I found this author a few years ago and simply devoured her “Until” series. LOVED it. And I was able to keep up with a few of the “Until Him/Her” books, too. Then life happened. Big move across the country, went back to work full-time for a while, kids, etc. Then I began reviewing books for Wickedcoolflight, and there are just SO many requests we get to review books now that I’ve missed a few of hers. So, when I had the opportunity to review this book, I didn’t want to dive into the series starting with book 4. I went for broke and binge-read the first three books before I dove into this one. And I highly recommend ALL of the Fluke My Life series books so far! With that said, Drawn Into Love absolutely can be read as a standalone book. I just really liked her books in the past, and this was a really good excuse to get caught up on some of the ones I’ve missed in the last 2 years.
Drawn Into Love is Courtney and Lucas’ story. She’s been cheated on and recently divorced but has no children. And desperately wants them. He’s a recently divorced single dad who’s also been cheated on. He adores his little girl. And so does Courtney. But can two people that have been so hurt by their pasts truly learn to build a beautiful future?
For fans of contemporary romance with some pretty steamy scenes (but not so many that the plot seems to be lacking), this is the book for you. I love books about characters rising from the ashes of past mistakes and realizing they have enough strength to build a much better future for themselves. And this hit the mark. Courtney is wounded but no wallflower. Lucas is frustrated with his ex’s lack of involvement with his daughter, but he isn’t closed off to another relationship.
NICUnurse’s Rating: The entire series is worth reading, and I would give each book, as well as the entire series, 4.5 stars. They all kept me intrigued enough that I spent two entire days binging the whole darn thing! The characters are quirky and loveable, each situation very different, and the outcomes are worth the time you’ll spend reading. So this is me…heading to catch up on all the Aurora Rose Reynolds I’ve missed out on in the last two years!
Fluke My Life is one of those series that you never want to come to an end. This book draws you in and has you captivated and your heart full. Two people who have reached for a dream and only to have it broken find each other on their path to moving on. Courtney is the woman that he has always been looking for and Lucas is the man that could give her forever. As these two fall down the rabbit hole of love at a dramatic rate, meddling ex’s and secrets might just be a road block these two can’t get past. A beautiful love story that is packed full of heart and seriously steamy moments that will have you not only enamoured by this couple but a cute little girl who deserves nothing but happiness.
I swear I have been waiting for this book since the first book in this series! It was worth the wait! Courtney and Lucas were so amazing! I laughed, cried and got angry a lot while reading this book, but every emotion was worth it! Another FIVE STAR READ from Aurora Rose Reynolds!
Drawn into Love is a sweet, loving and oh so adorable story!!
Talk about making me melt a little inside. Courtney and Lucas’s story just has it all, soul, heart and yes hot as heck!! Bringing me to devour this read in such a quick time and then listening to the audiobook. Well, because I just couldn’t get enough!
Life isn’t turning out the way Courtney dreamed it would. The same goes for Lucas. After a divorce, a relocation, and a house purchase, Courtney is finally moving on with her life and is determined to be happy and successful. What she doesn’t expect is the handsome single father that makes her question her decision to be man-free. Lucas has always wanted forever with a good woman and to build a family like the one he grew up with, unfortunately his ex had a different idea. What he finds with Courtney could be the dream of all dreams, but he’ll have to win her over while navigating tricky exes, a daughter yearning for a mother, and Courtney’s most well-kept secret.
I was drawn to Courtney right away and absolutely loved how she stood up for herself despite all the conflicting feelings she had regarding her ex. She made up her mind and was her own first champion and supporter. The way Courtney’s boundaries included both steel and softness were wonderful. What also endeared her to me was the way I could absolutely relate to her reflecting on the little things that proved her marriage wasn’t as happy as she thought it was. Her honesty despite her insecurities gave her appeal, her desire to be loved and vulnerability were character strengths rather than flaws, and her heart was her best asset. I saw her shortcomings but loved her both because of and in spite of them.
