A NEW STANDALONE title from Samantha Lind in her Lyrics and Love series! NICKBeautiful, broken, and abandoned. The second I see her in my bar,With cover charge stamps plastering her hands,I know what I have to do.Take her home,Get her into bed,Where I know she’ll be safe. I do exactly that.Leaving her keys and my number,As I lock the door behind me. She deserves more,So much more.ASHLEYShattered, … and my number,
As I lock the door behind me.
She deserves more,
So much more.
ASHLEY
Shattered, vulnerable, and alone,
Trapped in a lifetime of hurt,
Trying to break the cycle.
But he came in,
Saved me,
From myself,
From my circumstances.
Showing me compassion,
And respect.
Proving I am so much more.
More than just a pathetic drunk girl.

Great story! I’ve volunteered to review this book for United Indie Book Blog. Drunk girl is the second book in the Lyrics and Love series. This is Ashley and Nick’s story. When Nick sees Ashley at his pub that he owns. She looks so sad. Nothing is going right for Ashley right now. So, she decided to go to the bar with her friend. Nick is just what Ashley needed. The characters were all wonderfully written with amazing chemistry between them. Nick and Ashley were perfect for each other. I loved their chemistry. Keep up the great work! Can’t wait to read more from this series.
This is the 2nd book in this series and is Nick and Ashley’s story. Ashley has had a tough life and when her life is once again falling apart, she is forced to move back in with her mom. When she goes out to a pub with friend’s they leave her there when they go home, and Nick, who is the bartender and owner of the pub notices how sad and lonely she appears. A few nights later she is in the pub again and Nick drives her home and leaves his number. These two are great together as Nick works hard to make Ashley realize her self-worth. This is a well written story which is sweet, and with twists, emotions, heartbreak, and love. I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend.
Oh my I am so in love with Nick he is absolutely swoon worthy! Ashley comes into his bar when her life has fallen apart. For some reason Nick is drawn to her and wants to make her life better. When they meet again a short time later both feel the pull to connect. Can Nick win her heart all while convincing her that not all men are losers.
So I fell so hard for this book and these characters. I love that the story is inspired by a song that moved the author and it just so happens it is one of my favorite songs. Lind made Nick the true hero in that he shows Ashley how a woman should be treated. Drunk Girl is a make my heart happy kind of story. I am really looking forward to exploring more of Lind’s work.
Second book in the lyrics and love series and I fell completely head over heels in love with Nick, the hero as did our heroine Ashley. This did such a sweet story with just the right amount of heat.
Ashley has nothing going right in her life when she meets Nick at his bar. Love the lyrics built into the story. Great second book in the series. I love music
What a beautiful story. These two are just great and I loved their love story. It is an insta-love, so keep that in mind. I liked the way they blended together and how they were both very positive with one another.
Is give this a 3.5 star rating and I voluntarily reviewed this book from the author
Nick and Ashley are perfect for each other if he can convince her of that.
Ashley is broken and broke when Nick meets her at his bar that he co-owns with his brother. With tears in her eyes he invites her to have something to eat while her dead phone charges in order for her to call an uber.
Nick can’t get Ashley out of his mind so when she comes in the next week with her friends, celebrating ones birthday he immediately sends over a round of shots. Then when the night is over and all the other ladies have gone home he offers to take Ashley home. She accepts but then discovers he refuses to take advantage of a Drunk Girl.
As the story goes on Nick and Ashley spend more and more time together they realize this is one of the relationships that is a BOOM!
Every girl would be lucky to meet and snag a guy like Nick but alas Ashley got to him before I did LOL.
Grab a copy of this book, a glass of wine and maybe your man when you’re finished reading because this is one fantastic book with an HEA on more than one level 5 years later.
Drunk Girl is book two in the Lyrics & Love series and is a standalone in the series, but don’t miss out on the other book cause it was so good. I love the snippet of her other series that made a cameo in here. Our love of music, author playlist and songs that makes us think of characters while listening to a music has made headway and this series gives us just that. The authors take on how the song in a story plays out. Love it!
