I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This book starts as soon as the last book finished. After Jeremy and Damien created a cuff that helps protect the wearers against the ghouls, giving it away to as many people as possible and just asking for donations it tipped the favour to humanity but now the ghouls are fighting back and somehow transporting people bodies when they wake in in the real world to a completely different place from where they went to sleep, even next to complete strangers.
After a suggestion from Kit Jeremy thinks that it’s got to do with DNA so they test this theory by going in teams of two and when they get into the Dream Wars their partners will each add some blood to a tube to each other’s suits so fingers crossed that it works so they’ll wake back up in the same place. The teams of two don’t get split up but Damien and Kit wake up at her mum’s house in Florida and their friends/family all woke up in some place that has meaning to one person in each couple. They have no idea how the ghouls did it but that’s something to work out another day.
They find out that the government is working with the ghouls and that only a select number of rich a*seholes are safe and the rest of humanity be damned all for the green goop that’s all over Dream Wars as it’s a new clean fuel source so they find a way to hit them where it hurts. Jeremy also studies Kit to learn more about her powers, as he noticed that her powers are similar to that of the female breeder ghouls and he thinks that Kit can be used as a weapon to end the Dream Wars once and for all. I loved seeing Kit and Damien’s relationship strengthen during this book and seeing Nox and Maxine and Brisk and Ronnie finally sort their sh*t out as they’re all great together. Wow, what an ending and I’m really excited about reading the final book and seeing what happens. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.

Domination (Dream Wars #2)
Heck that was roller coaster!!
The Breeders have shown their hand & are fighting back. Humans are waking up from Dream Wars all around the globe having been separated from their teams, family’s & friends upon waking!! No one knows how they’ve managed to effect them on Earth but it’s a scramble to try to get back to each other every time.
Kit receives another call from her ‘inside man’ with a warning, he’s enraged with what he knows!! It changes everything & has them moving again. Fighting the grunts, sentries & breeders is bad enough under these circumstances but then something else awakens! Dawn & all of the Galadrians become even more important once Kit is stranded. As do her psychic powers!! Its time to bring the right on all fronts!
Amazing!!

I thoroughly enjoyed Book 1 despite not liking Sci-Fi books, and was excited for the second book, but it does take a turn for crazy. The way the “ghouls” change the game in their favor gets discouraging fast. There are some plot holes where the concepts are hard to grasp, but I was able to just accept them for the crazy that they were and roll with the rest of the book. I usually get caught up on such details, but I was surprised at how I was ok just accepting them for the magic that they were. The characters get deeper and grow on you even more. I guess one of my main critiques is that the books are pretty quick reads, but again, I’m thankful there isn’t a whole lot of “fluff”. And considering each time the characters sleep and enter the dream war is so different and terrifying, I can see why the books are the lengths that they are. I was hooked after Book 1; and can’t wait to read the final book in this unique series.
