Elizabeth “Lizzie” von Klepper has a problem of mythic proportions—she’s the oldest virgin in the world. Invited to perform on Pleasure Island with her best friend, she devises a plan to seduce Solomon, and rid herself of her infernal status. They’d shared a knock your socks into orbit kiss a year ago and that had to count for something, right?Solomon Ventura adores his best friend, Lizzie. She’s … Lizzie. She’s been his best friend since their humble beginnings at Julliard, but deep down he’s yearned for her. And ever since he tasted her, a stolen kiss he’d not been able to forget, he cannot seem to stop his mind from conjuring up myriad fantasies with Lizzie in the staring role. But he’s not the man for her. She’s light where he is dark and his brand of love would shatter the only woman he’s ever cared about.
After a heated exchange, they strike a bargain, and give in to the temptation the other presents. Except as Solomon capitulates to his desire for Lizzie, he worries that now that he has sampled her seductive charms, he cannot remain unaffected. Can Solomon return to just being Lizzie’s friend at the week’s end? Or will their days filled with music and nights suffused with earth shattering seduction destroy them both?

This is one amazingly emotional romance!
This book is so very good!
Lizzie may have everything that money can buy but she has no idea what love or affection feels like because of her chillingly cold parents. The only person to ever show her affection has been her best friend, Solomon. But Solomon has his own issues with love and affection and doesn’t think he deserves Lizzie, other than as her friend. But Lizzie has decided it’s time for things to change… and so, change they will. The question is whether their long friendship will survive the changes.
I’ll admit that I had tears streaming for the last part of the book… but it is a happily ever after, finally. *heartfelt sigh*
Again, it deals with the BDSM lifestyle and it’s many, many variations so if that’s not for you don’t read this book. But, this whole series has been amazing and this book is no different.

This is a story of friends to lovers with a side of Dom/sub relationship. Solomon has been in love with Lizzie since they met in college, but he fears she is not suited to his lifestyle. Lizzie has loved Sol since they met, but has never really felt worthy of anyone’s love. They each put the other firmly in the friend category. Now, YEARS later, they find themselves on Pleasure Island, booked to perform music for the guests, but Lizzie has decided to take a chance with Solomon. The rest you will have to discover for yourself, but I can tell you there are some luscious secondary characters you DO NOT want to miss. Give it a go, you can thank me later. ;D

Strong females, hunky alpha-males, drama, and a whole lot of sexy times. That is what you get with this one. Lizzy and Solomon have a lot of issues to work through. They have known each other for a long time, but taking their relationship from friends to lovers isn’t always easy. There are issues they both have to work through, on themselves and with each other, before they will be able to reach their HEA. I recommend picking this one up and finding out why people say to marry your best friend.
I love, love, loved this one. I have really been enjoying all of the books in the Pleasure Island Series, but I would have to say this one has been my favorite so far. The obvious love Solomon and Elizabeth (Lizzie) had for each other from page one made it so easy to get emotionally invested in their journey and outcome. I must admit there were times I wanted to smack each of them up side their heads in hope of knocking some sense into each of them, but in the end it was impossible to stay mad when both of them were a little lost and a lot hurt by life. I was overjoyed with the ending finding a warmth in their HEA. Great job. Fully stand behind recommending this one for your one click.

In this book we meet Elizabeth “Lizzie” von Klepper and Solomon Ventura. Lizzie and Solomon have been friends for years. Solomon is determined to not let one stolen kiss change that. Lizzie has a problem she is a virgin and is desperate to get rid of it. The problem she has is there is one man she wants to give it to and it seems like he doesn’t want it. When she learns how wrong she is they propose a week of giving into their desires and at the end they will go home and return to the way things were before. What happens when the two of them find they have feelings deeper than they every expected. Can they find a HEA or will this just be a mistake they made?
This is a super hot book. It has it’s ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. However I don’t want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. Make sure you have something cool near by or someone to help with all the heat this book will generate because you will need it. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
I have read this book twice and each time I have really enjoyed the story. Elizabeth “Lizzie” von Klepper is still a virgin and she wants Solomon Ventura her best friend to be her first. They are best friends from Julliard. I would recommend this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
How to persuade your best friend that you want more of him, when you are a virgin at 30 and he is a dom?
Lizzie, an accomplished flutist, has known Solomon for many years and secretly been in love with him. Having hit 30 she wants to take matters in her own hands to lose her virginity to him and no other.
Solomon loves Lizzie, but thinks she is too pure for him and tries everything to swart her efforts. The story becomes rather tragic-comic at times until they finally find a way to be together.
The book is a light fun read, entertaining and well-written.

