A runaway Fae princess fleeing a genocide . . .A dangerous dark assassin with a grisly past. . .A world where only the criminally insane can dream.
I’ve spent my entire life isolated from the world in a palace prison, plagued by the dreams that have haunted me since childhood.
For thousands of years, the Dreamers, known as the Fae, have been hunted down as dangerous and insane aberrations.
I … dangerous and insane aberrations.
I thought I was protected from the forces seeking to kill me, until Prince Marcus came to court and all my illusions of safety were shattered when I was forced to flee my life as a Divine Princess.
Now, the only reason I’m alive is due to Darric Ursygh—whose bloody history and violent tendencies could get me killed before I ever experience a life outside of royal chains.
As supernatural talents emerge from my hands and first love claims my heart, I’ve realized dreaming isn’t the only mysterious power of the Fae, and the world is right to fear them. . .

If you like a good detailed PnR story that’s full of information with an intriguing plot, then Dreams Of The Fae is the book for you.
I found myself fascinated by the world this Author has created. It did take me a while to get into the story but once I did I really enjoyed it.
It’s a slow burning romance with plenty of character development so you really get a feel for their personalities as the story unfolds.
There are some wonderful characters in the book, I was intrigued with Darric straight away. His relationship with his brothers was very interesting to say the least.
I wanted to know all about him, he was very mysterious. The chemistry between him and Ayleth was undeniable, I loved how they bonded whilst still keeping their own secrets.
I’m looking forward to seeing what the Author has instore for Darric and Ayleth, especially after that ending.
I gave this 5 stars because the world-building and cast this story possessed were … truly remarkable. On that alone, I would have gone ten stars if possible.
“It’s human to be flawed. We can’t change our pasts. The only thing that truly matters is what we do with the future” – Aya
Aya …
Our young and very naive princess.
Elizabeth…
As the story progressed I have to wonder did she know?
The King and Queen…
Why? I know the answer is right there. I’m just not seeing it.
Luken…
He knew – how much of the truth does he know?
The Prince…
Evil- greedy- he knows but how?
The Stranger …
So many secrets – A friend? Or foe?
Flint…
Childlike in mind- angry – quick to react
Bromley…
The peacekeeper?
These are just some of the players on the board. Each a formidable opponent that leaves the reader asking friend or foe? I am still not sure.
The way Paige set the foundation for this series was spot on for those who enjoy the more complex aspects of a solid fantasy. That strong element of mystery and suspense that always seems to be present just a touch out of the readers grasp.. (reminded me a bit of Piers Anthony in his earlier years)
Paige provided a solid story line that instantly endears us to the main character. We feel her fears and her sense of hopelessness. I urged her on only to slowly realize maybe this wasn’t the brightest of ideas.
I don’t want to give spoilers
The story line develops slowly providing the reader insight into the different aspects of what truly happened and so many possibilities. The seeds of doubt are definitely sown and I have all kinds of questions and possibilities.
We watch as Aya finds her true self – Again I really do not want to give any spoilers but our pampered princess goes from zero to 60 in no time.
I need the next in series – yesterday!
The copy I read was comp.
Anna created an amazing world down to every last detail and it just kept expanding. I have read Fae novels before and this is a new take on the Fae. It was physical, instead of just mental. The MC’s had amazing chemistry. The character development and growth was extremely well done. It was a slow burn romance. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
I have read many fae books,it is actually one of my favorites to read. When I signed up for this ARC I did not realize this was the author’s debut book. Let me tell you, I couldn’t tell it was one of the best debut books. What I like about paranormal reads is the authors make their own rules and create wonderful worlds you can enjoy. This was a dark fairy tale that was very detailed. Princess Ayleth Rose, had a lot of growth in this book, finding her place. Darric honestly I don’t know if I hate him or love him still I might need to do another read over. Honestly, I love characters like these. One moment you are mad as hell and then the next moment you are falling for him. The supporting characters are well written and I’m intrigued what will happen next. Then of course you have secrets and mysteries that was not predictable at all. If you are looking for something fresh in this genre then this book is for you.
