Pearl:
The only thing I ever wanted in this life was to be an artist.
No matter how rough my childhood was, I knew tattooing would be my salvation.
Trying to succeed in my father’s shadow was too much for me to handle, so I took off for the city the first chance I got.
I didn’t realize until it was too late that there was a reason he wanted to hide me behind him.
Now he’s dead, the shop I … him.
Now he’s dead, the shop I grew up in is in shambles, and the only person who can save me from his past is Driller.
He says he’s going to claim me.
He wants to make me his.
But which would he rather keep? Me… or the secrets of the Dead Ringers MC.
Driller:
My club is in shambles.
My family is divided.
My brothers are growing restless, and I’m sick of the lies.
Dead Ringers born and bred, it’s my time to take matters into my own hands and get the MC back on track.
Pearl is a nice distraction.
I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe and avenge her father’s death.
To claim her as mine.
But will a man like me dull her shine?
Driller is a steamy standalone novel in the Dead Ringers MC world.

Wow, author Deja Voss did an outstanding job with Driller. You will find lots of secrets, mysteries, passion oh the passionthis is an amazing start to an even amazing series, well done.
I have never heard of this author before and this is my first book by the author, that being said.. I really liked this book, loved the story between Pearl and Driller. Despite being a MC book, it wasn’t over the top like most were. Absolutely lots of crazy, I think if some things weren’t so glossed over I would have given it 5 stars instead of the 4, regardless this was pretty good.

Okay but not what I was expecting
Driller is the first book in the Dead Ringers MC series. This is also the first book I have read by author Deja Voss. I was not sure what to expect when I picked this book up but the book description looked like it could be interesting and maybe would keep me on the edge of my seat and have my Kindle burning up. Unfortunately neither of those things materialized fully with this book. I actually had gotten this book several months ago and would read a bit and then put it aside for a while. I just kept doing that until I got to the ending. I am just going to say that the story-line and characters had really good potential but it just did not happen. Instead I was confused over and over again by characters being introduced, story-lines that went no where and are not resolved by the end and what I concluded was a book in need of a good editor who would keep things on target. This is an okay book but just not what I was expecting or hoping for.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Driller
Dead Ringers MC, Book 1
By: Deja Voss
Narrated by: Tanner De Bruyne
I love a good MC romance, and this second chance with Driller and Pearl is a great start to this series. It’s my first listen by Deja Voss and I enjoyed it! At a young age, Driller and Pearl were thrown together for her birthday. Things didn’t go as expected, and now years later, Pearl is back and Driller is enamored. Pearl has a lot to deal with, and he is there for her every step of the way. It’s fast, it’s hot, and it’s real love. But that is not the only thing in this story. There is a suspense thread that will keep you interested. Motorcycle clubs always have danger, and this one is no exception. I also loved how Voss worked in relevant issues like dementia into the story. It’s intriguing, full of twists and turns and lots of steam. Can’t wait to see where it goes next!
Tanner DeBruyne brings it all to life. It’s my first time hearing him narrate, and I loved him! He can navigate male and female voices with ease, has a good variety of voices that are easily distinguishable and has a great pace. I look forward to hearing more from him!

This is the first story I’ve listened to/read by this author. I was expecting more of a mc story but it really is more on the relationship between Driller and Pearl. I had a hard time getting into the book. Seems a lot of characters but emotion not that good. Before Driller knows much of anything about Pearl he “claims” her! There seems a lack of passion between them. The biggest problem I had was also the claiming. Normally people are possessive not into sharing if it’s the one. I’d probably be more into the story of how Pearl likes it when Driller is chosen to participate in another’s claiming. As for the narration, I feel Tanner De Bruyne did a great job. He did his best to bring the characters to life. I was given a free copy and this is my voluntary opinion.
Driller was my first book by this author and I love a good MC story so I was really excited for this one. Driller is book one in the Dead Ringers MC series and tells the story of Driller who is in the MC and is struggling with feeling like the MC is falling apart and wanting to make it better and fix it, but not really knowing how to go about making that happen given issues within his family. Pearl is also tied to the MC in a roundabout way through her father. Driller decides he is going to protect her and find out who killed her father. Their relationship is is one of insta-lust almost but their chemistry is definitely off the charts. I really liked how protective Driller was of Pearl and how he wanted to help her better herself and get back to a place where she was truly happy. I did struggle a bit with the “claiming” rite of passage aspect of the club as that whole thing just seemed truly bizarre, but otherwise the book was interesting, and I enjoyed the narration. I would definitely be interested in reading more from the author in the future.
I enjoy Mc and this one didn’t disappoint! Driller and Pearl have a special connection. It’s a second chance for them. This story also has the danger, excitement, sex and troubles in a MC club. A great start to this series! Tanner De Bruynne was amazing with the different voices and personalities of the characters.

