With time running out before his clan’s prince is discovered by mining or killed by enemy dragons, dragon shifter Jayrian needs to convince the elders to accept help from the humans. He hopes that the clever librarian, Gretchen, might be able to help him with that. He didn’t count on falling for her—that wasn’t part of his plan at all.
Gretchen longs for adventure outside of the books she reads … she reads in her job as a small town librarian. But not the kind that involves her moving to the big city to take the promotion her Aunt Mary offers. The cute guy who’s been hanging around the library seems far more exciting—there’s just something about him that draws her—so on impulse, she invites him to her family’s Christmas celebration. When a dragon lands on the front of her car on the way there, she wonders if she’s gotten more than she bargained for.
Together they must find a way to save his prince and clan, without sacrificing who they are, or their budding relationship.

Such a great and fun short story! The sharing of Christmas spirit is always heart warming and finding a love at that time is an awesome bonus! Oh and a dragon on top of all that… AWESOME!!!!!! Jayrian and Gretchen are an adorable couple with a hesitant start and a rocky Christmas get together give them the push to be together. Jayrian has a lot of courage to stand up to his elders with his ideas and Gretchen has some big cajones to stand up to an unknown dragon! The Trima dragon tries to warn them off but it only solidifies Jayrian ideas and Gretchen, after standing up to the Trima dragon, is in for penny in for a pound! The Rian clan is old and sorta set in ways from 300+ years before and not easily swayed but Jayrian does his best to change their mind. Gretchen helps to change their view of humans and brings Christmas to them and ends up admitting her feelings for Jayrian…which in turn changes everyone’s perception….lets hope it changes for the better! Great feel good story!
I have enjoyed all of Rinelle Grey’s stories so far… I received this story free in hopes a review left here. Enjoy the Story!
*WARNING* contains mild adult situations
Jayrian is a young dragon trying to find information from the humans in town. When Jayrian finds troubling information, he comes up with a plan, but the elders are so against humans that they discard it immediately.
Gretchen is the town librarian. There has been a man, a very nice, handsome man coming in daily talking to Gretchen and reading books.
Loyal Dragon Shifter is a very sweet story of a dragon man just trying to help his clan survive, but finds love instead. This story has very minimal intimate interactions, but that just makes the story better. There is a HEA and it comes with all the feels one looks for in a PNR.

I’m not sure I’ve read this authors books before. But this is a different kind of Dragon Christmas story. I’m wishy washy on this, I like it yet I didn’t. There is a lot of questions that were unanswered.
Gretchen aka:Greta is a Human
Librarian in the outback town called Mungaloo, Australia. She has been watching this crush of hers. Asking him to her family’s Christmas Eve dinner was a feat for her. Greta’s Christmas Eve started a Christmas Mircle but later the Grinch came could Christmas Eve be saved with the dragons?
Jayrian of Rian Clan is a Dragon Shifter who stays in Mungaloo as a human so he can watch the town, making sure he knows everything the human’s are doing. There was never nothing until now, it just so happens that after New Year’s the humans will uncover Prince Taurian’s Mesmer chamber, he had to get to the elders.
A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
A Christmas gift
I really enjoyed this new take on dragon shifters. The author brought us gently into their world with just enough of a hint of danger and excitement that I couldn’t put the book down. I love the way these two characters connected and worked together to make life better for the dragons. Oh and look, apparently you can teach old dragons new tricks. I can’t wait to read the next book, I doubt that induction into the world of dragons will be so gentle. But it is guaranteed to be exciting.
This was a little Christmas fun! I love the new cover but I miss the cute Christmas cover!
