Book #3, Blood Prophecy series. Lili Zander and Rory Reynolds’ world of dragons and magic is the embodiment of enchantment!
SPOILER ALERT: THIS IS BOOK #3 IN THE BLOOD PROPHECY SERIES. IF YOU HAVEN’T READ BOOK #1 (DRAGON’S THIEF) AND BOOK #2 (DRAGON’S CURSE), THIS REVIEW WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS.
When last we left Aria, betrayal and perfidy had reared their ugly heads. Pete is dead. Silas is devastated. While Aria and her mates know exactly who’s to blame, it seems nothing can be done. But there are far bigger problems on the horizon. A curse by Gideon Zyrian, the Dark Dragon, has drained magic from the world for centuries. As if that wasn’t enough, he’s finally ready to take his revenge on the dragon princes. Why? Hatred, revenge, sheer insanity…take your pick. When Zyrian comes after the dragon princes’ most precious possession, even their might and magic may not enough. But there are surprises waiting in the wings. Aria’s already shown she’s no ordinary Norm. Just who is she? Maybe the better question is what is she? With her past shrouded in mystery and no answers to be found, Zyrian’s attacks grow bolder. Desperation leads Aria and her mates to Castle Jaeger where the past and the future collide with explosive revelations. Is Aria the key? Or is this all some ruse by Zyrian to drive a wedge between the dragons and their mate, to destroy them once and for all? One thing is clear. If Aria, her mates, Silas, and her friends are to survive the curse, if there’s any chance to save the dwindling magic, somehow, some way, Zyrian must be stopped. The question is, can he be?
All I can say is WOW! Lili Zander and Rory Reynolds have again struck gold! Their talent for creating a magical world hidden within plain sight is genius! This is another quick read, but it’s captivating on every level. Lili Zander and Rory Reynolds’ ingenuity is unlimited. Ms. Zander and Ms. Reynolds excel at keeping the mystery, danger, complex storyline, and incredible relationships between Aria, the dragon princes, Bea, Silas, and even Zyrian and his minions compelling and enthralling. Aria’s still conflicted. She’s pulled in so many directions, has so many loyalties, feels so much for so many people. She’s a contrast in extremes, at times very much to her detriment. Silas remains integral to Aria’s very survival. Bastian, Casius, Rhys, Mateo, and Erik are so unpredictable. The mercurial relationship between Aria and her mates isn’t just hot and steamy. It’s as complex and ever-changing as the dragon princes themselves. The entire story is enchanting and captivating. Again, fair warning. As with the first two books, this also ends with a cliffhanger. And, again, the sequel is already available for preorder on Amazon so you won’t have to wait long for the next installment. Lili Zander and Rory Reynolds are brilliant! This book, this series, is riveting. If you love sci-fi, magic, shifters, and erotic romance, you couldn’t ask for more. Congratulations, Ms. Zander and Ms. Reynolds! You’ve done an awesome job! I can’t give this book anything less than five stars.
One final note. Be an informed reader! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don’t enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and Amazon. Use these resources. DON’T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON’T ENJOY THE BOOK. It’s not fair to the authors. They work very hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you’ll object to the book’s subject matter before you buy it, you’re doing yourself and the authors an extreme disservice.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
This is the third book of the series. They are quick reads since they are set up as serials and will eventually be set up as a boxset, I think. But, I can’t wait that long to read them. I look forward to each one and am sad when it’s done because it’s done and I’ve read it.
I’m loving all the secrets that are being revealed. I’m also enjoying watching Aria and the relationships that she’s developing with each of her 5 dragon prince mates. Each of them has a distinct personality and she can’t have the same kind of relationship with Mateo as she does with Eric. The dynamics are fascinating to watch, and I look forward to seeing what happens in the next book.
