Three young, wealthy titled women decide to spend the social Season admiring the bucolic splendor of the Yorkshire Dales rather than dodging fortune hunters and scandalmongers in London. The stories seemed to drag a little.
Clever though idealist. Good characters.
Wonderful story about what father/son and father/daughter relationships should not be and what some can be. Also, this story showed how a true gentleman acts
when he sees a damsel in distress.
The stories were charming, if somewhat vapid. Grace Burroughs is a lovely writer, the reason for the 4 stars. The two other stories had characters that did not seem as well rounded or interesting – quite difficult in the short story format.
As usual, with these authors, it wasn’t a close choice –I stayed up all night reading and loved it from word 1 to the last word and wanted more.
Each heroine had her own unique story to tell!
