This is a great book.
I read free books on Kindle. Since I paid nothing for them, if a book doesn’t grab me in the first couple of chapters, it’s deleted into the ethereal. This book grabbed me. The action is good, the knowledge of the Navy is good, and the premise is good.
If you are a historian and like the story of Bourke’s Drift, you’ll like this book.
I just paid (I know, I’m shocked, too) for the second of this series.
An interesting military sci fi read, but also predictable.
Humans meet the first aliens after the aliens attack. The ensuing battles seemed a little to simplistic. Seemed like known battles translated to the future without taking enough technology changes into account… Not enough character development.
Formulaic, predictable
I found it be very entertaining. I found myself feeling for the characters and involved in their story. Realistic emotions and the confusion that attends them. Very well done!
This is an excellent science fiction book for teens.
Easy read, and I kept going till the end to see how the action will unfold. However, the author’s view of women is very old fashioned, and the romance aspects was pretty bad.