This story could have been spun so much differently and I’m glad it didn’t. Ashley had enough bad things happen throughout her life. Nick being the co-owner of the bar, Tap House sees plenty as a bartender, but he sees Ashley for so much more. Ashley/Nick were different (opposites attract), but from the moment they met there was a bond. Who knew that a crappy day that Ashley had would turn for the better?! Whoever said, “drowning your sorrows in a bar is wrong” doesn’t know these two. He shows her that she’s more than a “Drunk Girl”.
You fall in love with the characters, you feel their emotions and you wish that bar was real cause I’d be going to try some beers and food. I love reading this series and hope there is more Lyrics & Love coming soon.

Drunk Girl is everything!! It provides you with all the feels that leave you with such a book hangover!
Samantha Lind has provided us all with another fabulous wordy creation!! Drunk Girl had me hooked from the beginning and kept me up all night finishing this baby. I could not put it down!
Ashley meets Nick while she is drinking to forget her ex at his bar. From the moment they meet, sparks fly and it just goes from there. Ashley is in no way looking for a relationship and she tells herself that plenty of times once she meets Nick. However, Nick has this way about him that warms her heart.
I fell in love with both Ashley and Nick’s characters straight from the beginning. They are both just so down to earth, do not sugar coat anything, and love — like — with their entire heart. As I stated above, Ashley is not looking for a relationship but when you meet the one, you know.
Drunk Girl is fast-paced, just the way I like it, and leaves you with the best book hangover EVER!! I have been a fan of Samantha Lind for a while now and she will continue to have me as a fan because her writing is breathtaking.
I highly encourage you all to read this baby and listen to the song that inspired it. Samantha also has a backlist of books that you should definitely check out.
I am going to end my review here because if I go on anymore I will be giving it away and I do not roll that way!! One-Click this gem!
GAH!!! Drunk Girl is amazing! I am so in love with this new series from Samantha Lind! So sweet, very little angst (just enough to keep the story going) and sooooo hawt! Nick and Ashley were amazing! I read this book in one sitting! This may be my new favorite from Samantha! FIVE HUGE STARS!
Now I will be the first to admit, when I realized that Ms. Lind created the Lyrics and Love series based on country songs. I was a bit reluctant, I am not a big fan of country music. But I have loved all of Ms. Lind’s work so far and so I went into this story and this series with an open mind.
I am so glad I did….I may still not care for country music, but I am so loving this series!
Drunk Girl is the next book in this series and I absolutely loved it.
Ms. Lind brings the heat, brings the heart and brings the angst that a good story needs.
This is Ashley and Nick’s story.
Ashley has had a craptacular day, and decides to drowned her sorrows at Nick’s bar. Nick sees a girl filled with sorrow and wants to help, in the most gentlemanly way possible. (Swoon, swoon)
Ashley has a strength within her to overcome her horrible past. Yet she guards her heart and her soul against further hurt.
I floved how Nick was able to show Ashley what a real man is capable of. What a real man does for the woman he loves.
This story is beautiful, and swoony and maybe change your attitude towards country lyrics! (Wink, wink!!)
Similar to Marry Me, Drunk Girl by Samantha Lind is based on a song and will pull you right on from the start. Ashely’s life has not been an easy one. Even so she was strong and determined, if a bit sad. When Nick sees her in his bar, he is drawn to her and helps her when she needs it. He was so sweet and caring and very patient with her. I loved their chemistry and watching them fall. It was such a charming and light read!

I’m a fan of Samntha Lind’s writing because she creates such engaging characters. There is a lot of emotional depth to them. It had me rooting for them right from the beginning. My heart broke for Ashley. She hasn’t had it easy when it comes to life, but she keeps getting back up. That’s something to admire. It made me so happy when Nick enters her life. She deserves someone like him in her corner. Nick is one of the good ones. Right from the start he will win you right over. He has a heart of gold. The epilogue made me so happy to see how far Ashley has come.
