Easy read but good weekend read.
Cute set and easy reads
A good read!
great read loved it
These were super quick reads for me
I will be reading the rest if this series. Who wouldnt want to inherit such an old big house, with a past?
This is the kind of cozy that could turn me off the genre for life. If you do read the collection, I suggest you don’t read read them one right after another. Unfortunately I did because they’re so short. But if you do read them one right after another, you’ll also discover a) there’s a great deal of repetitive information in them, b) excessive and annoying references to older folks “giggling”, and c) inconsistences in main character references.
Additionally, I know the books are fiction, but I’ve become accustomed to fiction writers who make some attempt to make their characters and settings as authentic as possible. Perhaps it was because the books were so short, the plots so transparent, and the amount of repetition that caused me to notice errors. The one that leaped out at me was a reference to Civil War attacks occurring along the northern New England coast to explain why someone was killed under the porch of the BnB. Seriously?
I really enjoyed this series and couldn’t put them down until finished
Dune house was well written, and I am ready to read more books written by this author. I had already read the first one, but it was a while ago, so I reread it and wasn’t disappointed a bit!! Hugs, Gramsbear…
Enjoyed reading this book and the fact that each story was a continuation of
the persons in the town of Garber. Each story had the same main characters.
Suzie and Mary are a dynamic duo of middle aged Lucy and Ethel like ladies. They are relate able, funny and entertaining. You just never know what Mary is going to drag them into next. Very cute stories.
A great book set to take on vacation. Has it all, easy read, great, lovable ch actors, good story lines & very relaxing reads
These sugary-sweet, simplistic books are best suited for a young reader, perhaps age ten or so. The only problem is, no self-respecting fifth grader wants to read a book about a fifty year old protagonist.
This series is entertaining and good quick read
Quick interesting mysteries. Love interest was cute also.
Have to read every one of this author’s books.
Fun, easy to read. Good characters.
If you like murder mysteries without a lot of sex and violence but with down to earth main characters you will like these cozy stories.
Entertaining shorter mystery stories, just right for relaxed reading.
Love the whole series!
