What a wonderful/book series; I really enjoy historical fiction.
This is another novel in Ms. Gabaldon’s Outlander series. It could be a stand-alone read, but it is better when you have read the preceding novels and know more about the characters. It’s a can’t-put-it-down tome of intricate plot lines. Appreciate the broad vocabulary and perfectly-chosen wording.
Claire and Jamie have the most amazing relationship. She steps through standing stones and ends up 200 years in the past where she meets the loyal, honest, and strong Jamie who saves her, then she saves him. Strong, complicated, emotional, and true representation of love.
It’s Jamie and Claire, one need say no more!
The book pulled me into another time and another place. Loved the characters.
Like a lot of her books, it starts a little slower, but once you’re into in you can’t put it down!
I like the whole series
The Outlander series is WONDERFUL! You are in the world of Diana Gabaldon, and very happy to be there! It has characters that you care about and you cannot read these books fast enough, and yet you want to savor each word. I am trying to be patient and wait for Tell the Bees!
Great writing and storyline. Keeps one coming back for more…
Diana Gabaldon’s entire “Outlander” series of books is FANTASTIC. Gabaldon ranks among the best authors writing today. “The Drums of Autumn”, like all of the books in the series, is superbly written, filled with unforgettable and compelling characters, and a plot/story line that keeps you glued to the book. It is impossible to put down until …
