I finally finished Laini Taylor’s Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy this weekend. I’m a fairly quick reader, but it’s taken me the better part of a month to get through all three of these books, and I still have a pretty mixed opinion on the series. This was a very good 3-book read for me. I enjoyed the mystery and the characters. First reads by Laini Taylor. Hopefully it won’t be my last.
What an ending! I’ll admit that there are parts of this book that may feel a bit rushed, and sure maybe there are some holes here or there. Doesn’t matter. I love when stories and characters are a bit messy. On top of just some fantastic writing, this is easily my favorite book of the series!
This was a great ending to a wonderful trilogy. I love how creative it was. My mind boggles at the imagination of the author. The world is intricate and well built and the characters are very dynamic and dimensional.