Mixed feelings about this audiobook. I love a good MC romance, and this was good, possibly a bit on the cheesy side, with a few unbelievable bits, but enjoyable all the same. The storyline was good, great back stories and some wonderful characters, but a few of the club rules had me questioning the sanity of this group of bikers, I mean, I can imagine sharing women is a given in some clubs, but, I can’t imagine many guys sharing their old lady, just saying. Driller has the whole alpha male thing down pat, and I loved his protective side, however, I would have liked Pearl to have been a little stronger of mind and maybe a little more kick@ss. I loved all the drama, along with some truly emotional moments, it made for an entertaining read. Add in the narration from new to me, Tanner De Bruyne, with his deep, sexy voice, and I was a gonner. An enjoyable MC romance.

Pearl has wanted nothing more than to be an artist; a tattoo artist. She has a rough upbringing and never understood why her father was so protective of her and wanted to keep her in the shadows. When he is killed she is distraught and does not know what to do. Driller may be her only salvation. When he claims her as his will their love prosper or will the MC life take its toll on them both?

First book in this series and the first I have read from this writer. It was intense but enjoyable. Pearl is brought back home due to a death. But nothing will prepare her for what she is about to face. Driller takes her and wont let her out of his sight. But things aren’t as easy as he thinks they are going to be between them. There was a lot going on in this storyline. Between everything going on with Pearl to everything going on with Driller and the things that these two have in common. I was actually shocked at a few things that happened during this storyline. But it was a good intense engaging book from beginning to end. Driller and Pearl were two characters that you could get into and enjoy reading about. I will be reading more from this author and this series.

I love high-octane MC books and this one is the first in a new series, so I’m excited to have something to look forward to now. Driller is smarter and more of a thinker than some traditional MC guys, which appealed to me because I like my MMCs a lil broody. He’s put in a tough place in his MC politically speaking and he has to make some hard decisions for himself and for the club. I found Pearl relatable and I especially liked that she was an artist, which made the entire Dead Ringers world more colorful to me. This book had a lot of details and plot twists that I haven’t seen in other books, but I’m not going to spoil them because it drives me crazy when reviewers spoil books!
Loved this book. It was so good. The storyline, the characters were just out of this world. Add this to your TBR list today.

Pearl and Driller each have their own family problems. They’ve known each other for years but now events have occurred that bring them together at a bad time for both of them. Driller will protect Pearl but she’s a strong woman that can stand on her own two feet. This is a start of a new series. This isn’t a “typical” MC story but involves their families and their family problems as well as great characters and a well developed story. Fast paced read, good chemistry between the characters and a lot of background with family secrets and hidden traps.
It’s a great start to an MC series. I loved watching Driller and Pearl fall in love. They had their sweet moments, but it had the rough moments you would expect in a MC novel. I finished it in the same day, the subterfuge and twists keep me itching to know what was going to happen. It was a good read.

Deja Voss has brought us another story that sucks you in from the beginning. Driller and Pearl have explosive chemistry !! This is a must read!!
A very well written MC and is the 1st book in Dead Ringers MC Series. This fast-paced and standalone book which is in a series has very well craftyed Characters. It will keep you engrossed from start to finish because it has action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, intrigue, mystery/secrets, surprises, strength, courage, betrayal, trust, romance, passion, and love. This emotional roller coaster of a book will have you hanging on by the seat of your pants and not letting go until you have read the whole story. I love these types of books and I cannot wait to read more in this series and by this author.

Pearl left her father Vinnie behind when he couldn’t give her the encouragement she needed they both shared the same love of tattoo artistry but lies and her fathers drinking lead her far away from family and her Uncles MC. Allot has happened since she left her father’s demons have gotten worse her uncle is coming apart and then tragedy strikes her father is dead the local MC tells her it will be okay the get the ones responsible but she’s not sure she can trust them or Driller. Driller can’t believe how Pearl has changed he wants to make her his they will have a battle on there hands to many lies and murder and distrust lie in there path to make things easy for them.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via booksprout and this is my honest review.
I like this author and I thought the story itself was pretty good. I really wanted to know what was going on with the club, the Pres and Pearl’s dad. It kept me turning the pages. Unfortunately I just didn’t feel any chemistry between H/h.
**Very mild spoilers ahead**
There is one flashback scene with them as teens which was just normal awkward teen stuff – h gets drunk for the first time, pukes all over the floor, and promptly passes out. Driller cleans it up and leaves and that’s that. So when they meet up again in present time there was a lot of hostility on both sides that I really didn’t understand. I love me some insta love but I just wasn’t feeling it here.
Driller also shared club business with Pearl pretty much immediately and that was a HUGE no-no from me. 1 Pearl has been away from any association with the club for years. 2 No club business gets shared with the women. 3 Driller decides to go his own way and keep secrets from the club. I mean, I get why he thinks he needs to but…
I’m going to continue on with the series because I like this author and a different H/h can set a series right back on track.
