Revenge is never as sweet as the ability to find peace. The Honorable Olivia Beaumont, eldest daughter of Viscount Hereford, wants revenge. Following an ill-advised game of faro with a powerful duke, her father lost everything and then suffered a fatal heart attack. Now she wants that man to pay and suffer as much as her father did. But the only way she can do so is to enlist the help of the most … help of the most shunned man in the ton—the disgraced Duke of Skeffington. It matters not that he’s sinfully handsome, for she has a job to do.
Lewis Arthur Sexton is a duke beaten down. Stripped of everything following a manufactured scandal against the Regent, he now wishes to drown himself at the bottom of a bottle. But when Miss Beaumont pays him a visit with the insane idea of humiliating the man responsible for her pain and his, he might just return to society to honor the request. If he ignores her bewitching attitude and alluring looks, he’ll be fine.
Except the scheme is far from fully formed, and friendship grows between them as a distraction. While she fights for revenge, he secretly protects her while they both try to regain honor in the glittering world of the ton. Yet the moment their relationship transitions into romance, everything unravels. When lives are put into jeopardy, they’ll have to decide what they truly want, and if fortune is kind, it might prove to be a happily ever after.

Draped in Green ( Colors of Scandal Book 2 ). After reading the first book in this series I could not wait to read book 2. This book was amazing with great strong characters. I loved how Lady Olivia Beaumont and Lewis The Duke of Skeffington who were both robbed by the mean Duke of Kentworthy, seek revenge together and did not care a world what the “Ton” thought about their actions. Together they worked on getting their revenge while each losing a piece of their heart. Love scene was good. This book will not disappoint. I will be reading Book 3.
Happy Reading!
I enjoyed listening to this audiobook…start to finish! I felt for the characters & I loved the twist within the story. Sandra knows how to keep a listener/reader captive. the narrator did an exceptional job bringing each character to life. i want more!
I enjoyed this new “Colors of Scandal” Regency read. It’s nicely developed and well written with an intriguing plot. This is a fun read with love and vengeance. Olivia sets out for vengeance and enlists the help of Lewis. Both have been wronged and have nothing to lose. They are set on their path but a friendship forms and then more. This is a good story and I love how it unfolded.
Both the hero and heroine have been done wrong but the same execrable villain. She wants revenge. He’s drowning himself in brandy. When she convinces him to help her get even it gives him something to do besides wallow in self-pity. These two characters get away with a lot as their names are tarnished anyway. This is a fun and sweet tale of love and revenge. This might be part of a series but reads well as a standalone.
As the couple plan the revenge she so wants at any cost and along the way she brings him back from the depths of grief and despair. only to think they failed each other. hope, regrets, action, and love. Where love prevails against all odds and the heroes get their much deserved happily ever after

So very, very good!! I loved both of the MCs of Olivia and Lewis and the villain, the Duke of Kentworthy was a truly evil man and deserved to be brought down by whatever means necessary!! The storyline was well-written and each of the characters seemed to come alive! The saying goes that revenge is a dish best served cold. In this case, it was served with a side dish of true love and HEA!! Ms. Sookoo once again brings us a story that the reader can become completely lost and absorbed in and escape into a time long since passed while the modern world flows by unnoticed. That is why she is now one of my favorite authors!!

This is the second book in Ms. Sookoo’s Colors of Scandal series. I loved the first book and this one, too, did not disappoint! Olivia Beaumont, eldest daughter of Viscount Hereford, ultimately loses her father after a powerful duke challenges him to a game of faro. Her father loses everything and succumbs to a heart attack. Olivia wants revenge on the duke, but she will need help. She seeks out the help of Lewis, the Duke of Skeffington, who also lost everything when hit with a scandal. They start out as partners in a revenge plot, but fate has other ideas for them. Both Olivia and Lewis are strong characters and work well together. It was lovely to see their relationship grow into something more. The story flowed nicely, always keeping my interest with not a single lagging moment. The story was very well-written and I enjoyed it very much. I’m definitely looking forward to the next one!

Such a great villain in this piece.
They both want revenge Lewis and Olivia so working together sounds responsible they can both ignore their attraction to each other. Yet like all good revenge stories fate has something in store for these delightful characters. I enjoyed the book a great deal Kentworthy is such a great villain. Opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
There are some historical inaccuracies in this otherwise interesting and fast paced Regency Romance.. Revolvers were not invented until much later. Pistols were one shot flint locks or cap and ball. Olivia ,The main female character, goes about in public with the Duke of Skeffington with no chaperone!
The Honorable Olivia Beaumont, eldest daughter of Viscount Hereford, wants revenge. Following an ill-advised game of faro with the Duke of Kentworthy who thrives on power, her father lost everything and suffered a fatal heart attack a few days later, then the icing on the cake was when her mother died of a broken heart a few months later leaving Olivia & her younger sister Sarah almost destitute. Now she wants Kentworthy to pay and suffer as much as her father did. But the only way she can do so is to enlist the help of the most shunned man in the ton—the disgraced Duke of Skeffington. It matters not that he’s sinfully handsome, for she has a job to do. This is the second book in the series & is easily read on its own. Another well written book by the author strong characters with the good guys being lovely & the villain horrid. The story flowed well & never lagged. The revenge trope isn’t my favourite but I did enjoy this book & how Lewis & Olivia healed throughout the book, I also loved the chemistry between them & how their relationship developed. I also liked some of the secondary characters, especially Braxton – I’d love for him to have his story. I also loved that Olivia was in her thirties as was Lewis a welcome & refreshing change from simpering debutantes
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Enjoyed the story. It is well written and entertaining. Two families are destroyed by the actions of the Duke of Kentworthy and now someone wants revenge. Olivia seeks the help of Lewis, the Duke of Skeffington in her quest to get even with Kentworthy but did not expect to fall in love with Lewis. There is a HEA and eventually Kentworthy is brought down by an unexpected person. I would highly recommend this book as a great read.
