Money isnt everything would be the theme of this book. A compassionate, witty nurse meets a rich, aloof grandson while taking care of his dying grandfather. Although they are opposites at first, they have an strong, eerie attraction to one another. Turns out he really isnt what he seems at first glance. Well written and entertaining.

Love and family are complicated, not a competition.
Drake storms into a home in Virginia not knowing what to expect. Turns out the grandfather who raised him really is dying from lung cancer. Not a test to see how his grandsons react. Brother Derrick staid in New York to try to take over the family business. Fun family .
Losing their grandfather has life changing potential for the boys, especially since there are likely still a few weeks before he passes.
Meeting his nurse, Lexi, has love and life changing potential for Drake – if he fails to throw it all away in the name of fear, greed and business success.
Intense KU read!

She’s going to do whatever she has to do to protect her patient, even if it means dealing with his very handsome grandson.
He doesn’t trust the nurse taking care of his grandfather, even if she is compassionate.
As they go against each other for what’s best for the patient, they both realize judging by first impressions isn’t always the best.
A reminder that money isn’t everything, don’t forget to build a life while building your empire, family is important and don’t always judge someone by the first impression

This is a new author to me. I enjoyed this story. Lexie and Drake meet at a bad time because his grandfather Oliver is dying and Lexie is his nurse. Drake thinks that Lexie is nothing but a gold digger but that is not the case. She genuinely cares about Oliver. There are some issues with the business and how it is run. Drake has a twin brother who is trying to change how the company is. Drake goes to Virginia to see if he can get his grandfather’s help in stopping his brother. While Drake is in Virginia, he starts to see Lexie in a new light and his attraction starts to grow for her as does hers for him. I thought it was a sweet story. If you are looking for heat then this is not the book for you but if you are looking for a nice story, then you found it with this one.

Lexie is the nurse to a dying cranky older wealthy man Oliver. He’s left the family business & returned to his childhood home. He has pitted his twin grandsons against each other & raised them after the deaths of their parents. There was no love only business.
Drake, the nicer of the twins, tracks down his grandfather & encounters Lexie thinking she is a gold digger & after his grandfathers money. They are at odds in the beginning even though being attracted to the other. A love/hate develops until they give in to it.
There are a few obstacles in their way esp when Derrick, his twin & wife appear. A few secrets are revealed as well.
Will Drake give up the family business for love or continue to fight for business against his ruthless brother?
If you love a tiny fiery southern belle vs a stubborn millionaire then you will love this. The banter & chemistry between our protagonists was very believable.
