“Edgy, steamy, action packed, and plotted with nail-biting tension…”–Library Journal, Starred ReviewIn the harsh Northern Waste where human life is worth little, ice trucker Raina Bowen has learned to keep her eyes open and her knife close at hand. She’s spent her life on the run, one step ahead of the megalomaniac who hunts her. All she wants is to stay out of trouble and haul her load of … load of grain to Gladow Station—but trouble finds her in the form of a sexy stranger called Wizard. He has the trucking pass she needs, and she has to drag him out of a brawl with the very people she’s trying to hide from in order to get it.
She may have rescued him, but Raina’s not foolish enough to see Wizard as anything close to helpless. He’s hard and honed and full of secrets—secrets that may destroy them both. As they race across the Waste, trying to outrun rival truckers, ice pirates, and the powerful man bent on their destruction, Raina’s forced to admit that trouble’s found her. And this time, there’s nowhere left to run.

Interesting dystopian future
Kept me up way too late a couple of nights.
I guess it was a romance, but it was also an apocalyptic adventure. There were characters to care about, and it left things such that I want to see the second of what will be at least a trilogy.
Suprised me..it was a great read
Characters were not true to their abilities,
Mad Max meets Ice Truckers:
Violence filled dystopian novel. Lots of action and unexpected turns.
Did not like the very explicit sex scenes (some things are better left to
the reader’s imagination). It held my interest, but I won’t be reading any of
the other books in the series.
It’s in original , like half the WiFi book that exist have the same plot line
Not my usual read, but it was really a surprise. A good surprise. I really liked it.
This was by far, one of the best stories I’ve read this year. It’s like nothing I’ve ever read before. Loved it! I’ve already bought the next book in this series.
I enjoyed this book, the author has some skill. I enjoyed the world she created. I thought some parts were repetitive, but I hung on until the end.
I liked the way the story started; action and strong female protagonist. If romance is your thing there are some good romantic scenes. For me the story began to fall short after the middle with few surprises. I loved the detail in describing the area and the transportation; I felt like I was there.
Seemed like a romance novel with a little bit of action. Not the kind of book I like.
A very good read, i played out the story in my mind. It was hard not to read front to back once i began.
I liked the plot and it kept the flow. some was a bit vague but plot kept it going the end left you hanging
The book is a good read, if you don’t mind more than necessary, long sex “scenes”.
good story, unusual, well written, perhaps a bit too much repetitive inner dialogue, but I was glad to have read it.
A futuristic book – I don’t usually care for them – different than the ones I have read. Based in the frozen north and I like the main character don’t like the cold. Totally different plot that most post-apocalyptic books-very entertaining with a few unexpected twists
Liked the setting–different from the usual. Good characters.
Good read. Well written with a realistic portrayal of a dystopic future. Add a little sexual tension and you get a book that is hard to put down.
Highly unusual and interesting characters, with good explanations as to why they are the way they are. Interesting and unusual environment and unique storyline. What more could you ask in a book?
