Working at a women’s magazine definitely has its perks, including a free vacation to the Bahamas. The catch? I have to help my best friend, Gem, host a singles cruise that uses your zodiac sign to match you with your soulmate.Ya know, if you drink the Kool-Aid.I find the whole thing amusing until she starts to set me up with every Aquarius, Cancer, and Virgo on the boat. Then I meet Gage. A Leo. …
Then I meet Gage. A Leo.
He’s the exact opposite of my ideal match by zodiac standards, and is the perfect solution to get Gem off my back.
Then the stars align, and I find myself drowning in love whether I want to or not.
But I guess that’s what I deserve for tempting fate.
If only he felt the same way.

If you love a fun, sweet romance than Drowning in Love is a perfect choice for you. Gage asks Nora to marry him at their first meeting and the rest is history with just a slight detour first.
This is a quick, easy read with an enjoyable storyline and two characters that you can’t help but fall for.
Drowning in Love was a fun read. Another zodiac based story in the Written in the Stars series which like the others proved to be a light, sweet story. I liked both Gage and Nora and their interactions. They were so good together from the beginning. What a great meet-cute! In some real small world coincidence, the two end up on the same cruise and the initial off the charts chemistry just keeps building. I cared immensely that they should find their happily ever after.
I really enjoyed the story!
I loved Gage and Nora’s story. This book pulled me in from the very first page. I love a good meet-cute and Nora and Gage’s was swoon worthy. From a fake proposal to a singles cruise this was a very entertaining book. I’m loving this series and the concept of Written In The Stars. I can’t wait for the next book.
Drowning in Love!
This is Book 6 in the Written in the Stars series, and personally, I felt this book was much better than the others I’d read. Although it seemed to be another book about young adults going on a cruise, and looking for hookups, it’s not at all what I was worried it would be. This was a book about a couple who really weren’t into astrology, meeting randomly twice and realizing it’s better to spend time together than deal with the typical young adult meat-market cruise.
Nora works at a woman’s magazine and she and her best friend Gem, are on the cruise to manage the events, presumably to help young singles find their soul-mate. Gage joined his work friends at a discounted rate cruise, hoping for a chance to chill for a bit. When he sees Nora (this is his second encounter), the two agree to pretend to be a couple to get their friends to leave them alone. But pretence becomes reality as the two take a number of pairs/couples events together designed to help them learn more about their other half, and to get closer.
I really enjoyed this book from the original meet-cute, to the second meet-cute, to the pretend relationship. I enjoy Kelsey Rae’s journey of discovery to HEA without too much extraneous side situations to distract from the main couple. Would really like to read Gem’s story in the future! I think she deserves her own HEA (hopefully not to expected given her dependence on astrology signs and their compatibility!)
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Drowning in Love is a very cute tale. Nora and Gage have an adorable meet cute/misunderstanding. Nora and Gage are fun characters that are relatablely neurotic. Kelsie Rae is a master at creating deep characters and relatable situations. My only problem with Drowning in Love was that eveything moved too fast, though that is to be expected in a short story. I love the tie in to her Signature Sweethearts series, too. Overall, definitely will tell everyone i know to check out Drowning in Love!
4.4 stars
This is the sixth book in the Written in the Stars series and it is a cute read. It’s true what they say about finding love when you least expect it as Nora and Gage meet at a football game where he drunk proposes to her and then leaves her high and dry. Fast forward a few weeks, and the two once again are together on a singles cruise where Nora is one of the coordinators. The attraction between them cannot be denied and they make an agreement to satisfy not having to be thrown into the pool of singles looking for a soulmate. Can these two opposing zodiac signs make things work? Are these two willing to do the work necessary to have a real relationship? This is one quick read that will make you a believer. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.
OMG this story is so super cute that I couldn’t help but smile with each chapter. Gabe and Nora or so truly meant to be together, opposites or not and I loved every part of their journey, especially the skepticism at first from Nora. How could she not though, a boat cruise for singles that match you up based on your zodiac sign, lol. Love it!!!!! This story has so many good feels and so many wonderful characters!! You cannot help but get hooked. the Whole Written in Stars books have all been exceptional books that are quick and easy to read but leave you smiling after each one. Definitely recommend!!!
This story is sweet and beautiful and perfect in every way. It is the sixth book in the Written in the Stars series, however, it can be read as a standalone.
Book 6 in the Written in the Stars series and it was a great addition. First book that I have read from Kelsie Rae and I loved it. I was pulled in from the first chapter and it didn’t let me go until the very last page. Gage and Nora were such a great couple. They have the best meet cute but due to a misunderstanding, they don’t get to see where it can go. They meet again while on a singles cruise that her company is running. Loved the chemistry between them. Great read and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
I read an early review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Holy cannolis! The stars sure did align and brought a total eclipse of the heart. Ok, enough with the star chatter. . . But it’s so hard to do when a book like this just goes shooting straight to the heart!
