,He might be a bad-ass biker king, but he only wants to rule her heart. She’s the air in my lungs. The color in my world. But I’m no prince with a castle. I’m the king of the most feared MC on the West Coast. The kingdom I inherit is everything she hates and everything she’s running from. I’m the monster lurking in the shadows. Waiting, biding my time to make her mine. She can try to run, but … mine.
She can try to run, but I’ve already caught her. She just doesn’t know it yet.
There’s no escape from this…from us.
She’s asking for trouble teasing me the way that she does.
She’s made a mistake.
A bad one.
I’m not like the pathetic boys at her college. I’m an ex-marine, and I’m not gonna take being played.
I wasn’t expecting her to put up a fight. Taming her just might be the biggest battle I’ve faced yet, but I’m determined to make it the sweetest victory for us both.
She’s my angel, but I’m her devil.
Together we’re gonna burn.
Note: The main gal has more than one love interest. This isn’t cheatin’ its a hot love triangle.
This is the first book of the CREED MC SERIES. No Cliffhangers and Each book features a different couple.more
This book doesn’t have as much Motorcycle club stuff as most, but I really enjoyed the behind the scenes part of how the club involves people who haven’t patched in themselves. I loved the fire these two had for each other even though they seemed to be lost as to what to do with each other most of the time. Very happy to see their hea in this book.
Narration was great! Rodney Falcon does a great job with all his voices and their emotions combined.
OMG Duke and Shanna story from the minute i started listen, Duke meets Shanna in bar she owes. They have undeniably attraction, Theres twists along the way that jump out you that you dont see coming. if you like MC romance with a great story line, great characters and lots of emotion, this Audio is for you. Rodney does an awesome job of narration
“Duke” drew me in from the very beginning. I had a hard time putting it down once I started reading! The story of Duke and Shanna made me think on the fact that somethings in life are decided for you. It had a great story line with a few twists and turns that I didn’t see coming! Great job Jax!
“Duke” is the first book in a new MC series and got to say I really did enjoy this one.
It would have been a much higher star rating for this but there were a few instances here that really set my teeth on edge; which was a real shame as the writing style used here was so easy to get lost in and relate to.
So I will start with the good; this was well written, emotive and heartfelt.
I loved the main characters; both Duke and Shanna and was rooting for them all the way.
I adored that this was an age-gap romance; they are so my guilty pleasure; this was the ultimate cherry on the cake for me.
This was plenty smoking hot and the chemistry between Duke and Shanna was off the charts.
In fact, this was rolling along quite nicely and all was good with my world until; and here’s my bad; things went to hell in a handbasket.
Everything was so good and hunky dory; then major car crash moment or several of them.
“Duke” then changed dramatically for me.
we are now introduced to a bit of a love triangle and nobody has the patience to just wait a damn second for things to get back on track.
I’m talking about both Shanna and Duke here; both needed their heads banging together.
This kinda spoiled event’s slightly for me; I’m an all in sort of girl and not a big fan of my lovers getting their juice from elsewhere.
This didn’t actually go all the way here; so I could still kinda deal, but it was enough that it pissed me the hell off and ultimately spoilt my enjoyment Of Duke.
Was not a happy bunny at this point; thankfully our pair of lovers do eventually pull themselves together and get back on track; so I forgave them after I’d finished cursing their arses of course.
Despite my above moaning, this was still an excellent read that was easy to get lost in and enjoy.
The author did a fantastic job of reeling in the reader and managed to keep my interest throughout.
Another Dual POV tale which is by far my personal preference and Duke also came equipped with a great cast of secondary individuals which also added to the overall experience.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC of “Duke” of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
Wow!!!
This story blew me away, couldnt put it down till I was done.
It had the darkness to it but I found it to be a great love story and the characters Duke and Shanna fought hard to have their HEA. This was book 1 in the series and I just bought #2 & #3.
Jax Hart is a new author for me and i cant get enough of his work.
This was my first Jax Hart book and won’t be my last. I love a good MC book and really enjoyed this one. Duke decides he wants Shanna as soon as he sees her. Shanna wants no part of the MC life she grew up in but can’t help they way she responds to Duke. This book has drama, suspense and everything in between you could want. Hot read!!!
Shanna grew up the Princess of the MC and hated it. She always felt smothered and wanted to spread her wings. Duke’s father was the Prez of the MC but he left and didn’t want anything to do with it. But when his father died and he went back for the funeral he saw Shanna and knew even though she was young and the daughter of his fathers rival she was going to be his. The journey to their HEA was full of danger, heartache, sexual tension, distance and love. Good read

