if you enjoy superheroes.
I cannot wait to start the last book in this series!
You dont think that this series could get better but everytime the next book comes out it does, absolutely loved this story and they may be a little different but god i have enjoyed them so far.
This is not the run of the mill love story it is so much more that, not only do we get two amazing characters but one hell of a story filled with action and drama and it’s just written so perfectly. Whilst i was reading this i could just see it playing out in my mind and when i read a story like this i usually find it hard.
In this book we meet Asher and Echo who both have interesting pasts. Asher was such a good character who was special in his own right but had a had a heart of gold. One meeting with Echo and he knew she was it.
Echo’s character was a favourite of mine but I’m pretty sure it’s because i think her special power is pretty cool. She was a police officer and had a nasty past which she needed to get revenge for. This revenge leads her to the family she needs and to a group of special people.
That’s the thing i love about this series is these different and special characters all coming together to be a big happy family. There is so much going on in these books i couldn’t put it down loved every aspect of it. I love that we got another two characters we hadn’t met yet.
I also love that i can’t wait to read the next book in the series going to be very interesting and highly anticipating the final instalment in this amazing series.
Jessica Florence has done it again with another amazing story loved loved loved it massive 5 Stars from me
DUSK, just like the author said, was a total game changer. With a feisty heroine, an irresistible magic boy, and an attraction so sizzling that will make you purr. Jessica Florence has created not only an exceptional, fascinating world but characters that become family. And I don’t want this family to end, like never!
Dusk took me on an epic journey full of magic, animals, and some twists and turns. From start to finish I was pulled in on this remarkable ride and fell in love once again with Jessica Florence writing style for this series. A sexy, fast-paced style that leaves nothing behind. Love, friendship, family, hotness, you name it, she gives it to you…and this time she gifted me with a dash of suspense that had me pulling my hair out.
The Hero Society, Dawn, Day and Dusk, is a reading experience not to be missed. If you’re looking for something different and addictive, this is your series. Read these books. I’m just going to be here ignoring the fact that the next book is going to be the last one. Denial mood on, people.
I am completely blown away by this series and each book just gets better and better!
~WRITING – PLOT – PACE~
WOWEE…So this one turned out to be my favorite of the series so far. I had my reservations at the beginning (see heroine section) but Jessica pulled it off in a spectacular fashion. It was well written. The pace was perfect. The plot was super engaging and kept me guessing until the end. Speaking of that ending…I CANNOT wait to see what this author has in store for us in the finale.
~HERO~
AHSER…I liked Asher’s character a lot, but again like the hero from the previous book he was pretty much a BETA hero. I personally prefer my heroes to be ALPHA, but he was a sweet guy, so I found myself not being bothered by that in this book. I loved the whole twist with the “mates” thing. I loved how patient Asher was with Echo. I loved that he was a kicka$$ magic boy. I just really enjoyed his character a lot.
~HEROINE~
ECHO…I wasn’t sure if I was going to like Echo at the start of this book. She was somewhat bitchy, and I was worried I was going to be getting another utterly unlikable heroine like Lilith from book two. But I was pleasantly surprised that she lost a lot of her bitchiness quite quickly, and she became much more likable as the book went on. Oh, she still had an edge to her, but it was a positive character trait and made her more bada$$ and less annoyingly bitchy. I also LOVED that she was a shapeshifter. Very cool addition to the Hero Society family Miz Florence. Echo actually turned out to be a fantastic heroine for me, so yay.
~SECONDARY CHARACTERS~
There were a lot of great secondary characters in this book. All the Hero Society people from previous books. Plus we got a peek at a couple of characters that are VAWRY intriguing, to say the least. I can’t wait to see what is up with both Esme and Dorian.
~HEAT LEVEL~
LOW. This was again pretty slow burn in the sex department. We only get a couple sex scenes, but they were both suitably hot. Both the heat level and the frequency felt right for the story, and this couple had good on page chemistry.
~ANGST LEVEL~
LOW. There is some reluctance on Echo’s part, to begin with, but she warms up to Asher pretty quickly. They were a solid couple through most of the book. Most of the angst (if you want to call it that) comes from the baddies and the state of the city. There was also no OW or OM drama, and neither were virgins.
~IN THE END~
I LOVED it. It started off a bit rocky for me but it soon found its footing and I was hooked. It was fabulously written. It had twists and turns. It had sweet moments. It had sad moments. It had an excellent plot and a cast of very likable characters. I am excited to see what the final book will bring. Therefore yours truly is going to give this one two HUGE thumbs up.description
