I do exactly that.Leaving her keys and my number,As I lock the door behind me. She deserves more,So much more.ASHLEYShattered, … and my number,
As I lock the door behind me.
She deserves more,
So much more.
ASHLEY
Shattered, vulnerable, and alone,
Trapped in a lifetime of hurt,
Trying to break the cycle.
But he came in,
Saved me,
From myself,
From my circumstances.
Showing me compassion,
And respect.
Proving I am so much more.
More than just a pathetic drunk girl.

Similar to Marry Me, Drunk Girl by Samantha Lind is based on a song and will pull you right on from the start. Ashely’s life has not been an easy one. Even so she was strong and determined, if a bit sad. When Nick sees her in his bar, he is drawn to her and helps her when she needs it. He was so sweet and caring and very patient with her. I loved their chemistry and watching them fall. It was such a charming and light read!

Happy reading!
“Where did you come from, Nicholas David Watkins?”
“Been here, just waiting on you to sweep into my life.”
I am so in love with this series!! This is the second, stand-alone book in Ms. Lind’s Lyrics and Love. I love how she finds the perfect song and then builds the perfect story around it!
Ashley’s life is falling apart. Laid off from her job, followed by finding her man in bed with someone else, and having to move back in with her Mom as a result of her bad luck, she had no idea how her life was about to do a one-eighty. After being cheated on, she sure as heck wasn’t looking for another relationship. But, she wasn’t expecting Nick. He’s everything every other man in her life…isn’t. Can she let her guard down, enjoy the ride, and find her happily ever after?
Nick noticed her from the first night she came in the bar. His bar. After downing one too many, she’s in no shape to drive, so he calls her an Uber. The next time, she’s having a celebration with her friends and again, it’s Nick to the rescue. He drives her home, tucks her in, and leaves a little note with his phone number next to her keys. She may not have had the best of times lately, or ever for that matter, but he’ll show her what a real man should be – how a real man should treat her- and if he has his way, she’ll never need another man but him.
Total swoon!! Why can’t all men be like Nick? Can you imagine? Gah!! I loved this couple! Definitely one-click this baby, and while you’re at it, grab book one, Marry Me, too!!
Judge a book by it’s cover? Absolutely! Nick is the perfect good guy every woman is looking for. He makes Ash realize her self-worth. My first and definitely not my last Lind book. Standalone. HEA.
This is the second book in the Lyrics and Love series by Samantha Lind and it can be read as a standalone. I have to say that this is by far my favorite book. Nick is so sweet and gentle. Ashley is someone that needs a man with a heart. Nick slowly shows her that no matter what there are good people out there. I loved every word and wanted more. I really love how the author makes a song come alive with a story to match. I highly recommend this author and book. You really should read Marry Me the first book in the series as those characters show up in this book.
Another hit with Drunk Girl! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
The story that goes to the song is one you will not want to put down. Ashley is lost when she losses her job and her boyfriend and drinks with her girlfriends! The Bartender…..Nick comes in to the rescue and make sure she gets home ok….can you say gentleman and swoon worthy. Can the bartender find the girl? Can Ashley find someone who she is worthy of having after all her trials? You will not want to put this down!!!!
I loved this one. There was just something about this one that you just easily fell in love with. Ash is in Nick’s bar having a very bad night. She had just lost her job and found out her boyfriend was cheating on her. Nick being the gentlemen that he is puts her in a Uber and makes sure that she gets home. Sometime later she comes back into his bar with some of her friends and gets a little tipsy again. This time she stays and have takes her home. Again he is the gentlemen he takes her own puts her to bed leaves her a note with her keys and leaves. Things escalate from there. There is something between these two and they both want to find out what it is. They easily chemistry and get along with each other. I absolutely loved Ash and Nick together. I loved this cute storyline and how it just easily flowed from page to page. Samantha writes amazing books and this one is prove of that. Highly recommend this one. A guaranteed top 10 of mine for 2019.
Ashley had always hoped for more but was content with her life, until that day. That day that was both awful and good. When her life explodes and she has nothing left, all it takes is the sympathetic kindness of a stranger. This well written story has all of the elements this author is great at expounding off of. This is a beautiful story of love and acceptance and one full of the chance to have hope. These two are good for each other and the author makes sure we know it. It’s an emotional tale that’s not just about starting over, it’s about learning to love yourself and having a healthy, supportive, respectful and sensual life that defies the odds. Great story.
Such a sweet romantic love story. This story was so easy to read and was very enjoyable. The characters were amazing and likeable. The story flowed brilliantly and kept me interested. I loved it so much.
Very sweet story built around a song, and Samantha wrote it perfectly! 5 drunk stars for this one!
Meet Ashley, she’s had a tough life struggling pretty much most of it with her single mom raising her. If it weren’t for her best friend, she’d have nothing. After a bad night, she meet’s her friends at the bar, they drink..when everyone leaves to go home, Ashley sticks around, not looking forward to going home and her phone is damn near dead. Cue in Nick, owner and bartender who see’s her sitting there alone, offers her some food, and help charging her phone so she can uber home. When she comes to his bar again, he remembers her, and ends up giving her a ride home later. After that, it’s a sweet story, as sweet as they come. Nick is one in a million, and when these two connect, watch out!

I absolutely loved this book and the concept behind writing it. Samantha Lind is an excellent writer and this book proves it, she can do no wrong in my opinion. Nick and Ashley are fantastic characters, that have instant and amazing chemistry. Ashley has had a hard life but she never gives up even though circumstances throughout her life would be reason enough for her to do so. If you haven’t started this series, what are you waiting for??
I received an arc for an honest review.
Ashley never allowed her past to affect her dreams for the future. Even though she had a difficult childhood, her Mother was always there for her and loved her unconditionally. Ashley weathered the storm that surrounded her during a very personal incident while she was in college, which made her even stronger and ready to take on anything. We never know what will happen in the light of a new day, but at least when Ashley was feeling at the end of her rope, Nick was there to rescue her and become her hero.
Nick owns a popular bar in Nashville with his brother, and one night while he was tending bar, he noticed a beautiful young woman who looked sad and lonely. He went to see if he could help her and to find out if she had a ride home. It wasn’t until she came in the bar a few nights later that he realized she was something special and that he desperately wanted to get to know her. Nick was never one to sit back and wait for things to happen so he made sure Ashley felt comfortable with him as he showed her how much she means to him. He sensed Ashley had secrets that she kept locked away deep inside, and he hoped that someday she would open her heart to him so he could love her like she deserved. You never know when your soulmate will come into your life, but when she does, you know luck was on your side.
“It’s too good to be true, nothing better than you in my wildest dreams.” – Thomas Rhett
Nick and Ashley have a connection so strong that they start strong and stay strong, and find their happy ending. They found each other when neither was looking for a significant other. I found them cute together.Their camaraderie made me laugh at times. These two were also hot together. I really enjoyed Nick and Ashley’s story. They just got each other so much and had each other’s back, that you rooted for them to get their HEA. This was a quick, lighter read and I read it in one sitting because I could not put it down.