Drama and angst overload
This review is for the third version of Duke, the first book in the CREED MC series by Jax Hart. I had not read this book before so I am not sure what it was like previously. For me this was an okay read but not what I had expected given the book description and the MC world that it is written in. The book does set-up the world of the CREED MC and the characters nicely. I did like the characters but there was just too much drama and angst for me compared to the rest of the story. I found myself skipping and skimming pages because I was just over a lot of the supposed turmoil. In the end I am left with the feeling that the story-line and characters had a lot of promise but it was just not delivered on for me.
Duke left the MC life at 18, joined the Marines and eventually started a business. Shanna is 23 and desperate for freedom. When Duke returns to town and sees her he’s determined to make Shanna his woman. She’s determined to be with someone else – someone not affiliated with an MC. Will she get what she wants or who she needs? This slow burn is hot from the beginning – I don’t know how she could deny Duke but their relationship is complicated by other people and responsibilities. This story is full of interesting characters expressing yearning, frustration, violence, betrayal and love. I stayed up late to get to their worthy HEA. Can’t wait to read the rest of this series – I hope Tarak gets a story!

This big bad biker walked into a bar and changed not just his life, but hers as well. This may the the life she is trying to get away from, but he is determined to change her mind and make her his, in every way possible. This start of a series gets 10’s from me!!

This is book one of the Creed MC series. This is the story of two people that have grown up in the MC life but one wants to change it and the other wants nothing to do with it anymore. Duke is the new President of the Creed MC, the most feared MC on the west coast and he walks into her bar and sets his eyes on her. Shanna is attracted to Duke, no doubt but she knows exactly who he is and she wants nothing to do with the MC life. She is taking her hard earned money and heading off to LA once she graduates. Do either of these characters get their way or can they make the best compromise of all? I enjoyed reading this book and cannot wait to see what the rest of the series brings. Great read, enjoy!

Unfortunately this was a good read for me. I don’t mind slow burns but it just read to slow for me. I lost interest. This story is about Duke and Shanna. Duke I s a forty year old son of a biker. On the day of her father’s funeral, he meets Shanna and falls immediately for this 20 year old girl. I had issue with her as she was just a 20 year old but acted like an I a true teen and Duke didn’t behave much better. He behaved like an old hound dog and wasn’t a good look. I kinda lost interest at that point.

Duke: Creed MC by Jax Hart. When I see a new book from Jax Hart – it’s a one click pick for me. I love a good dark and twisted MC romance. And this one had a lot of drama, personal struggles and sexy dirty scenes. I loved the plot, strong characters and the dual POV throughout the story. Grab your copy today! Duke is older, bossy, hot, sexy and demanding. Then he meets Shanna. She is a feisty spitfire that gives him a run for his money. Duke and Shanna’s father found the Creed MC so they grow up in the MC. Duke leaves at 18 and doesn’t return until his fathers funeral. There he meets up with Shanna again but things don’t go so smoothly for them. Plenty of twists and turns and just when you think that Duke and Shanna have made it to their HEA there is a major twist. I enjoyed this story very much. Will check out other books by this author. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
2.5 Stars
The story line was okay, the character work was good and the book had a fairly smooth flow to it. I so wanted to like this book more than I did, but when an author can’t even get a location correct, such as: Disney World, California and not Disneyland, California or Disney World, Orlando, Florida (which in my opinion if far superior to Disneyland), it makes it very difficult to want to continue reading. There were spelling and grammatical errors throughout the book. When reading a book I prefer to have words and not text shorthand. With some serious editing and refining this could be a great book. I was entertained, but not as much as I could have.

Duke left the Creed MC behind twenty years ago but he’s back after his father’s passing. Shanna the daughter of his fathers enemy has captured his eye and he can’t seem to leave. Shanna was raised in the MC life but Rog and her father has kept her protected. She wants more out of life than the MC. She wants Duke but not comes with. Lots of angsty push and pull between Duke and Shanna! This a fabulous MC romance!

Duke is the president of an MC. As a president, you would think that he had more confidence when it came to Shanna. Shanna was scared and did things her way, regardless of who got hurt. The book was a little longer than it should have been but overall was good. The inner dialogue was a little too much. The author kept you guessing toll the end if they will get their HEA.
