The first in a new sexy romance series from bestselling author Chantal Fernando about the bad boys of the Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club and the women who fall in love with them. When I found my boyfriend cheating on me, I did something stupid. Or should I say, someone? Because of that mistake, I’m now stuck in a world I don’t belong in. I’m a law student. They’re criminals. He’s the vice … student. They’re criminals. He’s the vice president of a motorcycle club. I’m a good girl with a strict upbringing. He’s my ex-boyfriend’s brother.
And I’m screwed.more
My cherry popper by Chantal and it was an emotional angstfest filled to the brim with heartbreak, revenge sex and so much more.
Dex “sin” is a biker and Faye has always crushed on him since she was a teen. But somehow ends up with his brother Erik. And what a douchebag HE turns out to be.
Shows you perception is a bitch!!
“Hey we both got what we wanted”
. “How so?”
“You got revenge on my brother, isn’t that what you wanted? A taste of wild?”
Twists and turns like you’d never believe and ultimate gift was seeing the heroine take charge of her life and rise up to the occasion. The narration was perfect, Eva Christensen put so many modulation and and her pitch was so perfect, it enhanced the story.
It’s an edgy, gritty story with enough heat and passion as the pipes are loud
4 stars for Arrow
I didn’t want it to end.
The chemistry between the characters, the storyline.
I will be reading ( well listening on audible) to the next book.
Highly suggest- it is not as rough and tumble as some of the Mc books I have read, but still has roughness
I’m shockingly surprised that I enjoyed this one. Most biker romances aren’t very good, in my opinion. But this is one of the exceptions.
I really enjoyed the romance and the plot. The characters were great, too. The male lead was hot. Everything that is necessary for me to enjoy a book. Even the narrator was pretty dang good.
My online issue is the: there’s very poor justification for a ‘good girl’ to agree to be with someone who is a criminal. She just accepts it because of love and that’s just not enough. Not when this MC runs drugs and kills people. No one would compromise their ethics THAT much for love, mostly because it would be hard to love someone who participates in the drug trade OR kills people. Kristen Ashley is one of the few MC series that actually does this VERY well where the bikers in that series are mostly good outlaws so the female leads only have to deal with past criminal activities and outlaws with their own justice.
In this one, they’re straight up outlaws with no moral reasoning for what they do, which makes it hard to justify having decent women fall in love with them. It just doesn’t make sense. This is exactly the reason I don’t usually read biker romances.
Otherwise, it was entertaining, fun and kept me enthralled throughout the entire book.
I loved Faye and Dex. They were so right for each other but yet different enough that it changed both of them.
I absolutely loved the character of Faye. She was so strong and not wanting to give up herself for Dex and the club but yet when you love the man, you love the club.
I thought it was an interesting twist with Dex’s brother and Faye and the motivation both Faye and Dex had that first night together.
Who wants a bad boy biker? Me! That’s who!
When I first read the description, I was a bit skeptical I would enjoy this kind of read… well, I really liked it. I normally stick to the paranormal romance genre when listening/reading books. But I fell in love with the characters, and although Sin might be a bad boy biker, he has a hidden heart of gold. He was the kind of man I can fall for, even if I wish he was a bit darker. Faye was a fantastic female character. She had enough of a backbone to end a relationship that wasn’t doing anything for her. She isn’t the type to be a victim. Instead, she heads out and moves on with her life. And even though she ends up pregnant, she doesn’t let it stand in her way of getting a college degree. An empowered woman. Loved it!
I’m hoping Irish will have his own story, because he sounds like my kind of man. Can’t wait to continue with the series!

This is my first book by Chantal and I am hooked. I cannot believe I waited this long to read her books. The plot was amazing. The story was beautiful. The characters were out of this world & I loved the banter and the back-and-forth between all the characters. I’m getting ready to dive into her second book. Amazing narration.
This is the first book I have read by Chantal Fernando, I was not disappointed. I am now a fan. Dex aka Sin and Faye are incredibly adorable together. I enjoyed every moment of this story.