Lucas was even more wonderful than Courtney in my opinion. As much as I loved her, I loved Lucas and then some. His commitment to Courtney showed in everything he did and there was nothing he wasn’t willing to do to show her how invested he was in them as a family. Never letting his ex get the upper hand, upfront honesty and transparency, not rushing into a sexual relationship yet still sharing intimacy, and the way he was with his daughter all came together to make a superlative male lead.
There were probably some things about the story that bothered me while I was reading, but by the time I was done I couldn’t remember a single one. The whole story won me over and made me wish I had started this series from the beginning. Supportive side characters that enhanced and didn’t detract from the story added another layer of depth without distracting from this particular romance. I’m eager to see if one particular character gets a story of her own. For now, I’ll have to satisfy myself with starting from the beginning.
Drawn Into Love by Aurora Rose Reynolds is book 4 in the Fluke My Life Series. This is Courtney Williams and Lucas Fremont’s story. We’ve were introduced to Lucas Freemont and his precious little daughter Madeline in the previous books. At that time he was married to evil witch Eva and now, in book 4 when we get his story, he is finally free of Eva who is not present in Madeline’s life and that’s something which is sad to read about in this story- in the sense a momma should always be a momma but Eva is still Eva. Lucas is a single dad and living in New York. He is this hot architect who meets this beautiful woman named Courtney. She was referred to him because she needed renovations for her new home and Lucas was highly recommend. It’s clear that sparks went off during their first meeting and a connection was formed. Courtney is newly divorced in a shocking turn that she didn’t see coming. Now she is trying to rebuild her life- will that be with Lucas? There are many things that they consider before diving headfirst into a relationship. There are obstacles, ups and downs. Oh and there is happiness, laughter, and heartbreak, but Lucas’s devotion to Courtney never wavered. Ms. Reynolds wrote with pure emotion, love and feels. I started and couldn’t stop reading until I was completely finished. This story will enthrall you and entice you with alpha, single dad and sassy, sweet divorcee’. Its another beautiful love story.
My Rating: 4.9 stars *****
Drawn into Love is the fourth book in Fluke My Life Series. It can be read as a standalone, but why not start this great series at them beginning. The story is a easy read, with a single dad and precious daughter and a woman who’s starting over. The characters were likeable and real with their feelings. I liked seeing past characters too. I enjoyed reading this story.
I received this book from Netgalley.
This read is just heart warming. Both characters are so caring and family focused. Both strong and deserving. Something I really liked about this book is that Courtney and Lucas communicate really well. If he feels something is off he will ask and insist until he is told what the problem is. Then he will proceed to be clear about his intentions or how he plans to fix things. She didn’t think she would like a bossy man, but she certainly likes letting him taking charge without loosing her strength as a woman. You will too.
It’s always ovary exploding and heart melting when a man is a good father. This story is no exception. Plus Maddie is adorable. She is the perfect focus for these two. Taking things slow pays at the end even when it gives you fingernail biting, I would have jumped the guy already type of feelings as a reader. He definitely is one of the good guys. Mama raised him right.
Drawn into Love is the fourth of the Fluke My Life series, and yes, you should read the previous books before this. The returning characters and all that jazz. Courtney moves to New York to start a new chapter in her life, the last chapter ended with broken promises. Divorced now and determined to be happy, she meets Lucas for a appointment to discuss what plans she has for the house she just bought. Lucas moved to the city after his divorce, it helps that he lives across the hall from his brother and sister-in-law, but being a single father is hard. Having had no desire for any woman since the divorce, when Lucas is not only attracted to but felt the sparks with Courtney, he is determined that they will move slowly but he is going to see where this can go. But when their pasts come back to bother them, and the fact that Lucas needs to put Maddie first, will their relationship even get a chance?
I loved everything about this book! This gives you all the feels; my heart broke for Courtney, I was in awe of Lucas and how he took care of Maddie, and even had the need to throat punch a few people. This was light on the naughty times, but I actually thought that it was perfect for the story. I really hope this series isn’t over, but I don’t see anyone else that needs to be paired up, maybe we get lucky and ARR has someone else in mind! I give this 5 stars.
