Wow. Just on its own this book is a next level romcom. It’s storyline is completely unique and has amazing characters. Being Austen inspired just boosts it that much more. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I was gifted a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Driving Miss Darcy is a sweet, funny, and delightful romantic comedy. I truly reading about the characters Georgia and Wyatt. They are wonderful characters. Its a wonderful well written story. I loved the storyline. I look forward to reading more stories by this author.
I read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are of my own.
This is my first Gigi Blume book and I love her funny, tongue-in-cheek style. What could have been a boring road trip turns into laughs and zingers as the romance unfolds. She has created two delightful characters and I was entertained from start to finish. A sweet, clean romance that was, at the same time, a page-turner!
Hope everyone had a wounderful Christmas and Happy Holidays!
A recent read that I finished on the 25th was driving Miss Darcy by @gigiblume .I love books that are based in the Jane Austen world or novels! This series Backstage Romance has a total of 4 books so far, and was told you can read them in any order.

Adorable. Funny. Sweet. Original. Driving Miss Darcy is all of those adjectives and so much more. The characters are so cute. I love all the banter…literally, I was giggling while my husband watched ball games. This book is a fun, easy, and relaxing read.
What a cute, funny, romantic comedy. It was funny how Georgia and Dog Man aka Wyatt kept bumping into each other on their way to Los Angeles from New York City via Chicago and a few more places due to a snow storm. I laughed and enjoyed all of the bad things that seemed to happen to Wyatt. He just had a string of bad luck that unfortunately kept involving Georgia too. I enjoyed how their road trip, due to the snow storm finally ended and Georgia made it to Pemberley and her brother’s wedding. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
I loved this book! The characters were perfect for the storyline! I loved Georgia and Wyatt! I had some good chuckles with just the right amount of romance! A definite must add to your TBR list!
This is an adorable Christmas read! The interaction between Georgia and Wyatt was witty and I found myself laughing out loud. Let’s not forget Reeses, the Jack Russell……. Adorable.
I received this as an ARC and am leaving an honest review.
This is a fun story. Gigi Blume always has fun and interesting characters. Above being worried about his “baby” sister, I have to wonder what was going thru Will’s mind with all the strange conversations with Wyatt throughout the trip. I enjoyed this unexpected adventure by Georgia and Wyatt.
I just loved reading Driving Miss Darcy. In fact, I could not put it down and had to postpone sending out my Christmas cards another day! This well written, sweet, funny, amazing romance grabbed me on page one. The characters, Georgia, Wyatt and Reeses are extremely well portrayed. I am in awe of Ms. Blume’s imagination. How did she think of all these strange things to happen to our couple? This is the best in escapist fiction!
John-Candy-type shenanigans meet Hallmark sweetness.
With all the things going wrong on their cross-coutry trip, Wyatt and Georgia’s story at times reminded me of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, while at the same time it had a very sweet, Christmas-sy Hallmark vibe.
The story is a fun and quick read, I enjoyed spending a little time with Wyatt and Georgia, though Reeses stole the show.
What a witty, wonderful Christmas story featuring characters that you would love to know in real life! There was lots of clean humor, an adorable and mischievous dog, a smart, kind young woman and a handsome man whose luck could be compared to Charlie Brown. They were stranded at an airport at Christmastime and wind up as an unlikely trio sharing a car in an effort to get to their destinations in California. I’ve enjoyed this book so much that now I need to read books 1 and 2 in this series. Highly recommend!
I loved this story so much that I was so sad when I read the last page. At least there was an epilogue to help me out, lol! The epilogue perfectly wrapped up the story and was sweet. I stayed up way to past my bedtime to get as much reading in as I could. Gigi Blume was able to get this reader to connect with the couple. I loved Georgia and Wyatt and was rooting for them the whole time. This story had a fabulous blend of wit, dry humor and sarcasm. A triple threat! Oh, yes the romance was just right. I found myself going between laughing and thinking “awww” and just smiling the whole time. Great interactions with the h & H. Great dialogue. Great side characters that helped round the story out and help it progress nicely. Great ending. I thought the way the the couples conflict as well as the ending was satisfying. The1st kissing scene that I thought was the correct blend of sweet and swoony and not overshare. I also really enjoyed reading the 1st in this series Love and Loathing but I think this is my new favorite.
This is a fabulous contemporary romantic comedy. A comedy of errors, really… Fast-paced, snarky, and fun! It is part of a series, so best read in order to avoid confusion about characters. I highly recommend this book.
This is an absolutely delightful story. I’m not going to rehash the blurb you already have no doubt read. Except to tell you that whatever you have read or heard about this book could not possibly have done it justice. Yes, I really did like it that much! I give it 7 STARS.
The storyline is original and fun. Sure, it has a bit of angst, but it also has lots of laughter. And best of all this book is filled with love. I’m a fan of Gigi Blume. This book only enhanced that fact.
