I’m not a good person. I don’t cheat or steal, but I do lie a little bit… and participate in the occasional murder… spree. I mean, I’m not the worst kind of person – it’s mostly justified – I’m far from an Angel though. I love my jobs, most days. My best friend is amazing, except for when he’s not. I’m finally well past my first real heartbreak, and I’m happy being single. Life is looking … good from my ebony tower.
That gets turned upside down when I’m asked to step in and halt the progress of a black market, magic tainted drug. That one little business adventure opens up what I’m sure is Pandora’s box for me. My life goes from boring and routine to that feeling of “is this really my f*****g life right now?”
Now I have mates. Emphasis on the ssss part. Yeah, a few of them. I want to be mad about it, really I do… but they’re so hot, and the temptation to make them all mine is fueling my desire. That is, until they tell me who my last mate is. I’m not so happy about that.
Life just keeps getting better when I find out someone is stalking me. Having several someones at my back makes a world of difference.
Don’t get me twisted though… I’m Sloane f*****g King, and I’m no damsel in distress.

Wow! Druid Dreams is packed with everything I love about an Urban Fantasy/Paranormal RH novel. It is overflowing with sexy, badass characters and a storyline that will suck you in and keep you guessing. Sloane King is the ultimate heroine and such a strong, interesting character. I love all the Male leads, as well, and can’t wait to read more about all of them in Book #2. M.F. Adele is a new to me author, but I find I’m kicking myself because I hadn’t discovered her books before now. If you love entertaining, full bodied, action-packed, funny books that also happen to be Reverse Harem and Fantasy, then this book will be your jam! 5 Fantastic Stars!
Let me start by saying this book is very well written! I did not find issues with typos or horrible grammar.
I think this is a great start to a new series, however I wish the guys had been introduced maybe a bit slower. Instalove isn’t really my thing. It also doesn’t help that all the guys were immediately introduced and I couldn’t remember what species they were, heck I couldn’t even remember some of their names.
I think the story will play out well though and I am excited for book 2.
Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.
This book was savage and I loved it! Druid Dreams was pretty much everything I could have asked for in a paranormal reverse harem, it was dark, action-packed, funny (in a good way), full of supernaturals and hot fated mates, with a female coming into power and mystery that surrounds them all.
Sloane is the badass female character that takes charge and doesn’t accept bullshit. She is confident, smart, caring, stubborn, is a fighter, a little bit crazy and is the biggest badest supernatural to ever exist. She is close to her parents, runs several businesses for her family but she is a little closed off due to her past. I love her and her sense of humor, Sloane was a very easy character for me to like, especially with the sassy relationship she has with her best friend Jack. Jack and Sloane are a perfect pairing, I love their relationship and the fact they are so close and open with each other and I am so glad that when the guys came Jack’s part in the story didn’t get diminished, he still has a role in the story.
The story is told from multiple povs, Sloane has her parts but so do her mates. We get to hear from each of the guys and I love that, I get to know the guys better that way and get a better feeling of a story with their perspectives. The mating mythology is different in this story, in this the mating call doesn’t mean you have to answer or even that you will it just draws you closer to that person, it’s then up to them to make stronger connections. These guys have serious issues and they have to work at a relationship with Sloane just as much as she has to learn to let them in. Out of all the guys Novack is my favorite, he knows what he wants and puts in a little more effort without the resistance the other guys have. He is also the most communitive and playful as well, he lightens things for Sloane and gives her a peaceful acceptance the others seem reluctant on. As for the rest of the guys I liked them and can’t wait to see these relationships develop.
I laughed my way through this entire book and in my opinion that is an excellent thing. It wasn’t goofy but it was funny and made me smile and laugh out loud. I finished this book in one day, I couldn’t put it down, I was fully developed in the story and I didn’t want it to end. I have so many questions though, her mother, the guys family, the big bad who is starting shit and few other things are at the top of my list fo answeres. Adele has a hit on her hands with the Druid Dreams and I can’t wait for the rest of the series to be published, I am counting down the days until I will be able to read Vampire Visions, the next book in the Chronicles of Sloane King.
I couldn’t decide between 3 and 4 stars but I went with 4 as the book is really well written. My own dilemma is that so much information was thrown at me during the book that I struggled to keep up. It’s probably just me, but I can’t keep track of everything if its thrown at me too fast and not drip fed.
All the guys are introduced at pretty much the same time, and at first I had to keep going back to remind myself what species everyone was.
This book is non stop from beginning to end, there are no slow bits at all, lots of action. There is also a lot of information about all the different worlds and what is going on with each character, you get to know them all.
Sloane is a hybrid and has had all the training needed to look after herself, she is the definite leader of the group and doesn’t need any of the guys to help protect her. She knows what she wants and she goes after it, I loved her witty comebacks. He best friend Jack is also a great character for her to bounce off.
All the guys are already friends and knew they had a mate but didn’t know they’d be sharing the same one.
Book 2 should be interesting after the little cliffhanger.
I LOVED this book so hard. You get a kickass FMC full of snark and confidence, in a book that’s action packed and full of some wicked humor. I want mates like Sloane has. I most certainly cannot wait for the next book in this series. June is so far away. Oh, well, gives me something to definitely look forward to.
Capturing you right off the bat. So much happens in this book. You quickly get sucked in to the messy lives of Sloan King. She knows how to deal with trouble as it comes at her. Will she be able to save the Druid before it’s over?
