Kissing a complete stranger shouldn’t be a life altering experience, but with him it was. One look into his mischievous hazel eyes and our lips were colliding without a second thought. Now, months later, not only do I know his name, we’ve also become friends. Good friends. The kind of friends that kiss and cuddle together, all night long. The kind of friends that fantasize about being horizontal … horizontal or vertical…and very much naked.
I’d never been attracted to the football playing jocks, but Nick’s different. When he’s not being a professional flirt, he’s undeniably sweet and funny. For every excuse my mind comes up with to keep my distance, my body finds two reasons to give him a chance.
Can he make the final drive into my heart or will I keep him in the friend zone?
DRIVE is a full length standalone novel.

Absolutely enjoyed Drive, it all started with a kiss then months later Nick and Carter reconnect! This story was sweet, sexy with some heat and maybe a dip in the road at one stage! Awesome ending l was #Nickstracted as well! Excited for more Boston Terriers series!
Nick is my new favorite book boyfriend. He is funny and laid back. And I loved the cameos from Punched.
This book did not disappoint. We met Nick in Penalty and he was impossible not to like. Carter is getting over a break up with some boring dude and Nick is the perfect guy to help. With his charming personality and t-shirts he will always make you smile.
Worth the #nickstraction!!
An easy, light fun read! Carter and Nick will keep you laughing out loud!
I love how Jacob Chance writes about young college love, without it being overly sappy.
This was one of my favorite books this year. I loved everything about it and don’t have one single complaint. The writing flowed smoothly with obvious written talent. A pleasurable read for sure!
Nick and Carter…..
We met Nick in Penalty which was Harlow and Brady’s story. In addition to there, he graces us with his presence once again in Punched, which is Noah and Reagan’s book. I loved those books as well. Although I found quite a bit of humor in Penalty, Drive knocks it out of the park. There were several times while I was reading when a family member would ask me why I was smiling or what was so funny when I laughed aloud. I really enjoyed this book and was disappointed when it was over. The pace was so steady and often fast that I breezed through it too quickly.
Nick was amazing! He is definitely a book boyfriend. He was so easy to fall in love with. His traits as a character were sweet, endearing, humorous, protective, sincere, and oh so damn sexy! The list goes on. One of my favorite aspects was how his tough side was just as strong as his romantic side. Yes, Nick O’Shea is definitely swoon worthy.
Carter was great too. She had some baggage in which caused her hesitancy to give Nick a chance and I understood that. But Nick was persistent and finally knocked down her walls.
That said, while this book had its intense moments, I did not find it too angsty at all. It was in fact a very enjoyable read. I love romantic comedy and this book goes on my list of favorites.
I want to mention the aspect of Nick’s character that truly endeared me to him. Nick was so romantic. He was so thoughtful and caring. A sexy beast! But Nick O’Shea was a true gentleman.
This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it.
I totally loved Nick and Carter’s love story. He was funny and entertaining to boot always trying to reach behind Carter’s frozen walls of self preservation. She had been burnt in the worse way and letting her heart love Nick wasn’t on the cards. Great chemistry throughout the book. A great follow on to go 1.
Ever since Nick shared an unexpected, smoldering kiss with Carter, he can’t stop thinking about her. Even though she’s a few years older & sister with his friend’s fiancée, he knows he has his work cut out for him but won’t give up to try & spend more time with her.
Straight-laced Carter has been betrayed by her fiancé & ex-friend, so she’s hesitant to fall for Nick’s joyful, carefree charms. Not only is he younger, but he’s the complete opposite of everything she knows. When Nick starts breaking her out of her shell, will she be brave enough to tell him she’s fallen for him? Or will she be blinded by her insecurities?
Loved reading Nick’s story! There’s also appearances from the other Boston Terrier boys (old & new), along with Brady & Harlow. Looking forward to Zeke’s book!
I loved everything about Drive by Jacob Chance. I was engaged and captivated from the very beginning to the very end. The writing was impeccable with plenty of entertainment value, the story was sexy, full of humour and an all round feel good aura. I loved the banter and sexual chemistry between Nick and Carter. Nick was an absolute sweetheart, hysterical, a true romantic at heart and totally swoon. I especially loved the epilogue. It was perfect and it left me with a big smile on my face.