Lizzie has had it with the world. She just walked into find her douchey, cold fish of a fiancé cheating on her after she’d been with him for 7 years. She may not have loved him, but she was loyal to the man even though he obviously did not deserve it. When she had tried to initiate intimacy between them, he always brushed her off. Now she knows why, and she’s finally determined to do something about her pesky v-card. And she knows just the man to rid her of it – her best friend, Solomon Ventura, her partner since meeting him at Juilliard, the man she makes beautiful music with, literally. As she’s on her way to spend Thanksgiving week on Pleasure Island giving performances with Solomon for the members, she knows she wants Solomon to make music with her on more than just the stage. She wants him to take her and show her all the things she’s been missing as she lived her whole life lived according to her parents’ oppressive restrictions. Now if only Solomon will agree to give into the attraction she knows he felt when they had a stolen kiss a year ago.
Unfortunately for poor Lizzie, Solomon is suffering from that good ol’ thing men too often suffer from in romance land – the feeling of not being good enough for his beautiful, delicate Lizzie, so when he rejects her, he sets off a chain of actions that he isn’t sure he can bear. Well, too bad, because Lizzie is determined to rid herself of her v-card; AND now that she knows a little of this lifestyle, she wants to explore it, so she’s going to find a Dom to help her, even if it’s not Solomon, the idiot who rejected her not once, not twice, but three times in the lifetime of their friendship.
Gah, Solomon is the sole reason for 4 rather than 5 stars. He was so hot and cold with poor Lizzie that I wanted to strangle him and punch him in the junk more than once. His self-imposed martyrdom was ridiculous and very un-dom like, and who did it hurt most? Lizzie. And she did not deserve it at all. In fact, I was rooting for her to dump him on his ass and take up with Dante and Michael, who seemed more than men enough for her, and who weren’t letting stupidity get in their way of training her in the lifestyle. Ugh. Stupid Solomon.
Aside from Solomon’s stupidity and me wishing Lizzie would end up with Dante and Michael, though, I enjoyed Duets and Dominance. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions, but it’s sexy and well-written. I’ve really liked the Pleasure Island series, and can’t wait for more to come.
Another great edition to the series! Old friends have to test their relationship and risk something new. Too bad only one of them is ready, willing, and able. Good thing their helpful friends ready to lend a hand!

4.5 Star’s!!
Okay I don’t know what to say about this book. I just really liked the book and story, the only thing I wish was there was a little more BDSM and a little more interaction with Lizzy between Dante and Michael. Before she decided to give Sol another chance and marrying him in the end.

Another wonderful book, number 6 of The Pleasure Island Collection and she continues to not disappoint. I love the “balls” Lizzie has – love females that go after what they want.
Sol was hot and Lizzie was playing with fire!
This was a terrific installment in the Pleasure Island series. Lizzie may be inexperienced, but once she decides to shed that status, she’s as bold as she needs to be – even when it gets her in trouble with the other Doms on the island. Her connection with Sol is lightning-hot and she soon finds that there’s more to Sol than she thought – now she just has to convince him there’s more to her than he thinks!
So much steam, so much love and affection between these two! They’re my favorite Pleasure Island couple, with my all-time favorite HEA. I couldn’t love this book more! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
A well written steamy and romantic story with nice storyline and plot. I like the characters and how they develop. They have a nice chemistry and they are passionate. A story about taking chances and be who you are. He has been in love with her since they went to school together but he has a secret that he is not sure if she can handle. He is a dom and wants her to have a dom/sub relationship with him.
They have a gig on Pleasure Island to play music and now things change.
Very steamy at times and engaging to read.
Friends to Lovers, maybe?
This is book 6 of the Pleasure Island series. Elizabeth is a woman that has been controlled all her life by the people who were supposed to love her. Solomon has been her best friend for 13 years. She has a plan to get this relationship moving past just business. She thought it would work after Scotland but things just derailed. Now she and Solomon are about to perform some gigs on Pleasure Island. Lizzie is sick and tired of playing games with Solomon so she takes matters into her own hands but it backfires. Solomon has a very dark past and he thinks that he will end up treating someone he loves just like his father did to his mother. So, he stays far away from involvements. Except Lizzie is under his skin and constantly on his mind. These two are fighting a losing battle because they both can’t stand to be separate or with someone else. I love the way Anya weaves other primary characters from her other books into later stories. She does it so well and it makes you feel like you know each character just a little better. Of course, this book is adult BDSM themed and yes there’s some hot scenes between these two. I love this series and this book.
