Brie Sanders’ entire life is on the brink of change. Her college graduation is just a few months away, she has no idea what to do with her life when the degree is in her hands, and is most likely going to be kicked out of her apartment when her best friend’s boyfriend moves in.Enter One Nightstand King, Kellan Kenningston, who also happens to be a real life prince as well as a duke. From first … duke.
From first blinding white smile, Kellan becomes a royal pain in the butt who keeps her laughing and Brie becomes the breath of fresh air he desperately needs.
Unfortunately, for both of them, this isn’t a fairy tale with an immediate happily ever after. The media is a monster that can barely be tamed. Balls are not beautiful and bright. And more often than not, true evil is found in surprising forms.
This is the FIRST in a trilogy

Loved this story! Kellan and Brie are the perfect match – not taking any crap from each other but finding a love that truly completes the other and only wanting the best for that person. She pushes him to be a better person than the playboy he makes himself out to be and he pushes her to be the best she can be and truly figure out what she wants from life. The real world of being a prince and family obligations leads to a cliffhanger that leaves you yearning for more! I cannot wait to start the next part of their story!
Wow… I love Brie and Kellen.
Kellen is an arrogant, immature playboy who has had everything handed to him… and Brie is just the person to put him in his place.
Love the sharp witty banter between these two. They have lived such opposite lives… but you know what they say about opposites attracting, and their attraction and chemistry is off the charts.
This ends on a cliffhanger, so be prepared for book 2.
I love the banter in this book!
Wow, this is the perfect RomCom for me. Banter, a fiery FMC and unexpected love. Fighting for what they want Kellan and Brie are just amazing. But the ending, oh wow jumping to book 2 now, even though it’s 1 am. 18+
I love a Royal romance. There’s just something that makes my heart happy.
Duke Kellan Kensington is the epitome of royalty and all that it entails. The good, the bad, and the ugly. But past mistakes catch up, and he must clean up his act.
Cue our fresh and feisty heroine, Brie Sanders. She’s focused on school and definitely not interested in any Royal BS. But apparently she’s the one that can change our bad boy.
I love the banter and the fierce attraction. It’s a battle for everything. But the victor will reign supreme…maybe.
Oh my! I loved this so much! This story is light, fun, has amazing back and forth between the characters yet there’s some very heart twisting, heart touching moments as well. Kellan and Brie click amazingly well, and I adored them both. I love how the story is told, the friends, the family, everyone that we meet bring so much to the story. This is the start of what is going to be a great trilogy and I cannot wait to dig in to the next read!
This was a re-read of this book and I have to say that I liked it even more this time and I think that was simply because the whole “breaking the fourth wall” element to the story was not new to me. In case you are unaware, the books in this wonderful series got snazzy new covers and had some new content added, but the story remains the same. I read this originally way back in 2017 and oh how I wish with all my heart that I could say that that the story didn’t age well, but tragically the struggles and obstacles that Kellen and Brie face still are very current and timely. I fell head over heels for these two. Their chemistry is off the charts, their banter sharp and clever and there is just a charming sweetness between them. Even though this was a re-read for me, my attention was caught and held easily and completely. In fact, I stayed up late just to finish it. This book is an emotional powerhouse. It hits you with mega feels and swoon, tugs at your heartstrings and it has your emotions running the gamut of the good, the bad and yes, even a bit of the ugly. This is my elective, objective review.
Xavier Neal grabs your attention and shows you a man who is more than his persona, and the woman who helps bring that out in him. Fun, heart-warming and somber, she brings all the feels with this one. Cannot wait for book 2!!!
