more
Spencer feels trapped by his great-granddad’s will and he’s determined to do things his way but not at the expense of his inheritance. The book takes a humorous look at an emotionally challenged male & a naive young woman. The woman actually appears more mature than the male does at times.
Brick Heart…..
I can tell I’m going to love this knew series, I love those that bring fated mates together….Now I need one to find me a billionaire….LoL
Mina L’Amour is waiting for true love, but that won’t pay the bills, on a dare from her BFF she decides to sign up to be what she calls a trophy wife, only she never counted on falling for the hot workaholic Dragon Billionaire she’s married to… No matter how hard she tries, there’s no breaking through that brick heart of Spencer Camden’s.
She was only supposed to be a means to an end, but she is starting to really get in little by little and that bothers Spencer. He was raised to not let love in his heart, only love for business and making more. How can a slip of a girl with no formality at all tear down a lifetime of training?
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest
The characters + storytelling were very captivating
This was such a charming read.
Love always find a way.
The storytelling + the character’s build were awesome!
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
Fun enjoyable and entertaining read. No real drama occurred but that didn’t take away from the story. The only issue I had was I found the ending wrapped up way to quickly. Spencer was a major jerk through the whole book and Mina had the patient of a saint she forgave Spencer so fast. I was hoping she was going to make him suffer. I guess true love can conquer all. Overall a good read. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Oh, the walls we build, sometimes, even without our conscience kicking in. Spencer has had his life planned out for himself since he was a child, and it certainly didn’t include a significant other of any kind. But his recently deceased grandfather, a man he not only loved, but respected, who taught him everything he knows, has thrown him for a loop. A really tight one at that. Not only does he have to find a woman, but he has to marry her too! In less than a month! Had he fallen off his rocker before he died? Mina is a true romantic, holding out for “the one” who will be able to love her as much as she needs to be loved. But, her career is in the dumps, nobody willing to take her on as a romance author, with her future looking pretty grim at this point. So, on a dare of sorts, she signs up to marry a billionaire. Through a mate-maker no less! Who would have ever thought? But will this one chance be her forever happy? Or will these two simply try their best to last a year?
A wonderful, quirky tale that will have you in stitches at times and tears in others. I absolutely loved this book and am looking forward to more from the greatly talented Scarlett Grove. This series promises to be captivating, carving a niche in our hearts, leaving us looking for more characters and not wanting to leave these ones behind. Loved it!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion.
Spencer Camden, billionaire dragon shifter, was taught to avoid weakness and direct his passion to his business, but in a twist of heart his grandfather had forced his hand and driven him to a path that had him confused and yearning. Mina L’ Amour, a romance novel writer, wanted love and passion in her life, but waiting for Mr. Right, when you are trying to survive each day, seemed far away. Acting on what she hoped were a good business que discovered that she still wanted Mr. Right. A smart, sassy and direct woman that made me laugh with her spark. Liked Mina’s character and I think that Spencer’s dragon was smarter than him. Entertaining, amusing story with a hero that needed to open his eyes.
As always this a wonderfully well written book by Scarlett Groves. Spencer is a Dragon shifter who is forced kicking and screaming into getting mates or he won’t inherited his grandfather’s company. Mina is a writer who need who need to learn what love and passion are. Mina is ready to love Spencer but his is a bit of an ass and it takes him almost losing her to learn what’s
Important in life
Spencer buried his grandfather and learned the business he’d made even more successful would be taken from him if he didn’t meet the condition. Find a bride in thirty (make that twenty-five) days. For a man consumed with his business, this was more than a shock. Yet, he couldn’t avoid it.
Mina wanted a different life. She wanted to be a romance writer. As a virgin, she felt she lacked knowledge and experience not to mention time to write. She worked many hours to simply support herself. When her friend suggested a shifter mating site she reluctantly agreed.
A perfect match–as long as you didn’t need love in the mix.
I love Mina who can be a bit snarky, yet charms everyone around her. Unlike his fears, she is an asset to his business. I did have a problem with his coldness. I would like to have seen a little more softening to keep her interest earlier in the story.
You have a billionaire dragon shifter and a waitress/would be romance novelist who venture into an unorthodox marriage via a dating agency matchmaker.
When Spencer buried his grandfather, he learned that the business he’d made successful would be taken from him if he didn’t meet the conditions of his grandfathers will. Find a bride in thirty (make that twenty-five) days. Then you have Mina. She wants to be a romance writer but as a virgin, she feels that she lacks knowledge and experience to be able to write. These two are a perfect match–as long as you don’t need love in the mix even though they do find it in the end..
I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
Enjoyable enough but pretty much the same as every other book with the same plot line.
Told from both POV. I must say I could understand Mina wanting a better life and the chance to write but I could find no redeeming qualities about Spencer. His childhood wasn’t great but it wasn’t horrible either and shouldn’t have shaped his view so singularly once he became a thinking adult. For all that he was smart in business he wasn’t a nice person. Not quite sure how he could be so cold being that he was a dragon.
His dragon seemed more likeable and in tune with himself but we never got to meet him.
Apart from a few mentions about him having to keep a tight rein on his inner beast there really wasn’t much to do with shifting and Mina asks no questions.
Maybe if his dragon busted a scale more often Spencer might have been nicer.
Found the ending wrapped up way to quickly with the obligatory HEA but still felt no connection between them.
This is my honest review of this book.
Mine L’Amour is an aspiring romance author, but publishers haven’t shown any interest in her manuscripts. Spencer Camden is a billionaire Dragon shifter that needs of a wife, in a hurry. Mine and Spencer both go to Billionaire Match-Maker hoping to find a match. Funny and sweet characters get a happily ever after. Interesting plot with a twist. Fantastic book, loved it!
