This book had me crying both sad and happy tears. The fear and struggles Drew are harboring just broke my heart. The strength and love his family shows him in support was heart warming.
This is a short but great story.
Drew cannot forgive himself for what happened to his daughter in Fury, so he and Charity decide to seek specialized help to face their demons. It is a step to help them overcome everything.
I highly recommend the reading.
Drew (Heaven Hill Shorts Book 8) by Laramie Briscoe was a great 5 star read.
I loved catching up with Drew and how he’s dealing with his daughter’s kidnapping and the fears that he is experiencing. Justice is home and safe but he can’t help but have that fear of not having her in his sight or knowing where she is at all times. This short will definitely tug at your heartstrings and have you crying. Drew is an awesome father and just wants the best for his family. We also get an unexpected surprise that also had me crying. I really enjoy these short reads they have so much packed into them I can’t wait to read the next one.

The Heaven Hill puzzle, gets another piece added with the “Drew.” As the President of the Heaven Hill MC, Drew has a lot of responsibilities. He is put into positions to make difficult choices, every day. Through the incident with his daughter, Drew changes. He has always been strong willed and steady, but after the incident, he is lost. I. This installment, we see the true character of the man and how reaching out for help, makes him stronger.
I loved seeing the ‘daddy’ side of Drew in this Short. Admitting his fears and having a moment with Justice was sweet AND sexy! I’m really enjoying seeing how each member of HH is handling the fallout of Justice’s kidnapping.
They may not be biologically father and son but Drew and Liam are so much alike you wouldn’t know the difference. They respond to tragedy in the same way, they are loyal, they are fierce and take pride in being a leader and they are both stubborn. Most importantly they both love with all of themselves and are the greatest protector. Drew was perfect to take over the MC when Liam retired it just took Drew a little while longer to realize he made the right decision.
WOW!! I’m normally not one for shorts but these HH shorts have given me so much insight to each individual character of this series. Now I’m hooked on these shorts.. Drew’s made me see the HH MC President in a new light. Worth the read!!
I love these Heaven Hill shorts, and every one that I read builds my anticipation for what’s to come. I would caution anyone not familiar with the Heaven Hill Generations series to heed the warning in the blurb because it’s not an exaggeration. Now, disclaimer aside, Drew is one perspective I’ve been waiting for. He’s such a terrific character, and I’ve been waiting to see his healing process after the events in Generations. As expected, his story is full of emotion, including a few tears, and just shows once again, what a great dad he is.
If you follow my reviews, then you probably already know that MC romance isn’t a trope I read a lot of. Nothing against it; it’s just not a romance trope that draws me – Except for this one. Laramie Briscoe’s Heaven Hill MC never fails to suck me in and hold on tight page after page. The subject matter does touch on some dark topics, but the MC isn’t the typical, which is one of the many things I love about the Heaven Hill family. And make no mistake, these people are a family, blood or not.
Drew is the 8th book in the shorts, and I loved every bit of it. I don’t know how many more are planned, but one thins is certain – I can’t get enough of the Heaven Hill MC characters.
In this short we get things through Drew’s perspective. After everything was said and done, he questions his duty as a father and protector. But he knows that it’s time to let all wounds heal. If you haven’t read Fury, stop what you’re doing and read it before these shorts. I’m excited for more.
In this short we see the real ramifications of Travis’s actions on Drew and his family. Drew can’t let go of the fact that he failed to protect his family, he’s suffocating on the guilt he carries from that day. He doesn’t know how to overcome the pain and guilt he feels. These shorts are so beautifully written and give us glimpses into the characters lives we don’t always get to experience. I’m so grateful that Ms. Briscoe was thoughtful enough to give us this beautiful gift. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion of this book. I look forward to reading the next book that Ms. Briscoe writes because I know that it’s going to be AMAZING!!!
He needs to forgive himself and learn to move on, but, how can he?
