Constance Owens has a gift for finding unique items in the most unlikely places, which comes in handy since she buys and sells artifacts and antiques for a living. When she purchases a set of four dragon statues, she has no idea just how unique they are, or that finding them will thrust her into a world of secret societies, men who think nothing of kidnapping and murder to get what they want, and … and dragon shifters.
Nic hasn’t survived for four thousand years by letting his guard down, and he doesn’t trust anyone except his drakon brothers. The loneliness haunting him has been getting worse since all his brothers have found their mates. And when he finds the woman his drakon recognizes instantly as his fated mate, he doubts he’ll ever have what his brothers have, because it seems she’s involved with the secret society of hunters who have been hunting and capturing his kind for hundreds of years.

this is another great series , well worth reading them all I literally could
not put down the books
Another solid addition to this series. I liked the new twists and turns that the author took the overall plot and the immediate love story.
Really good action storyline with well-rounded characters and sex scenes so lengthy they get in the way of the romance and action. I’m now buying the sixth in the Drakon’s Blood series…and skip-reading through the looooog sex scenes.
I read this first book and then I had to read the others in this series. I have many others series by this author that I recommend, well I really think you should read all the books.
Loved it.
Could not put it down, another great addition to the series
I had to skip to the end cause the story was just so tedious. the characters were not too believable. Maybe a little less steamy sexual innuendo and a little more who they are as people and how they connect to each other other than sexual attraction
G NJ Walters does it again! I found myself flying through pages then trying to slow down at the end so the book wouldnt end so soon! Thank you for another awesome read I truely cant wait for the next one!
My Thoughts – 5 out of 5 Unicorns – I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I loved this book, so I bought it and the rest of the series to read!
The cover is beautiful and my favorite kind because it has both gorgeous beasts on the cover!
This is the 4th book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content. You can read the books out of order, but I suspect that if you read them in order that you will enjoy the series much more. I need to go back and read books 1 & 2.
I really love this world that N.J. has created. It is always action packed and full of twists and turns. This is Nic’s story. Wow, he has some emotional baggage that he has been carrying around for a long time that makes it hard to trust anyone but his brothers. Constance’s business is antiques, and she finds something special at an estate sale that turns her life upside down. I love her fierce loyalty. She will do anything for her sister. Both Constance and Nic get into trouble both physically and emotionally. This was a fabulous story that I couldn’t put down. She threw me for a loop with her plot twist in the end, and I love when you don’t see it coming.
N.J.’s writing is easy to be pulled into, and you won’t want to put it down. I need to read more of her books because I have a feeling that I will like them. I do own the Hades Carnival series, so I will have to read that series soon.
I highly recommend this book to any dragon lover (drakon if I want to be precise) who like action packed stories full of treachery, bad guys, and romance. I can’t wait to read more of N.J.’s work!
Nic has reached breaking point. He’s seriously considering taking an eternal sleep. He has tired of the world and his past is tangled in his present and he had a rather jaded view.
Constance has a very hand quirk, she can find very rare and unique artefacts. She is also a super protective sister and she would step in front of a bullet to keep her safe. but can she take on a Drakon?
Nic and Constance are instantly attracted to each other but both are lugging around a multitude of baggage! Whilst the road to love was rocky, you can tell that even though they have to work at it, they’ll be good together. I love the fact that the heroines aren’t just arm candy, they have talents all of their own and they don’t have to rely on the men to get them out of sticky situations.
We do learn a bit more about the Dragon Guard and the background of the story but the story arc itself doesn’t accelerate much. I’m hoping for the story to move on a bit in the next book. But otherwise a great read.
Intrigue. Betrayal. Action-packed.
Drakon’s Past is book four in the Blood of the Drakon series by N.J. Walters.
Nic, I liked him. He’s thinking about the eternal sleep and has lost interest in the world. If you have kept up with the series then you know that Nic has a very sad past and believes he was abound by the one person who is supposed to love and protect him unconditional. He’s not in a good place when Constance shows up in his life.
Constance has a gift for find unique artifacts that people leave behind. She’s also protective of her sister, her only family left, and will do anything to keep her safe.
The romance between Nic and Constance is ok. They both are attracted to each other at first meeting, but theirs too much at stack to give into that attraction. Even by the end I felt they still had things to work on; before their is true love.
One of the things I really like about this series is that the women who are mates to the Drakon all have some kind of unique ability. It’s captivating to learn about these abilities.
As for the storyline it moves forward, but not by much. We do learn a bit about the Dragon Guard and get the sense their maybe more information still to come. Their’s bad guys, magic, action and mating. What I loved most about this one was the surprise we get about Nic’s past. What he thought was true, wasn’t and this knowledge sets him free and brings someone new into his life; besides Constance.
I’m curious to see where this series goes from here. Will we meet more drakon’s? More bothers fighting back against the Knights of the Dragon? Who’s in the Dragon Guard? Lots of questions and possibilities.
Drakon’s Past was another astonishing and delightful read.

Constance Owens is an antique dealer. She has a talent for finding really special items, like the four dragon statues she discovered at the latest estate sale. There is something about them that makes her want to keep them close. So that means she must sell them quickly before she can’t let them go.
When one of his contacts tells him of a beautiful dragon statue for sale Nicodemus Wilde knows he must have it at any cost. He doesn’t realize just what it could cost him.
Our hero is a drakon, son of a dragon male and a human woman. He and his brothers are in danger from an organization that would imprison them if they could.
Our heroine is a brave young woman who just wants to protect her sister.
This is a sexy, all action story with great characters and lots of emotion. It’s part of a series that is better read in order because of the back story with the enemies. But you can easily enjoy any one of them on their own.
I have loved each one. Very exciting.
Constance and her sister Abigail are antique dealers so when Constance finds a box with four dragon statues and a necklace she knows she has something worth a lot. When she brings it her grandfathers friend Mario he contacts two buyers knowing that they would both be interested. Constance doesn’t tell anyone she has four statues not even Nic who is one of the men contacted but the other man takes her sister convinced she must have all four. When Nic sets eyes on Constance his dragon knows she is his mate but Nic doesn’t trust anyone except his brothers. When Constance decides she is gonna turn Nic over to the kidnappers she is going to do and save Nic later. This story is sweet and dangerous and Constance is fearless but loving, but is it enough to save Nic.

If there is one thing I love, its dragons and all the fire that goes with them and this book has lots of beautiful fire. Nic is one hot dragon and the sparks that fly between Nic and Constance are sizzling hot. The characters are strong and charismatic, drawing readers into their story of a romance that is full of emotional turbulence that keeps this romance on rocky ground throughout.
Anticipation builds keeping readers on edge as a dangerous enemy threatens Nic and Constance with some mysterious magical artifacts. The story is chock full of suspense and surprising twists that ensure readers want to know every last detail.
N.J. Walters brings exciting words to life with vivid well written worlds and her worlds are always filled with vibrant, captivating characters and Blood of the Drakon is definitely one of my favorites as her world of Dragons has some unique qualities that makes it a bit different from others. Drakon’s Past had me completely spellbound from beginning to end and I am looking forward to reading the next book by N.J. Walters.
