They’ve come back, a situation the humans never conceived of. More ghouls have landed on Earth, and it throws society in chaos. Bridges are burned, alliances are made, and Kit’s power grows stronger than ever before. When Dawn reveals a secret she’s been hiding, it gives Kit hope. Maybe they can end the dream war… if she can stay alive.
Great Finale !!
yazzzz! Loved this hardcore! Hey netflix you need to check this out! IT HAS YOUR NAME ALL OVER IT! make this into a movie!!! #DreamWars
The third and final book in this trilogy continues the wild and crazy ride through a futuristic world Stone has created. Book 3 was difficult to me because it was getting to the point where no matter what the main characters did, they were always one-upped by the aliens and truly struggled to find the end in sight. I applaud the difficult decisions the main character, Kit, made to stand up for Dawn and her friends. Though the series started off with a bang, it somewhat fizzled. There are a lot of times that things just fall into place too easily. There aren’t enough Easter Eggs throughout the series to allow the reader to speculate on what will happen in the coming battles. And the final “battle” ended up being short and anti-climactic. With all the build-up, I was expecting something more grandiose. I still enjoyed the series; it just wasn’t quite what I expected in the end.
**********Contains Spoilers**********
I thoroughly enjoyed this book just not as much as the previous two books. I’m not 100% sure why I thought that but I still give this book a well deserved 4 stars. I thought that it was good ending to the series as it wrapped up a lot of plot points. It’s action packed from the start and I loved getting more of Dawn and the other Galadrias, the younglings were totally adorable. I found that I missed the team dynamics of the previous books since they all got separately a lot during this book.
I’m glad that Damien and Kit escaped when the a*sehole politician and some soldiers took Kit and Damien just after they woke up, as the politician wanted protection while in the Dream Wars and threatened those that they love if they didn’t help him as ever since Kit, Damien and their friends blew up the alien oil supply that a select few in the government had been funnelling from the Dream Wars offering them protection, whereas the rest of humanity was fair game for the ghouls as they wanted to start a New World with their chosen people. Now the ghouls have changed the game and no one is safe which the a*seholes totally deserve.
Kit and Damien come up with a plan for her to open a portal to the Dream Wars and push the politician in then Damien will knock out one of the soldiers and put on his uniform to get out but it’s a crazy plan that doesn’t work very well but they at least make it to the helicopter and point a g*n at pilot’s head to get him fly them to safety but they find out that he’s a civilian and his happy to help in anyway he can after hearing that they have a way to stop the Dream Wars once and for all. Now the ghouls know that Kit can stop them they’re all gunning for her and take her out before she can stop them.
If I was Damien or Kit’s team I would be livid and hurt that she, her mentor and father figure Master Aki and Dawn went into the Dream Wars one final time without telling them and just leaving them a note, as she knows that she’s the only one to be able to end the ghouls before it’s too late. I know she was just wanting to protect everyone she loves and cares about but after everything they’ve been through together maybe they just want to do the same. Maybe if she’d taken a couple more people maybe what happened to Master Aki never would’ve happened. I’m glad that everyone got their happily ever after and I loved seeing Jeremy getting to the point where he trust Kit, just like he trusts Damien, Josephine and Mr Hansen. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
