Classic SciFi…must read for any fan of SciFi
this book creates a whole world with ties to existing world, but well hidden and masked. Reads great, even if you don’t get the connections.
This is a classic science fiction book. I think people to love that genre have already read it and loved it, but if you haven’t it opens the world of “Dune”.
I read this series years ago and loved it. I am now going to read it all again.
Read it many times. One of my all time favorites
IMHO, a must read Sci-Fi classic. It’s the entry book for a series of follow-ons, which all great reading too…MJC
One of the first scifi-fantasy books I ever read. Still one of my favorites.
I read this book and all the books in this series. The movie is enjoyable but so much more detail is in the book.
my favorite book
Read twice many years apart. 1st time was great but didn’t age well.
If you haven’t read “Dune,” you haven’t yet read true science fiction.
I’ve read all the related titles. The characters are real, their motivations honest and the political machinations hidden in this sci-fi setting are truly horrifying in their believability.
I read this entire series many years ago. Each book was a page-turner that made me want to read the next book. I highly recommend this series!
a wonderfully creative sci fi universe
An essential for fans of Sci-Fi. What the characters lack in dimension is redeemed by a fast paced and incredibly smart plot.
Classic sci fi. This is a “must read” for anyone serious about sci fi writing.
After I read this book, I ran around the house turning off dripping faucets for over a month!