I love a story that is about love. I’ve waited for Lucas and Maddie to have their happily ever after. This did not disappoint. I really love the fact that yes, there were ex’s, but no real outside drama, just a story of abiding love. #BOOM
This book just had all the feels and is definitely one of my favorites in this series! I just love single dad/mom books and this one was no different but the chemistry between the characters was something you could really feel when reading. I didn’t want this book to end! An amazing read and a must read!
Courtney is newly divorced and needs to get away. She moves to NY with a new job opportunity and is waiting for her new house to be all renovated. When she meets Lucas, there’s something about him that draws her to him but she holds back. The more she spends time with him and his little girl, there’s a shift and she’s beginning to feel more confident but there’s just one thing from her past that doesn’t seem to be able to let her go…
Lucas is raising his little girl on his own after his divorce and is trying to do the best he can for her. When he first meets Courtney, he’s immediately drawn to her but nothing really comes from their first meeting but the more time they spend together, the more their connection seems to deepen. But when someone from his past comes back into his life, he’ll have to try his best to not let it interfere with the life he’s trying to build.
Will both finally be able to move on from their past and let go? And will they finally be able to have the happy ending they both so deserve?…

From the moment I started reading Drawn Into Love by Aurora Rose Reynolds, I was HOOKED. I could not put it down! It is the fourth book in the Fluke My Life series. It’s a story about two people who have been unlucky in love and how they find it again. If you are looking for a quick read that keeps you entertained, this book is for you!!
After six years of marriage, Courtney Williams finds herself divorced and alone. With the money she gets from her divorce she heads to New York City to start her life over. She’s strong-willed and determined to make it on her own. When she buys a new home, she hires handsome, Lucas Fremont as her contractor. There is chemistry from the very beginning with these two but both are holding back for fear of moving too fast. They both have baggage from their past that makes it seem like a relationship would just be too hard. Will they turn their growing friendship into something more? Only time will tell….
I really enjoyed this book. Reynolds portrayal of the characters was so perfect. I felt like I was there looking in on the whole scene. The story flowed well and I had no trouble reading it. Like I said before, I was unable to put it down!! Since I’ve read book four first, I want to go back and read the first three now!
Although I liked both characters overall, I felt like Courtney was a bit of a baby at times. I didn’t feel like she had the fight in her that I was expecting from the beginning of the book. I wanted her to be more assertive than she was. Lucas, on the other hand, was strong and powerful but at the same time, he came across as pushy and demanding. I wanted to tell him to pump the brakes a few times.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the other books in this series.
ARR never fails to write a sweet romance that sucks me in and leaves me swooning and happy.
Courtney and Lucas are both divorcee’s with some ex angst. They seem to meet at the right point in their lives. The connection between them is instant and made me seriously swoon. Lucas is a typical ARR hero that I love in her books as he’s the typical over-protective male.
AAR always manages to write her stories filled with heartfelt emotion. She weaves her tales of romance mixed with humour, happiness, family and small bits of angst but its the perfect blend that has you hooked.
Another great read from Aurora and I can’t wait to see what she brings us next.
Awww ! What a sweet and heartwarming story ! Do I need to say that it’s great addition to whole series??? Nope, it’s unecessesary. Drawn into Love is just as amazing as You can only imagine, when it comes to that author.
When I saw that Aurora Rose Reynolds annouced another book in series I was sure that I want to put my greedy hands on this story. And what can I say… This author didin’t dissapionted me. As always, reading mrs Reynold’s words was pure pleasure. The story line, the characters, bad and good moments was mixed perfectly together. I couldn’t put this book down.
Drawn into Love is about LOVE obviously, suprise suprise ! But this love connected 2 kinds of my favorite characters in books – single, hot dad, and woman with broken heart.
Courtney is wonderfull woman, but she had problem with trusting. After having divorce she doesn’t want to risk her heart any more.Lucas is pretty much Alpha with sweet little girl in the background.
