Love the entire series of Rattle Snake Ridge, and this is one of the books that goes with the series. I gather the gossip still builds and hopefully by the end they will learn their lessons of telling stories. I really do hope there will be more.
If you want a book without adult content the whole series is clean reading and great for everyone.

Drifting from Deadwood is the story of two searchers, trying to find their way home. Eleanor is left blowing in the wind after her husband dies. When Lance enters her life, her trust is at an all time low and her heart is determined to stay under lock and key. Can a wandering man, show her the meaning of true love? Emotion is at the forefront of this final BOOK in the Rattlesnake Ridge series.
Good story based on another of my favorite tropes. It was a slow building, against their will kind of love. And everyone sees it before the couple does. 🙂
The characters were well rounded and the story paced nicely.
I enjoyed this sweet and emotional romance. This sixth and last book in this series offers up Eleanor and Lance’s story. Both these characters had some emotional baggage and I really liked the way that their relationship evolved over time. I thought that this was a very good read.
The characters in this story both knew loss and harden their hearts to protect themselves. Through adversity, they learned to trust each other and in turned allowed their hearts to love. This story is very well written and is historically accurate as to what women were up against in the 1800’s.
I wonderful book written by Ramona Flightner. She was developed the story and the new characters very well and there is a lot of interaction between them. This is the last book in The Pioneer Brides of Rattlesnake Ridge and some of the townspeople are included.
A widow rancher with two coddled sons and minimal help for her cattle ranch hires a young ranch hand. She has to deal with a persistent obtuse single neighbor who wants to marry her for her land and water.
I liked that Lance helps teach the young sons basic skills for living on a ranch and surviving.
ONE NAILBITING ADVENTURE!!!
OMG! Wow! If you’re looking for an exciting, heart pounding, pulse racing, smooth flowing, page turning bombshell that keeps you on a razors edge, you’ve found it. Ramona brought it with this amazing tale, that swiftly catapults this gem bursting to life flawlessly. All the trials and tribulations, hope, uncertainty, loss and love make this one outstanding read that you won’t want to miss. Following the characters on their journey makes for one hair raising adventure. Ramona keeps the danger and suspense riding high as tension spirals throughout. The characters are authentic, genuine and realistic with such depth and individuality it’s easy to relate. The scenes are so graphically detailed and descriptive you have no trouble picturing each scenario as they play off one another in perfect balance. Wonderful job Ramona, thanks for sharing.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were believable and real. This is the story of a women who has had to be strong to keep her ranch going for herself and her sons. It is also a story of a man who thought he could never love again and a women who felt that she couldn’t trust a man again; as well as over coming some nasty gossip from towns folks. Enjoyable read
Wonderful complex characters. This is an historical western story about a woman rancher’s struggles and her family in Rattlesnake Ridge, Nevada. Interesting and moving read.
The 6th book in The Pioneer Brides of Rattlesnake Ridge. Such a enjoyable read, the book is very well written. I truly enjoyed Eleanor and Lance storyline, as the face several different tragedies and come out stronger than they were. For those that enjoy Historical Westerns I am sure you will love this book. I would certainly recommend it to others.
The sixth in the Rattlesnake Ridge series, Drifting from Deadwood takes a slightly different approach with the established rancher being the female character. Eleanor Ferguson is a widow with 2 boys, and she is fending off the attentions of a neighbor that also wants her property. Lance appears to be a drifter and he signs on to work for her. My favorite scene in the book is where the neighbor claims that she’s agreed to marry him and Lance set him straight, but I felt there wasn’t enough “zing” in the pace or the characters in general. It would have taken enormous strength of character to survive as Eleanor did, and I don’t feel that was conveyed.