This was reading escapism at it’s very best. There are food references and a song that stayed stuck in my head long after reading Drive. The witty dialogue and banter between the two characters was flawlessly written, and at many times, hilarious. Drive also features some of my favourite characters from Punched and Penalty, which I appreciated. The attraction between the two was a slow burn which emphasised on the getting to know each other and building a friendship mixed with sexual tension. The steamy moments were inevitable, however it made it special to have more of a story and character development because the chemistry just oozed from the pages.
This delightful Rom-Com has the perfect amount of laughs, love and steam. Drive is definitely a five star read. I feel like I always say this, but Jacob Chance yet again has written a beautiful and charming story. His story telling is absolute genius. If that wasn’t good enough, Nick’s love of hilarious and outrageous tees, chicken nuggets and pizza send it completely over the top. Drive will unquestionably leave you #Nickstracted!
This book did not disappoint as you meet Carter a broken-hearted soul who lost two years of her life engaged to a cheat and Nick a handsome running back who is a heartbreaker himself being sexy, rich athlete destine for the NFL. This is the story of how these two unlikely people heal each other. The author tells a wonderfully orchestrated story. Definitely a great read that will make you cheer, love, hate and laugh.
#Nickstracted
Drive is another fun, sexy read by Jacob Chance. Nick was a great character to read. Funny, sweet, and an all around good guy. Carter, is fresh off of a breakup and her insecurities have her doubting herself. Jacob writes this genre like no other. If you are looking for a fun, sexy, sports rom-com, check this series out!
3,5 stars
The writer Jacob Chance is totally new to me but after seeing the cover and reading the blurb of ‘Drive’, I was very curious about this story. I found ‘Drive’ an enjoyable and easy read.
Because I have never read a book of Jacob Chance before I didn’t know what to expect, so the beginning of the book had me (personally) a little confused because I expected an arrogant football player and not this charming, young guy who still was in college and who was much more than just a football player. I just had a totally other idea of the story in my head after reading the blurb and seeing the cover but it certainly wasn’t a bad thing because I liked the story very much.
Carter thought that she knew how her future looked like. She would marry her boyfriend and be his perfect political wife. Carter did everything she could to be Joseph’s perfect girlfriend so she’s very shocked when she discovered that he has cheated on her with a friend of hers.
So when she meets Nick for the first time, she’s still recovering from a bad breakup. She doesn’t know who he is and she doesn’t want to know his name. No, for once in many year she wants to be impulsive again and what is more impulsive than kissing a stranger? And what a kiss it is!
When she discovers later on that Nick is not only a few years youngers then her but he is also a good friend of her sister’s boyfriend, she decides to keep her distance but she didn’t counted on Nick’s stubbornness to get to know her!
After that one kiss they shared Nick can’t stop thinking about Carter. So he finds ways to get close to her. He even makes sure that she moves in the same apartment building where he lives. Slowly Carter is falling for Nick but Nick knows that he has to be careful because one wrong move will have her hiding from him. Can a guy that never had a relationship before convince a girl that was hurt by her ex-boyfriend that he’s the right guy for her? Only time can tell…
The story have us both POV’s, which I really liked. I liked Nick very much, he was a good guy who just hadn’t met the right girl until he met Carter. I liked his charming character, the way he was with Carter and the fact that he wasn’t this obsessed football player. Just like his friends, he was this young guy who was searching his way into life. Carter was also a character that I liked.
I loved the ending of the story. ‘Drive’ a sweet story, perfect if you just want to relax and read an easy light story. I will read more books of this writer in the future.
So many things I enjoyed about this book but I can’t tell you what they are because it would spoil the book. I can tell you my favorite David Lee Roth song is mentioned. I really liked the banter between the 2 main characters and I am glad I picked this book up.
I am undoubtedly #Nickstracted and wouldn’t want it any other way. Drive had me grinning within the first few paragraphs until the very last sentence, this is a great friends to lovers rom-com romance. Nick’s personality will have you swooning and laughing non stop, he’s the kind of man that knows what he wants and nothing will stand in his way with achieving his goal. When Carter decides to venture out of her comfort zone her life is forever changed and I couldn’t be happier for her. The way these characters are written I feel as though I could be right there hanging out with everyone at a party as well as sitting in the bleachers cheering on the team. I’ve read other books by this author and this is bar far one of my favorite ones yet. Phenomenal read that I cannot rave about enough, you must one click your copy. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