What I liked the most in whole story ? During reading I saw that Lucas is such a man, however man who is also so caring, and loving si deeply. Since first meeting Lucas and Cortney was perfect match. Sometimes they was laughing, sometimes they were crying… sometimes they was just hot for each other. – Level MAX. And all this things above made this book special, because this book is about love, trust, healing and family – the most important things in our life !
Courtney and Lucas have both had bad relationships in the past. They’re both leery to trust again but feel the draw to each other. Are they both going to be able get through what their pasts have done to them? Will they be able to let their guards down and let each other in?
Lucas is sweet, a great dad and is an alpha. He knows he wants Courtney in his life but he’s got a fight on his hands. Courtney is scared of her feelings for Lucas especially since her ex treated her the way that he did. (I totally wanted junk punch the ex.)
If you’re looking for a sweet, hot burn with an alpha then this is a book for you!
Awesome story with all the feels!
I can definitely say that Aurora Rose Reynolds is an author that is going on my autobuy instantly! I have read a couple of her books and each of them really brings me the emotional impact that I love in a story, and DRAWN INTO LOVE is no different! The characters are very engaging and pull you directly into the story and along for the ride. I felt the angst and sadness of the characters. The irritation that came up with some of the secondary ones and the happiness that both Courtney and Lucas felt for each other.
These characters took their time to build up, while also moving a little faster than I think either was comfortable with at times, but it worked really well. The sweetness through the pages is refreshing and the how each character dealt with the drama from baby mama was really good. And her ex … wow, what a douche!
Overall impact of the story was high. I have read through the book a couple times and each time I am just as entertained. All of my readers buttons were pushed with accuracy and I was so happy with how the storyline played out. So for me … two thumbs up and I can’t wait to see what the author comes out with next. Happy reading!!!
My favorite so far! I’ve enjoyed all the stories in this series but Drawn Into Love with the single dad and the sweet woman who wins his heart takes the #1 place.
I’ve wanted Lucas, Levi’s brother, to get his own HEA since we met him and his awful wife in the first book. Now divorced and with sole custody of sweet little Maddie, he’s moved to the city and is living across from his brother. Devoted to making up for the lack of a decent mother to his daughter, he’s also a very successful architect.
Courtney hasn’t had the easiest of lives, and the less than stellar end of her marriage has only left her with broken dreams. A fresh start in a new city and a new house is what she needs, and in the first meeting with the architect that will design her new home remodel all is forgotten but the incredible chemistry they seem to have.
I freaking loved this book. Lucas is the stuff dreams are made of, with his hunky bod, bossiness and devotion to being the best daddy to his little girl. The fact that he could dirty talk like a boss did not hurt one bit. The second he meets Courtney and realizes the potential they share he goes all out to win her over.
Courtney had some healing to do, and Lucas and Maddie were just the right people for the job. She was sweet, caring and funny and I completely adored the way she was with little Maddi.
With some mild angst, I felt the whole exes thing could have been milked a bit more and was actually kind of disappointed that when we got more it was barely mentioned at the end of the story. I loved the time we got to hang with some of the other couples and all the puppy love. Sweet, sexy and light, Drawn Into Love was exactly what I expected and I enjoyed it from start to finish.

Sexy Dad alert!
I love second chance books, absolutely love them. But what I love better is single Dad books, yes single, hot, sweet Dads are my weakness. And Drawn Into Love gives us both of those combined into one awesome read.
Courtney and Lucas both have had terrible past relationships and to see them fall so deeply in love with each other made me smile. They are absolutely perfect for each other and their story had me feeling all the love. There are definitely times that Lucas’s daughter Maddie steals the show, she’s a smart cute little girl whom Courtney falls in love with as well. I love this authors work and I adored this read. Check it out.

This is the first time in reading this author with one that I could sink into. Courtney and Lucas take you into this one giving you the romance fix you crave. The characters are the winners in this one that are used to draw you in with their lives then twist the faucets on your emotions. But it also has some road blocks that give the bumps that life provides at times that pulls you to the edge waiting to see how it will transpire. Being also a plus was that this one is a different kind of second chance romance.
