I loved this collection of short christmas stories, they were well written and the characters were brilliant, I really enjoyed Christmas Kiss but only for the holidays and Christmas Kiss in London these two books really engaged me and the characters were brilliant, opposites attract in the Christmas Kiss only for the holidays. If you are looking for a great collection of stories, which are easy to read and lovely for this time of year.
Whether it was love at first sight, a two decade secret love, going from friends to lovers, or a fake romance turned real, love can be found in unexpected places. Throw in a holiday that has a sort of romantic feel about it with the glistening white snow, mistletoe and a little bit of Christmas magic and something is bound to happen. Don’t we all wish for Christmas miracles at one point or another? I enjoyed the characters as they weren’t indecisive and knew what they wanted and their back and forth banter was fun. I only gave 4-stars as I would have liked the stories to be a bit longer, however it was over all enjoyable to read.
Oh how I love a good Christmas story! Dreaming of Christmas is a sweet collection of holiday romance. I loved the connections between the stories. It gave a different view for that character and that made the stories even better. I have to say that Christmas Kiss, New Year’s Wish was my favorite! I loved reading Taylor and Luca’s story! If you want Hallmark channel feel good read these stories! Cuddle up with a fuzzy blanket and read some Joanne Dannon!
Dreaming of Christmas: 5 complete, sweet holiday romances by Joanne Dannon – Review by Gail Guerrero
Four Stars
I love cheesy Christmas stories. They just make my day. I really like these stories the characters were written well and the writing smooth. Got me ready to watch all the Christmas movies on tv. The author put together something nice for the reads to get a little romance with their tinsel.
Taylor had to be my favorite character. She was sweet and the crush on the bf was cute. I definitely recommend this book if you’re looking for something a little sweet to along with the cold nights and hot chocolate.

5 out of 5 stars
There are few things I enjoy more than getting cozy on my couch in front of the Christmas tree with a good book. Make that a book filled with the magic and love of the holiday season and I could stay there all night. Dreaming of Christmas is the perfect collection of sweet, heartwarming stories that will fill you with holiday cheer. My favorite thing about this collection is that while each story has their similarities and ties, they are each unique and enjoyable in their own right as well. I most enjoyed the Christmas Kiss stories. I am a total sucker for the fake relationship plot so Christmas Kiss: But only for the Holidays was definitely a favorite of mine. Christmas Kiss: New Year’s Wish was another absolute favorite as it was another theme that I can not get enough of.
I will say, the characters in all five stories were relatable and likeable, you wanted each to have absolute happiness. Joanne Dannon really put together a great holiday collection I would recommend to anyone that wanted to get into the spirit of Christmas, faith and happiness.
Dreaming of Christmas: 5 complete, sweet holiday romances by Joanne Dannon
5 of 5 Stars
I loved this collection of five heartwarming festive romances. ‘Dreaming of Christmas’ gives us five books in one, and each story was a wonderfully written romance which put me in the Christmas spirit. The five stories were all linked and were all about love, hope, family and of course the magic of Christmas. In ‘A Magical Christmas in Jerusalem’, sparks fly between Kiara Lonsdale and Jacques Lenoir, who runs a family tours business in Israel, over camel rides in the desert and mud baths at the Dead Sea. The couple must decide whether what they have is just a holiday romance or something more. ‘Another Magical Christmas in Jerusalem’, centres on Lucie Lenoir a tour guide in Jerusalem who is part of the family business. There is instant attraction between her and Tom Connor but Tom finds Lucie’s large family overwhelming and he’s never wanted a child of his own and Lucie does. The pair must either reach a compromise and have a relationship or just have a holiday romance. In ‘Christmas Kiss, New Year’s Wish’, Taylor Williamson has a massive crush on her best friend, Luca Bianchi but is afraid of ruining their twenty year friendship. Having shared a kiss or two at Christmas Taylor wishes their Christmas kisses will lead to more but Luca is about to return overseas for two more years.
‘Christmas Kiss in London’, introduces us to Amber who accidentally friends Stuntman Darcy Harris on social media but he lives halfway around the world, is a party guy and is younger than her. Darcy is interested in casual hookups where else Amber wants to settle down but there is a chance that their friendship can become love after sharing a snowy Christmas kiss in London. In ‘Christmas Kiss: But only for the holidays’, CEO Leo Turner needs a fake girlfriend for the holidays. Supermodel Jenna Williamson seems perfect as she’s not interested in settling down, however, when Christmas kisses become heated between the couple Leo realises that he can not meticulously organise everything. With a bit of Christmas magic their “arrangement” could become permanent. Each story has a lovely romantic storyline featuring some likeable, realistic and relatable characters, which made this an enjoyable and engaging read. The characters all came to life due to the authors descriptive narrative and the chemistry between the couples really came across as well. I could not put this book down once I picked it up and I fell in love with each story. This was a lovely romantic Christmas collection which is a perfect read for during the festive period.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed reading the short stories. The Christmas aspect of these romances filled me with the festive spirit to the point that I could not stop smiling. I instantly fell in love with the characters and Joanne Dannon’s writing style. If you enjoy reading Christmas romances’, this book is definitely for you especially as you drink a mug of hot chocolate by the fire.
