Book one of the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club…
Duke’s friend’s little sister had been off limits when they were growing up, but Gen is all woman now, with the sexiest curves ever. However, bringing her into his life now, as the new Rolling Thunder chapter establishes itself as a powerhouse in Chattanooga, would put her in danger.
Gen has no idea she already knows one of the bikers until she … the bikers until she arrives to show them some downtown properties they’re looking to buy.
They live in different worlds, and despite being a successful businesswoman, Gen has led a sheltered life. She wears couture, while Duke wears Levi jeans and his MC colors on a black leather vest. Not to mention, he’s a werewolf and she’s a blissfully unaware human. Can two people, so different, possibly work?
Warning: A controlling, drop-dead gorgeous werewolf who happens to be president of a motorcycle club.

What a marvelous love story! It’s true that opposites do attract and Gen and Duke are certainly proof of that. She smooths out his rough edges and she is able to release a bit of her wild side when she’s with him. The Duke has found his Duchess and they are a perfect match.
O.M.G. this book as me hot from the get go! Candace Blevins does an amazing job of building this story! The characters are so fun! I love that Gen is innocent yet not afraid to stand up for herself! I like the strength that Duke has and won’t back down in certain things!
Candace gives us an amazing story with lots of push and pull! It will keep you intrigued until the end! It was the perfect balance of story and sexiness!!! 5 BIG stars!
Duke and Gen have belonged together for a long time apparently, and I am so glad that they finally found each other!
Duke and a few of the members of his motorcycle club are moving from Atlanta to set up their own chapter in Chattanooga. The crime rate is high where they want to go, and having a club in the area helps bring it down. But it takes time to establish, so even when Duke has his instant attraction to Gen as their realtor, and after it is pointed out to him, he stays away from pursuing her until things are more settled. But once he sets out to get her, that werewolf is persistent and tenacious is getting his woman
Gen has brought herself up in the world but working hard and being business savvy. She has horrible taste in men though, and all that hard work meant she didn’t spend a lot of time worrying about it. She hasn’t explored a lot of life sexually with men, and doesn’t think she is missing anything. Keeping everything professional in her work life, and working hard, means she is pretty straightlaced, and that in no way prepares her for Duke
Both Duke and Gen explore the relationship and don’t really change, but adjust a little, to fit better with the other. They both realize early on that staying as themselves around the other just won’t work, and they both really want this to work. They both make mistakes and need to ask for forgiveness, and they both are strong willed and have to learn to bend a bit. These are two very smart people, so they do work things out once given a chance to reflect
The paranormal element isn’t strong in the book, but it is there. The link between Duke and Gen is interesting and something I hadn’t seen before – very cool! Duke and the club members are shifters, most werewolves, and Gen is human. Some of the side characters are paranormal as well, but lots of humans too.
The book really felt like the building of a family, with Duke and Gen at the head. So many growing pains, but at the end, all these people are part of the bigger thing because of Duke and Gen!
Here we are introduced to Gen who is Realtor wearing designer clothes and $1200.00 shoes. Next we meet Duke wearing jeans and a T-shirt with a leather vest with a President’s patch for the motorcycle club planning on moving into the area. Much to the surprise of both of them it turns out she knew him as Keith and he was one of her brother’s best friends in high school and she had a huge crush on him and he on her but little sisters couldn’t be touched. Yet it seems they are now in opposite lifestyles and off limits once again.
At first they seem to be portrayed as opposites – he’s the hot alpha male with lots of experience and she’s had bad luck with men and finds it difficult to trust and is very shy about sex. Which Duke is determined to rectify that by helping her get over her trust issues and her sexual hang-ups by treating her gently and introducing her to her own sensuality. Of course it doesn’t go smoothly as they are both independant people with stubborn streaks and tempers. But that also brings passion making it into a very intense and romantic relationship.
And now Ms Blevins allows you to see the respect that grows between them over time as their characters appreciate each other’s strengths and more equality between them. Nice to see that while the female lead in the book may be a bedroom submissive, she can handle herself with the best of them with her martial arts training and firearm proficiency.
And being a book by Candace Blevins there are lots of hot and steamy scenes although compared to her other books the kink is light.
Gen also gets introduced the some of the supernatural community while being shown that Duke is a werewolf and impresses them all by her easy acceptance of the situation having already seen some of the “wild” in his eyes when his wolf had been close to the surface.
There is also danger, intrigue and suspense enough to keep the plot very interesting.
While this is book 1 in the series, I read books 2, 3, 4 and more first and am very glad I came back to read this one first.
I was provided with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A bad-boy-biker with a soft spot.
But only one. And she’s called Gen.
As unlikely as it seems, especially regarding Duke’s not quite average personality, those two are fighting their way to a relationship that is more than satisfying for both.
And as a bonus we meet old friends from other series that blend seamlessly into the whole world Ms Blevins is peopling with her captivating creations.
