Mr. Sandman, send me a dream, ta da da da…..Seventeen year old Chastity Blake knows the Sandman is just a silly children’s story parents tell their children to get them to sleep. At least she thought it was, until the day a mysterious, light golden sand appeared in her hands during a high school prank that went horribly wrong. A sand that has the power to send anyone it touches into a deep, … sound sleep.
Fearing she had lost her mind, Chastity soon discovers the shocking truth of her heritage- she is a Dream Caster. Chastity was never supposed to be raised on the Domain, or what humans call Earth and she is forced to return to her true birth place, Revera – the world of Dreams.
However, in Revera there is no balance between good, the Light Casters, and darkness, the Shadow Casters, and Chastity is caught square in the middle. She soon learns that there is no place for anyone containing both the light and the darkness within them, and the shocking truth that if anyone in Revera ever discovered her shadow self, Chastity would be thrown into the Oblivion – the world of Nightmares.
Dreams are always more than they seem, and this time Chastity is going to discover just how different they can be.

FOR THOSE SIFI FANTASY LOVERS
Great Teen Read! Unique story and likable characters.
This is a great book, very detailed in descriptions = I could almost imagine being in this setting.
Began like an everyday highschool happening. Escalated from there to some strange stuff starting to happen that is especially puzzling to our main teen character.
Now action starts to get exciting and warped out.
Interesting characters that draw you in and leave you wanting to know/read more. Solid story, easy to read.
I think it was absolutely fun and edgy.. It made me want to read more and kept me up all day and night just to find out what happens next.
This first book in The Dream Casters Series by Adrienne Woods certainly set the bar for readers’ satisfaction and enjoyment. The characters are put through many trials and tests and obstacles, especially Chas who must make the decision as to whether she is going to be a light (good) or dark (bad) Dream Caster and what that choice will mean as to where she resides and how she lives and survives this suspenseful and emotional adventure. To me, the author is saying that people are NOT born good or bad and their surrounding culture does NOT determine that status. No, they must make a conscious decision to make that choice themselves as evidenced by the many people who come out of the same neighborhoods, family situations, etc. and become upstanding citizens who contribute to society in many professions. This book also sets up the next book in the series as there are many questions left unanswered and even some that are not even asked. The only negative I have about the storyline, is I wish the author had spent just a little more time explaining the differences between the light and dark side of things. I have already added book 2 to my TBR file. This is a voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Booksprout.
Wish this were a longer series of books .Highly entertaining . Characters felt so real !
I like the writing style of the story. the author’s use of myths and technology is interesting as well as spellbounding. cant wait for the next installment.
With a high school prank that goes terribly wrong, Chastity finds out the secret of her heritage. Cassie is a “Dream Caster”. Because she was never meant to be raised on Earth, the daughter of a Light Caster and a Shadow Caster, she must go back to Revera, the world of Dreams. But she finds there is no balance between the Light Casters (representing good) and the Shadow Casters (representing darkness). The problem that makes for Chastity is that she is actually caught somewhere in the middle where she contains both the light and the darkness. If they find she has a shadow self, Chastity would be thrown into the Oblivion world of Nightmares!
In a world where she has no idea who can be trusted, Chastity has to make her own way and stay hidden as much as possible. Will she be discovered? Will she end up in Oblivion?
This book was different, but not necessarily what I was hoping for. It didn’t make the world building come alive. It didn’t pull me into the story. I thought it was difficult to follow what was going on. I’m hoping the next couple of books in the series will improve on this.
Gripping book couldn’t put it down, you get yourself lost in the book finding out she has dream dust and her mother is the most feared dark caster and her father was a great light caster, she dose what she can to choose light but will she go dark?
I can’t wait to read all of this book. To find out what happens in the dream land. Are they going to find out that she comes from the domain, and she has both light and dark with in her?
This book has some great characters! Chas thought she was normal until she put her enemies to sleep. Men came to take her away and her mother revealed her secrets. She end up in a dream realm and her adventure begins. She has to hide she is part dark but with Leigh and her friends, she over comes what she has to save her new home. I cant wait to read the next book.

Everyone knows the Sandown is just something parents tell children to get them to stay asleep. What if it is really real, that is what she finds out. She finds she is a sandman.. Now she is taken to what will become her new home. She learns that she has both parts in her. If anyone finds out she is doomed. What will happen? See by reading

Dream Casters: Light by Adrienne Woods is a wonderful story to read. I am so glad I was so glad I was able to read this wonderful story, with strong characters and wondeful story line. I love reading stories about magic and this is one that I am loving to read. It is number one in the series and I can not wait to read the second story in this series. I highly recommend this story to all and if you buy it you will not be disappointed.

Dream Casters: Light
Dream Casters Series Book 1
Adrienne Woods
The sandman are real? Who would have ever thought that people were out there that could actually put you into a deep sleep? Chastity Blake has powers that she shouldn’t have even for a sandman. Of course they call them Dream Caster’s where they come from – Revera -The world of dreams. What happens when you are forced to choose a side to a war when you just find out about a world in which you shouldn’t even exist?
Chastity is such a relatable character and the world’s so far pull you in right from the beginning. I really enjoyed this first book and plan on buying the next one as well as this one, which for me is the highest praise. The twists just keep coming, if your looking for a new series to start this is an excellent beginning to what I’m sure will be as epic as the dragonian series. The copy I read had very few grammar mistakes and flowed nicely. I would recommend this series to anyone looking for a new world to explore.

Mostly meant for the YA crowd, I thoroughly enjoyed it even as a mom of them. Definitely an original idea, and great imagery, the plot had plenty of twists and turns that kept it really interesting.
It was a really interesting world which I hadn’t read about before. I couldn’t wait to buy the next one