This book is an anthology of five stort holiday Christmas stories. The stories are connected, but each have their own storyline. I love how it doesn’t take long to fall in like with each of the characters and wanting more. These are great stories that give you all the feels for romance and the Christmas season, so grab a blanket and settle in for a bit and enjoy yourself.

Dreaming of Christmas: 5 complete, sweet holiday romances by Joanne Dannon
Dannon has given us five holiday stories. A Magical Christmas in Jerusalem, Another Magical Christmas in Jerusalem, Christmas Kiss New Year Wish, Christmas Kiss in London, and Christmas Kiss: But only for the holidays. The first reads by Joanne.
A Magical Christmas in Jerusalem
Kiara is coming to Jerusalem for a Christmas tour with her grandmother. When her grandmother says she’ll meet the love of her life Kiara is unsure. She runs into her tour guide and sparks fly. The quote I choose for Kiara is: “Do you know how much I’m eating? Everything tastes so good, I won’t be able to fit in my jeans.”
Jacques and his family run a tour guide company. He wasn’t expecting to fall in love. He wasn’t expecting for a tourist to capture his heart. He knows she’s the one. The quote I chose for Jacques is: “Bien sur. Of course. But what I don’t know is you. We’ve talked for hours but I hardly know anything about you. Tell me, Kiara, why did you come here? Was it to have a magical Christmas in Jerusalem?”
Another Magical Christmas in Jerusalem
Lucie is the youngest sister of Jacques. She is heart broken and wants to set it right. She meets Kiara’s friend and finds that she likes him. The quote I choose for Lucie is: “It may seem old-fashioned but it’s what I want. And I thought you might be the one. And it may seem silly that I’m twenty-nine and hoping to be swept off my feet by the right guy, but I am.”
Tom comes to Jerusalem for Kiara’s wedding. He’s also there for his sister. He never wanted kids or a family. Things change when he meets Lucie. The quote I chose for Tom is: “Even if only a few want to change, I can put them on the right path, so they can grow up and become good men.”
Christmas Kiss; New Year Wish
Taylor loves everything vintage. She also loves her best friend. When a kiss changes everything will they be the same? She wants to be with him, but is scared. The quote I choose for Taylor is: “He was shocked, truly shocked. His mouth opened but no words came out. He loves me as a friend, and if that’s all I’m going to get, then I have to accept it. I just hope he still wants me in his life.”
Luca has no clue his bestie is in love with him. Being in America for two years has made him realize how much he misses his family. The quote I chose for Luca is: “I came to see your shop and then take you for lunch. This place is smaller than it looks in the photos you sent me but you’ve done an impressive job.”
Christmas Kiss in London
Amber has been missing her bestie who now lives in America. She befriends someone online after sending him a friend request she forgot to delete. When they start chatting things change. Can she find her happily ever after? The quote I choose for Amber is: “I know. But I’ve never had a lot of friends, and I was scared to travel on my own. If I analyse myself, I would say that my parent’s lack of acceptance of me and my work made me feel inadequate. If they’d encouraged me, perhaps I would’ve had the confidence to see all of this sooner.”
Darcy is a stuntman and loves what he does. He doesn’t see himself settling down. His career is important to him. When he gets a friend request from Amber he learns that he wants more. The quote I chose for Darcy is: “You most certainly will not. He shags every woman he can. I don’t want to hear about him going after you.”
Christmas Kiss: but only for the hoildays
Jenna is a model who doesn’t want kids. She soon learns that things can change for the better. She learns how to be a better daughter, a better sister and a better friend. The quote I chose for Jenna is: “It sounds silly but it is easier prancing around in next to nothing on a stage, because I’m acting. Sharing feelings, talking from the heart…it’s not really me.”
Leo is career driven and wants a family. He also needs a fake girlfriend. He goes to a friend for help, but will it turn to more? The quote I chose for Leo is “My parents reminded me that families come in different shapes and sizes. And I know that you won’t change your mind on having a baby the traditional way, and I’m not going to ask you to do something you don’t want to do. A baby is a lifetime commitment. It’s hard work. So, I have a compro‐ mise. Can you consider adopting or fostering a teen? But we’ll be doing it together. Not now. But maybe in a few years?”