The humor, the pent up passion and desire, the avoidance of feeling . . . Made this a perfect read! Emotional but not overly that you need a box of Kleenex, unless you’re a Cancer. The characters, Nora and Gage, were perfectly imperfect and yet still want something real and completely worth the hurdles that face them. Does Nora and Gage take the plunge or keep treading water?
Only you can find out what drowning in love ends like. So take a chance. . . No life preserver needed . . .
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book.
This is my sixth Written in the Stars story and I am still loving everything about this series PLUS I can add yet another new to me author to my like list! Yay To be fair, this is actually the second book by this author that I have read but I read them both back to back so I can still say this read falls under new to me … but I digress LOL
Drowning in Love has just about the best meet-cute of all time! From there the story was just fun for me! I loved the cruise idea because it allowed them to get from point A (meet) to point B (HEA) in a believable way. Close proximity tropes allow for relationships to blossom and grow quite quickly without the feeling of insta to them. I like that a lot! I liked everything abut this story. I liked how it unfolded and how they grew into a relationship and it was beautifully written. #win
This is my first book by author Kelsie Rae, but after reading this fun and sweet story it will not be my last. And I even know where to start, the Signature Sweethearts series.
Nora and Gage’s story made me all giddy and happy. It got a lot of lol moments.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book.

The story has one of the cutest openings this reader has encountered in quite a while! A misunderstanding follows, but is straightened out shortly into the story. Nora and her friends and coworkers are planning a Star-themed Zodiac cruise, and they need more men to attend. As a result, they make this really cool offer in a men’s magazine, and Gage and some of his friends decide to take the cruise. They don’t really have a clue what they’re getting into, but they’re game for beaches and bikinis! Gage and Dora had met a few weeks earlier during that wonderful opening scene mentioned previously. They both end up on the cruise. Dora has a leadership role, while Gage just gets to enjoy the trip.
They spend some time getting to know each other, and are thrown into a couple of uncomfortable situations but somehow they make the best of it. They actually learn from each other, and learn to trust each other at the same time. This is a really fun book to read, and is a perfect summer book!
Kelsie Rae has proved again why she is one of my favorite authors! I loved it! Such a cute story, with what is now my favorite meet cute of all time!!! Gage and Nora were a great couple, and bonus points for tying this story into her Signature Sweethearts series.
We read about Nora, talking to Owen about something at the beginning. Who are Owen and Grady? What happens when they leave after a minor tiff? How do they know one another? What is being discussed? While Owen and Grady are gone, what happens? Who is Saylor? Where are they during the discussion? We get to meet some interesting characters in Gem, Ben, Connor, Justin, and Gage. Who are they? How does everyone know one another? Some relationships come out that really make this book funny in reading. This story was fun and made me want to find a singles cruise for myself based on astrology. It was ‘HAWT!!!’
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin’ With M. Brennan.
I don’t know much about the Written in the Stars Series, but I am an avid Kelsie fan so of course I wanted to read it!! I wasn’t sure what to expect going in but Kelsie didn’t disappoint! It was light, sweet and made me laugh out loud!
Nora was getting ready to go on a cruise. The catch, help her best friend host a singles cruise revolving around zodiac signs. Not exactly her cup of tea, but it was a free trip…
Gage was talked into going on the cruise without knowing what he was getting himself into. Luckily for him he met Nora, but was their love written in the stars? Would he be able to convince her to see where it goes?
I’m not huge into astrology but Kelsie did an amazing job! It was light on the astrology and heavy on love! Their love may have been fast, but it was true! I loved watching them pave their own way!
This is a new author to me and I really liked the story, characters and chemistry of the story. Gage and Nora are cute and just trying to live their lives not realizing what they want in life. I loved the cruise ship story and this will be a new author that I will look for other reads. Plus this series if stories has already had two out of two stories I loved. I will be reading the others and it’s nice not having to read others stories to know what’s Going on. Kelsie Rae has left me wanting more.
I really loved how this book started with its meet cute! I loved Gage. And i was so happy to see him end up at the cruise that Nora was working for her women’s magazine. I honestly loved the addition to the series already. Can i just say i need Gem and connor to get a story something haha. I cant wait for more Written in the stars books!
This was my first time reading Kelsie Rae and I adored this story! Love the Zodiac spin with the Written in the Stars books. I chose to read Drowning in Love because of it’s release in June and it being about Cancers as that’s me! Nora and Gage’s story was an easy read that felt organic and heartfelt. I was surprised in the best way how deep Kelsie went with them. I got emotional at the same times that Nora did, because remember, we are both Cancers. Gage took me a minute but then I was all in with him. Definitely sexy! Great book.
What a short quick read. Absolutely fell in love with Gage. Nora I enjoyed but felt she could have given in more. The first proposal was such a great one. I loved the storyline in this one. I just kept reading and reading and couldn’t stop. Fun read!
I voluntarily read this as an advanced readers copy.
