Kept my nose totally in the book. Hated to put it down!
Sentence fragments and short choppy sentences gave this book a ‘jittery’ feel, reading more like Capri’s hastily jotted ideas in a rough draft. It gives the book an ‘edgier’ feel, conveying more of a sense of tension. Sadly, that tension never developed.
Capri drops lots of names without including how they relate to her main character or …
I enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it to those who are fans of whodunits with strong female leads. Willa is indeed a strong female lead character, almost to a point where it’s slightly annoying. She’s a judge, she’s got a great husband who is perfect, she’s a rich republican, she owns a restaurant and a beautiful condo on an island …
Excellent
Couldn’t put it down!
Another terrific Diane Capri story with rich characters, inventive storyline, and satisfying conclusion.
Wasn’t a favorite-depth of character not there
Not my type
Judge Wilhemina (Willa) Carson is approached by her half-sister Carly, a lawyer, with information about the identity of a mangled dead body found under a bridge. Not much of a payoff. A lot of rambling.
Very slowwwwwww
Learn more about the judicial system while enjoying a good mystery!
Entertaining, so it did the job for me.
Not high intensity, but enough to keep you reading. Enjoyable. Believable characters who are not totally single dimensional.
Smug self-indulgent heroine/husband duo. Plot good, the telling not so much.
It was well written, good characters, I recommend it highly
Hard to follow.
I really enjoyed this. One of the best. And it’s clean too! An added pleasure.
Very good ,
Highly recommend
