“Edgy, steamy, action packed, and plotted with nail-biting tension…”–Library Journal, Starred ReviewIn the harsh Northern Waste where human life is worth little, ice trucker Raina Bowen has learned to keep her eyes open and her knife close at hand. She’s spent her life on the run, one step ahead of the megalomaniac who hunts her. All she wants is to stay out of trouble and haul her load of … load of grain to Gladow Station—but trouble finds her in the form of a sexy stranger called Wizard. He has the trucking pass she needs, and she has to drag him out of a brawl with the very people she’s trying to hide from in order to get it.
She may have rescued him, but Raina’s not foolish enough to see Wizard as anything close to helpless. He’s hard and honed and full of secrets—secrets that may destroy them both. As they race across the Waste, trying to outrun rival truckers, ice pirates, and the powerful man bent on their destruction, Raina’s forced to admit that trouble’s found her. And this time, there’s nowhere left to run.

DRIVEN is an action-filled futuristic dystopian adventure with elements of Mad Max, Ice Truckers, and The Witcher, combined in an unpredictable page turner.
Raina Bowen is a character not unlike Mercy Thompson in the Patricia Briggs books in that she is self-sufficient, fearless, and capable of feats even she hasn’t fathomed yet. From the …
5 Stars. Gripping. Brutal setting. Life or death. Basic Survival.
(1= dnf/What was that?; 2= Nope, not for me; 3= Yes, it was Ok; 4= I LIKED IT A LOT! 5= A favorite, IT WAS GREAT!!)
DRIVEN: A NORTHERN WASTE Dystopian novel by Eve Silver. I live in a frozen tundra, not dissimilar to the Northern Waste, 5-6mos of the year. There are wicked ways …
Read the whole series and they were all excellent, I like action and suspense and a little romance is okay so these books were great.
Eve Silver’s DRIVEN is one of my favorite science fiction romances of all time. It’s got great action, excellent characters, and a fantastic and satisfying romance. Oh, and I want some of the technology she invented in her post-apocalyptic world. It’s one of the very few books on my re-read shelf.
In a futuristic setting the main character Is a strong, independent woman on a risky but adventurous journey. Enjoyable reading. (Caution for young adults: small amount of graphicly written sex)
Fun, book … not a literary masterpiece but kept my attention.
Seemed it could be good but the main character is wishy-washy about her horniness for her companion…and it goes on and on and on and ON ad nauseum.
I just couldn’t get in this book.
Two characters willing to give everything to destroy an evil dictatorship are brought together I’m a rebellion that uncovers a past history that might drive them apart. Very fun read riddled with Romance, self truths, hidden strengths, and full of star wars like action.
As post apocalyptic stories go, this one is a winner!
Bearable.
Almost soft pornish but i liked the plot and the writing
An original. I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading more by Eve Silver.
A good book, interesting characters and plot.
I don’t often give up on a book I’ve started but this one got sillier and pornographic.
I really liked this book Set in a post apocolytptic future where the government is of no help or protection, I think the ice road trucking setting was pretty different. There is a lot of action, a couple bits of graphic sex but mostly it’s very detailed and sets up for the next novel. It’s never boring.
Fun read. Looked forward to the next chapter.
Interesting story of new characters in a new workd order. There is action but story mainly about emotional development of Raina Bowen and Wizard, the two main characters while they combat a common, evil personified enemy, Duncan Bane. Each character does a lot of introspection so they can understand themselves better, become freer, develop their …