I just love me some motorcycle romances. Chantal really does a fabulous job with her MC romances. I recently read and loved her other MC book called Ace of Hearts. You can check out my review here. I enjoyed it so much that I immediately checked out her other books and found this one. Sadly my library doesn’t have these and I had to get the first one through Interloan. May end up just buying this series from Amazon because I really enjoyed it.
This action packed story is about Faye and Dexter aka Dex. They grew up side by side and have been friends pretty much their entire lives. Even with a 5 year age gap, these two had a bond from the get go. The flashback scenes were the cutest. I can just imagine this big, bad biker having a tea party when he was younger just because his sweet, little neighbor asked him too. Dex always looked out for Faye so of course, she developed a crush for her older friend. How could she not?
For the most part I enjoyed everything about this book. There were a few things that I didn’t like though. For example, one of the MC members pushed a drunk woman and she fell. I just don’t condone that behavior whatsoever. I don’t care how belligerent she was or wasn’t acting, there’s just some things you don’t do. I also felt Faye was pretty flirty with the other guys. It seemed she was always making certain comments, touching them, or just overall sending the wrong message at times. I honestly could’ve seen her ending up with another one of the guys because of their connection.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I read it pretty much in one day because I just couldn’t put it down. I felt a connection to each of the characters and I know my jaw fell open several times while reading this. I cannot wait to get my hands on the others in this series and hope they are just as great.
It’s an interesting story. I like the plot. A one night stand leads a lady to a life with her childhood crush who just happens to be an outlaw MC VP
There is potential but everything gets glossed over. Big plot points get barely a paragraph. The intensity and excitement that could be explored are barely mentioned.
Some plot points seem inconsequential. This huge thing happens but it’s fine it’s cool let’s talk about lotion some more…

Dragon’s Lair is the first book in the Wind Dragon’s series and my first book by Chantal Fernando. I was hooked from the prologue and couldn’t wait to finish the book.
Dexter Black: Wind Dragon’s VP, sexy, gorgeous, intense, protective, loyal, confident and totally bad boy alpha male. Faye: Beautiful, sassy, feisty, intelligent, stubborn and fiercely independent.
Faye catches her longtime boyfriend cheating and severs the ties immediately. Looking for spontaneous fun, she runs into her childhood crush, Dex, and enjoys a one night stand which results in a pregnancy.
Fernando takes us through the chase and challenges with a multi-dimensional and complex storyline. It was suspenseful, humorous, playful, intense, and at times heartbreaking and violent.
Additionally, there were multiple plots working simultaneously and at times it was confusing. Some of the stories appear to be continuing throughout the series as common threads throughout the various storylines; however, some appear Dex and Faye specific that seem to have loose ends. Hopefully future books in the series can include them all for a cohesive resolution.
All in all, it was a great read. Fernando set the stage well for the entire series and gave depth to an intriguing supporting cast of characters. Teasers were included that promised many successful books to keep the series going for awhile. Next up is Arrow.
I loved it!
Shameful I haven’t read this sooner. It’s been sitting in my kindle for far too long.
I just LOVED Faye. Her personality was the strongest in the story. She was bold and sassy, feisty and inquisitive. You’d think the big bad bikers would be annoyed with all that, but it was the complete opposite. She became a treasure to the club. Their little sister to help protect and care for when Dax wasn’t around. And after wiggling her way into their lives, she was someone they needed around. She cared for them and filled her role as old lady quite naturally.
Dex Black was HOT and sweet and had all kinds of bad boy vibes that just made him all that more sexy. He was a perfect blend of biker and boy next door. At least that’s the side that Faye got to see. To everyone else, he wasn’t someone whose bad side you wanted to see.
And the rest of the brothers in this club??? I can’t wait to learn more about them. Their personalities added humor as well as depth to the Wind Dragon MC clubhouse.
Loved it! One of the best MC books I’ve read recently. Storyline was well written, engaging, gritty and so dang hot and at times had me laughing out loud. Loved Dex (Sin), Rake, Arrow, and rest of the MC club. Loved the chemistry between Dex and Faye, how he is all badass & protective of her. Would definitely recommend as a must read.
