They say opposites attract. In my world that isn’t a good thing. I did everything I could to escape the motorcycle club I grew up in when I turned twenty-one. It wasn’t about fear, or betrayal, or even lack of love. I just needed my own life. I had to know how it felt to stand on my own two feet without their protection. Then I met Diesel. Mysterious, dark, with eyes that screamed to be … understood. From the second I met him, I knew I needed to be in his life. There’s just one problem – he’s a member of a different motorcycle club. Two things that should never be combined. Yet I can’t stay away. No matter how hard he pushes. I can see beyond his mask. I need to know who he is and I’ll overcome any obstacle to be in his life. A friendship is born, followed by an epic love. Our relationship is forbidden. But I’ll do anything to be in his life. Anything.

Why did I wait so long to read this book?! I read book one Pandemonium back in May of 2020 and I kept telling myself I will get to it but GAH I am so mad I waited. Being back in this MC world was everything I thought it would be and Diesel and Mercedes had so much chemistry it was damn near explosive!!
Mercedes and Diesel had the kind of love/hate relationship I live for!! Mercedes instantly wanted Diesel from the moment she met him but Diesel being the stubborn brut he is found that the only way he could handle his feelings was to push her away. When all he wanted was her, but his past is dark, and he is part of a much bigger world than she could even handle. At least, that is what he thinks but unbeknownst to Diesel, Mercedes is very much a part of that world and she can handle the darkness that he carries. What happens when secrets are revealed and both MCs are put on the line? Will they be able to work their club business out or will they be over before things really begin?
Man, I really did love this book sooooo much!! My only complaint is I felt like it ended way too soon. There was still so much of the story that could have been explored but I guess it is better to end the story short versus making it go on longer than necessary. You can’t go wrong with this book because you will get everything you could want in a romance; drama, angst and some serious FEELINGS!!
Only suggestion, maybe read the original MC Sinners series first. I didn’t and the story made perfect sense, but I felt like if I would have read Spike’s story first I would have a much better feel for who he was as a person and a father.
A sweet, intriguing, enjoyable, but intense journey to go on with Diesel and Mercedes. Mercedes goes through a lot, she’s highly emotional and fierce. She loves her family but needs something different and Diesel gives that to her. I adored their chemistry and their connection. I would have loved to get Diesel’s POV.
Lord above!! I thought the parents stole my heart but the Next Gen are killing me!! This almost like Romeo and Juliet, biker style but without the feuding families…….ya know what I mean!!
Any who Mercedes is kick ass! She is determined to ditch the biker princess tag and spread her wings at college…..and falls headlong into Diesel, who at first is a grade A d*ck!
What happens next is beautiful, heartbreaking, frustrating and so much more! This book made me feel everything! I cried on more than one occasion (the scenes between Mercy and her Dad….). My heart!
Off to read the next one!
This isn’t the dirty, gritty style that I’m used to from Bella, I call it a college romance but I enjoyed it all the time.
Spike is my fave from MC Sinner so I was excited for this book. With the next generation I wanted to find out what traits of the older generation the young would have.
Diesel is exactly like his dad Mack, broody, moody and grumpy especially towards the woman they are pretending not to be interested in and Mercedes is a mixture of her parents and Diesel’s mum Jaylah.
I love Diesel and Mercedes together, she has that pain in the ass sassy quality. When she was trying to bond with Diesel, it was hilarious the constant badgering of
“we are going to be friends’ whether he liked it or not.
‘Told you, got plenty of friends’
‘None as cool as me, buddy. None as cool as me”
Diesel really had no chance.
Diesel also has that biker charm that I love.
“I’m going to fuck you until my name becomes a permanent fixture on your lips, my girl likes that’
‘Your girl likes that”
It’s a great romantic college read and I look forward to the next one
