At seventeen, Lizzie Thornton left her hometown of Fair Haven to pursue her musical dreams—and to run from Trent Younger, the boy who broke her heart. Now a successful singer, Lizzie returns to Fair Haven nine years later. When she runs into Trent at her brother’s wedding, she discovers he’s no longer the shy boy she left behind. He’s a sexy, confident man who knows what he wants—and what he … wants—and what he wants is her.
When a night of passion results in unexpected consequences, Lizzie must grapple with prior heartbreak and with accepting that she still loves the one man she could never forget.
Trent Younger grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, and he fought tooth and nail to establish himself as one of the most successful restaurateurs in Fair Haven. Yet he’s never forgotten Lizzie Thornton, the girl he adored, the same girl who left him to pick up the pieces of his life after tragedy struck them both.
As Trent uncovers the layers of Lizzie’s guarded heart, he realizes that he doesn’t just want her in his bed. He wants her in his life—forever.
Yet even as love rekindles, their pasts threaten to drive them apart. Unless they confront their demons, Lizzie and Trent may jeopardize a love that has already withstood the test of time.

Too much explicit sex. Hate of an off and on couples families. Ending was strange
All the books in this series are great, I recomed all of them.
Story is romantic, it has some twists, it’s easy and relaxing to read, characters are engaging and you can learn about other characters in the series in other books.
I really enjoyed Lizzie and Trent’s story. They were high school sweethearts but life went wrong and Lizzie ran. Now Lizzie is a successful musician and Trent, the boy from the wrong side of the tracks, is a successful restauranteur. These two have so much history, so much shared pain, but also so much love that when they reconnect at Harrison’s wedding they can’t keep their hands off each other. A surprise pregnancy and a whole lot of hurt keeps them apart before they both get over themselves and realise they are meant to be together.
There is so much going on in this book, that I don’t even know where to begin. In this story, Trent and Lizzie get an opportunity at a much needed second chance. As teenagers they badly hurt each other and neither one has recovered from those wounds. My heart broke for these two and all the pain they had experienced. I loved watching them learn how to be together again, how to communicate, how to purge all that pain. I’m so glad I got this chance to come back and visit the Thornton and Younger families.
Loved It
Lizzie & Trent were high school sweethearts. But she got pregnant and lost the baby and things were strained between them. Now she is back for her brother Harrison’s wedding and the feelings are just as strong. Can they make it work this time.
Really really liked this story. There were times you just wanted to shake some sense into Lizzie cause Trent is an amazing man and she is so lucky to have him. To be mad at him for 8 years cause he called her twin brother to come help them was ridiculous…. she could have died. This turned out to be a beautiful love story with a HEA and it’s a standalone! Great story!!!
Can’t to wait to read #5 in this series. Just enough drama, just enough need for redemption and love to carry the story line.
A great read.
Wonderful story!
DNF.
I enjoyed it.
I had read three others in this series and enjoyed them, which made this mediocre story very disappointing. A successful singer/songwriter and a successful restaurateur who seem to have nothing but time on their hands, make numerous immature decisions plus (spoiler alert) two accidental pregnancies, many years apart – really??
Your typical forgettable romance

This series is really good. I’ve read 3 and they didn’t disappoint. The book has a great story line and I just had to finish it in one seating.