This is the second book in the Lyrics & Love Series, but this story can be read as a complete standalone. Nick and Ashley’s story is sweet and cute. I don’t know why, but I have a thing for bar owners and bartenders, so I like Nick. The Epilogue is cute. I received a free review copy of this book and I have voluntarily left this review. I received a free review copy of this book and I have voluntarily left this review.
Omg. I loved nick and ashley! Fantastic book!! I highly recommend dropping everything and reading this right now.
This author never ceases to amaze me. She can take the most everyday story and turn it into something wonderful and interesting. Seriously, she writes stories that are real and hit your heart. These are situations that everyone of us can identify with.
This time she writes about a down on her luck girl who finds herself in a bar after a very bad day. Through the kindness of a basic stranger he offers her assistance. In an instant and a instance her life begins to possibly take a turn for the better. Proving yet again, “Life can change on a dime”.
This is a story of kindness, sadness, sweetness, hope and love. I don’t do spoilers. I don’t think it’s fair to the author. However, if you’re looking for a sweet story that will touch your heart this is the book for you.
If you’re a fan of this author you’ll be happy to know you’ll get to see some of your favorite characters from previous books.
Ashley and Nick will bring all the feels for which you were looking.
I feel like this might be one of my favorite Samantha Lind books ever. Drunk girl is all the sweetness I’ve come to love from Samantha’s writing amplified by 100. This is a seriously sugar coma inducing, heavy swooning, heart melting, feel good read! It’s completely impossible to not smile your way through it.
Nick is pretty much book boyfriend goals. He’s sweet, thoughtful, and a complete gentleman. There’s not one ounce of brood, angst or caveman to be found here and as much as I love me a good broody alpha it was so nice to curl up with this total sweetheart of a man.
This was a sweet story, all about overcoming adversity, and how having that one person stand by you while you achieve your dreams makes it all worth it! I absolutely fell in love with Ashley and Nick, right from the beginning, and their story is a refreshing change from the drama filled books that litter the book shelves today. Don’t get me wrong, life isn’t smooth sailing for these two, but their story is filled with the love and happiness that we expect from this author!
Ashley has had a pretty chaotic upbringing, and her adulthood so far hasn’t been all that great either. Brought up by a single mother, who struggled to take care of them, she knows what it means to be poor. But despite that, she was happy. Now being an adult, has been one bad relationship after another. She’s pretty much lost hope of a good guy being left out there. Until Nick.
Nick is one of those guys. Hard working, not afraid to take a chance to achieve his dreams, he hasn’t really had the time or inclination to start a relationship. Until Ashley.
This book is exactly what I needed right now. A reminder that love doesn’t have to be complicated. Ashley and Nick are perfect together, right from their first meeting. I can’t help but love how well they fit together. I enjoyed their story, and think that it is one that many readers will also enjoy!
I received a review copy before release for an honest review.
This was an awesome story. Truth is I have never read a bad book by this author. She definitely is a very talented author. That said this is a story about a song and I had never heard the song, after reading the book I googled it and yes the author did an amazing job of writing a book that was very much like the song.
The Drunk Girl song is about a girl who is down in the dumps and she meets a guy that instead of taking advantage of her being drunk, helps her instead and that turns her life around. And that is who Nick is in this story.
Drunk Girl is Ashley and life has not gone the way she wanted it too. She ends up drunk at Nick’s bar and that is how the two meet and how the Drunk Girls song and scenes happen.
Nick is our hero and he is pretty darned awesome and this story shows how doing a good deed, can really turn a whole life around. I loved it so much. It is a well written story with lots of heart and romance and two very awesome characters.
Ashley has the worst luck with men. She has not had the best life, but she is loved by her Mom who raised her. This is a sweet story based on the lyrics to a song. After her boyfriend cheats on her, in her apartment. She can’t find the motivation to go home. So she moves back in with her Mom.
While out drinking with her friends at a bar in Nashville. She stays after everyone leaves. The bartender/ owner Nick brings her water and something to eat. This develops into this fairytale for Ashley. You have to read this it will give you the warm fuzzies that someone who has had the worst of luck could end up with the best!
