Book #2, Blood Prophecy series. Lili Zander and Rory Reynolds weave a tapestry of enchantment that will leave you wanting more!
SPOILER ALERT: THIS IS BOOK #2 IN THE BLOOD PROPHECY SERIES. IF YOU HAVEN’T READ BOOK #1, DRAGON’S THIEF, THIS REVIEW WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS.
Aria’s succeeded where no one else has. A Norm getting into the Valhalla Ball past dragon security? Breaking into the Dragon Princes’ safe? Easy, right? But maybe it’s all just a little TOO easy. When the five princes seemingly appear out of nowhere, Aria’s terrified, rightfully so. Any one of these five could turn her to toast in the blink of an eye. So why haven’t they? When Aria starts hearing voices in her head, their voices, she begins to question her sanity. And they’re saying she’s theirs? Huh? Despite all this, she still has a job to do if she’s going to save Silas. She may feel an emotional and physical attraction to the princes, but she knows nothing about them. She’s certainly not about to trust them. But there are forces at play of which none of them are aware. When Aria finds herself in mortal danger time and again, a pattern begins to emerge. It’s all a little too coincidental. But the attacks have an unforeseen side effect, one that’s both terrifying and thrilling. As Aria begins to see the princes for who and what they really are, she’s torn in so many ways. There’s Silas to consider. Her best friend, Bea, is now also at risk. Other Norms are dying. Can she be selfish and just abandon the people she cares for the most for some so-called prophecy that might…or might not…save the shifters and all the magic in the world? Is it worth it? And is she truly what the dragons believe her to be? As circumstances conspire to push Aria in multiple directions at once, she’ll have to make up her mind. What’s more important? Saving her family and friends or maybe saving the entire world?
This second book in the Blood Prophecy series is even better than the first! Lili Zander and Rory Reynolds have a unique talent for creating magic unlike any other. I again flew through this book. It’s another quick read but the creativity and ingenuity these two authors have created is off the charts. There’s nothing not to love about this story. Aria’s loyal, conflicted, uncertain, mystified, and absolutely terrified. Silas is far from helpless. Despite his illness and the challenges facing him, his strength is surprising. Bastian, Casius, Rhys, Mateo, and Erik are focused, demanding, the very epitome of dominant shifter males who know how to push each others buttons. (They should after living together for centuries!) The entire story is enchanting and captivating. I was surprised when I finished so quickly. Again, fair warning. As with the first book, this one also ends with a massive cliffhanger! However, the sequel is already available for preorder on Amazon, and you won’t have to wait long for the next installment. Lili Zander and Rory Reynolds are mistresses of this genre. This book, and the series, is riveting. If you love sci-fi, magic, shifters, and erotic romance, you couldn’t ask for a better story. Congratulations, Ms. Zander and Ms. Reynolds! You’ve done a magnificent job! I can’t give this book anything less than five stars.
One final note. Be an informed reader! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don’t enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and Amazon. Use these resources. DON’T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON’T ENJOY THE BOOK. It’s not fair to the authors. They work very hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you’ll object to the book’s subject matter before you buy it, you’re doing yourself and the authors an extreme disservice.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
