Natalie Berensen has one short summer to ace her writing class and convince her parents she’s not a hopeless screw-up. No more changing her major once a month, taking time off to travel, or random friends-with-benefits. She doesn’t have time for distractions or hook-ups, not even if her longtime crush is in town for the summer and living in her basement. Who cares if he’s a snowboarding god with … with six pack abs and a hashtag devoted to his apparently magical penis? She’s not interested.
Until she is.
Ben Easton’s focus and self-discipline is legendary. He’s built a career as a professional snowboarder by training harder than anyone else on the mountain and steering clear of anything that doesn’t take him one step closer to his goal: Olympic gold. Then his best friend crashes in the half-pipe and Ben drops everything to take care of him. No more training. No more competitions. No more snowboarding. It’s over.
He’s back in Boulder to help with Adam’s rehab, not fool around with his little sister’s best friend, no matter how much he loves her laugh or the way her ass looks when she walks up the stairs. There’s no way in hell he’s going anywhere near Natalie.
Until he does.
Contains: a grumpy guard cat with a taste for blood, discussions of Ents as phallic symbols, and plenty of sexy times.

4.5 Stars for Dropping In
This is the first book in the new Snow -Crossed Lovers Series and what a great start it is, I was so looking forward to this book after reading Bailing Out and I was not disappointed.
Natalie has never taken life seriously, she has never found anything to make her settle but her parents are now giving her ultimatums , she must finish her writing degree or she will take a degree in business studies. Ben is her best friends brother and he is home to help his best friend Adam recuperate after a terrible snow boarding accident the last thing either of them need is a relationship but sometimes our hearts rule rather than our minds…….
This book has a lot going for it, great characters, sizzling chemistry, romance and some laugh out loud moments and it’s left me looking forward to book 2 in this series. Great job Carrie Quest
~4.5 STARS~
Dropping In is a sexy romance by Carrie Quest. Natalie has always been a girl who doesn’t take life too seriously until something happens that makes her change her mind. She has decided to be the daughter her parents expect her to, but yet something is missing, some important part of her. She has found that piece of her in writing. As you can imagine, her parents are not very happy, but she is bound and determined to prove them wrong, acing her summer writing class. She has no time for distractions, but her BFF’s brother’s, Ben, returning home will test her resolve. Ben, himself, has no time for distractions either. He is home to help his best friend, Adam, recuperate after a horrible accident on the half-pipe during a snowboarding practice run. The sexual tension crackles between these two, so we’ll see how long they can keep their hands off one another.
I will be honest, I wasn’t sure how much I was going to like Natalie in the beginning. She seemed immature, never sticking to anything, partying, and moving from one man to the next, but never developing a relationship. By the middle of the book and definitely at the end, I really liked her. She did an enormous amount of growing and maturing. I even began to understand why she behaved like she did. Her older sister seemed to do everything right, always earning praise from their parents. Natalie felt like she could never measure up, so she quit trying. After a frightening experience, she realizes she needs to take life more seriously. But, she does it in a way she thinks her parents would approve of, not for her. I felt sorry for her in that sense, so when she found a passion for writing, I was happy that she pursued it.
Ben was the complete opposite of Natalie, always laser-focused on his career as a professional snowboarder, but seeing his best friend involved in such a horrible has rocked his vey foundation. He is ready to leave everything he worked for behind. I loved his personality from the beginning. He had a way of lighting a room up.
The romance was both sexy and sweet. However, at times, it was pretty serious. These are two people who have never been in a relationship before, but for different reasons. Ben is always busy, and he has no time. Natalie just never wanted one, until Ben, so this is new territory for both of them. They will have to work hard to discover what works best for them, yet allows them to keep their dreams alive.
I loved the secondary characters. Quest was brilliant as she developed the characters of Adam and Piper. They have a past, and she did an awesome job of getting her readers ready for their book. I LOVED Chuckles, the cat, and Thor, the dog! I am an animal lover, so I always love when a writer makes them characters in their own right!
This is a solid, enjoyable, romantic, and sexy beginning to a series I look forward to continuing. I can’t wait to read Piper and Adam’s story next. I think they have quite a lot to tell us!