Dreams Of Fae, Transcendence is a new take on an old topic. I thought the author did a great work with the world building and character depth and growth. I liked the plot, the mystery and the secrets.
It’s a slow burn romance, with naive Ayleth and bad guy Darric. Can’t wait to read what comes next!
I just. I just love this story. It pulled me in from the very start and held me there intrigued and entertained the whole way through. I love the characters, the way they are, the way they interact, their personalities shine through the pages. And as for Darric…I have no words! I am excited to see where this goes in the next book, how all the little hints and snippets will come together and what happens next.
What an incredible twist on Fae and romance. I was not expecting this book to suck me in the way it did but I’m obsessed. I fell in love with the characters. They truly are intriguing and even the ones you want to hate, you can’thelp but love. Each page had me wanting more and I can’t wait for the next book in this series. #DAYLETH I have a feeling their story is only going to get more and more STEAMY throughout this series
This debut author deserves a 5-star rating for writing such an incredible tale. A truly unique twist on the Fae niche. Fantastic world-building, detailed characters, and a great plot. I hope she writes more!
I really really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait for the next! This book is a beautiful twist of complicated characters. I love the delicious Darric, his brudeing aloofness towards Aya and, I love his complicated brothers. Right from the start Anna takes you on a rollercoaster of imagery that really come to life. It’s exciting immediately! The characters you meet right off the bat are deep. I love the change of scenery and her crazy and intense experiences that bring her to Darric and then his brothers. The burn is slow, hot, intense and delicious. The relationship is built and well thought out. The details are brilliant!! You have to read this book! It will be well worth it, I promise.
The concept of this book was mind blowing, it is a new twist on the fae. I was enthralled into this story, and tumbled into loving this intense dynamic of these characters. I had a hard time putting this book down, and I’m salivating for the next novel! Darric just might be my new fav!
An intricate and exhilarating story set in a fantastical world, Dreams of the Fae is a fresh and wonderful new story. Lovers of both fantasy and dystopian novels will rejoice at the incredibly detailed world building and skillful character development.
Of course, this wouldn’t be a brilliant fantasy novel without a kick-butt and yet innocent and slightly naive leading lady. I enjoyed both sides to our heroine, but my favorite is obviously Aya. I am honestly really excited to see what this author will do with the two distinct sides to the LL in the upcoming books, it’s sure to be an epic battle of wills.
My favorite character would have to be the arrogant, haughty, dangerous, handsome, dedicated, loyal, intelligent and exceedingly broody Darric. I mean, come on. Who wouldn’t love the skilled fighter who possesses such achingly tragic secrets and carries his mistakes with him throughout every single second of his day. He’s woeful and lonely and I’m in love with him. Of course.
Despite this being the authors first dip into the author waters, she manages to write with passion, poise and precise execution. The plot speaks for itself, leading you throughout beautiful new lands full of both dangers and stark revelations. I really believe that anyone who enjoys this genre will adore this new addition to the queue.
Wow. What an interesting take on fae and the world of royalty. I absolutely loved this book. It was a slow burn romance that had you being able to experience every moment. I love ayleth and her personal growth in this book. Darric was a swoon worthy tough guy that will have you fuming and dreamy at the same time. I loved that Anna didn’t rush this. The fact that the book took its time and we got to get an in-depth look into the fae world and the divine. I was gripped throughout the entire book watching the scenes play out. The characters had time to grow and for us as the reader to learn their quirks and their relationships. I cannot wait to read more and to see where this series goes. I’m intrigued and I know any fae fan will absolutely adore the world Anna has created! Absolutely beautiful and full of wonderful creations. Well done, I’d give this book a million stars if I could!
Absolutely captivating read! Anna Patrick Paige is a brilliant author. I could not put this book down! Anxiously awaiting more from her!