Drew can’t seem to get over that his daughter was kidnapped and the destruction of his MC and the fear of losing everything he holds dear. He needs to come to terms with what happened, and that Justice is home, alive, and fighting to move on with her life.
I have enjoyed these shorts and this story did not disappoint. Drew is a man who loves his family deeply and is destroyed that an MC brother betrayed not only him but the entire MC and hurt his little girl. Now he’s afraid he’s going to lose everything. Hearing Drew’s point of view on the abduction of Justice and the aftermath is heartbreaking. He’s a good father, husband, and loyal brother to the MC. I give this short a 5-star review and suggest that you read Heaven Hill Next Generation before you pick up the shorts, but you won’t be disappointed. Ms. Briscoe does a great job with some hard situations and you can’t help but love the characters of Heaven Hills or any of her other books.
Another short but sweet novella in the Heaven Hill MC world! I love that Laramie gives us these quick books to keep us engaged in the series and give us some background into how those involved have worked to move on after a life-altering experience. While we had a book focused on Drew in the past, this book is surrounding Drew as an older adult, and we see him in a different light in addition to seeing his growth from the previous book. The love and devotion he has for his family is extremely clear, and we see his transition into a different role within both his family and the MC. Loved this quick book and can’t wait for the next!

Drew by Laramie Briscoe is book 8 in the Heaven Hill Shorts series. This was very emotional and great addition to the short series. We get to see the struggle from Drew’s perspective, doubting his parent obligations after Justice kidnapping happens. This short story was very deep, emotional and full of concern and love. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This version of Drew really highlights his family side, the haunting effects of the kidnapping, and how much he still carries that with him. Drew and Charity have been through hell and back with their girls, and Charity knows Drew better than anyone. Only one person can help them move past their fears, Dr. Jones. Oh, how we love Dr. Jones….I hope shes still giving out advice at 110 years old. Watching Drews love explode for Charity, his strength is multiplied in Justice, and his ability to forgive himself is absolutely beautiful. This short is a very powerful, healing short that readers need to indulge in.
Laramie Briscoe gifted her readers yet another short story and this time it is the inside to Drew’s psyche after the horrible event of FURY that changed their life forever. Drew is one of my favourite characters in Ms Briscoe’s, he is an Alpha through and through. Now he is father who is grappling with guilt at his own perceived failure to keep his daughters safe. If you’ve read FURY, I urge you to pick up this short story of Drew.
In this emotional short we get to experience Drew’s perspective. This has anguish, healing, love and strength. Drew is struggling in the aftermath of Justice being kidnapped. He is feeling he failed his family. Charity and the girls are his life and he feels like he can’t protect them. I absolutely enjoyed the time with Justice in the gym. This does pull at your heartstrings but definitely worth reading. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Drew’s short is cathartic and touching. Everything has changed for the members of Heaven Hill especially for Drew, Charity, Justice and Harley. Drew struggles to come to terms of not being able to control all of the aspects of his life but with the support of his family they will all come out stronger together. This story was emotional and full of heart.
Drew a Heaven Hill short is another amazing short. I don’t want to give anything away so I will just say it was amazing like all the other stories Laramie writes. Thank you for giving us a look into Drew after everything that has happened in their life. Laramie writes amazing stories.
I love Drew!! Drew story is about trying to heal from the tragic events that have occurred prior, he’s still trying to overcome his guilt and grief and the overwhelming need to keep his family safe. Drew’s story is my favorite of these novellas so far!!
I sobbed my way through Drew, just as I knew I would. The pain and fear of a father and an MC president weighs heavily on him. He has to learn how to cope, to deal so that he can live his life with his family. Charity is Drew’s other half and she will do whatever she can to get him, get them through the toughest time in their lives. Laramie Briscoe writes with such emotion, such devotion to her characters and their struggles. These Heaven Hill shorts have been phenomenal. I have loved spending this intense time with the characters. That said I am going to be desperate for Justice and Harley to get their own books in the future cause those are going to be epic! 10 stars for Drew!
