Brianne Ellison was ready to quit her job as the assistant to Valerie Steele, an actress with a big ego and an even bigger mean streak. But then Brianne saw Callin McKenzie, Valerie’s co-star.
Brianne knew she wouldn’t be going anywhere—not while Callin was looking at her in that way that set her soul on fire.
Brianne has a problem, though. Valerie wants Callin for herself, and as the alpha … alpha dragon of District 106, Valerie is used to getting her own way.
How far will Valerie go to stop Brianne from being with Callin? And will Callin save Brianne and free the pack from Valerie’s cruel clutches before it’s too late?

Have you been following Lola Gabriel’s “Sanmere Shifters” series? If you haven’t then you have no idea how important the Sanmere gene is. If you have, then you know there is bound to be action, drama, angst, and instant attraction/love with a human. What you don’t know is Collin was to be Alpha of the clutch when his parents died but since he was so young, Valerie temporarily took the position and Collin is okay with that. Actually, he’s more interested in his acting career anyway. Oh, did I mention Valerie is an actress? As with most villains, power goes to Valerie’s head and she wants to become permanent Alpha trying to convince Collin to take her as his mate. What she doesn’t plan on is Collin’s reaction when he meets her assistant Briane. There’s instant chemistry there! Yep, you guessed it. Briane is human with the Sanmere gene. This was a page-turner waiting to see what would happen next and whether or not Collin would actually take a stand and become Alpha or not. And what was Briane’s reaction to all of this? You really don’t want to miss this one.

He is determined to hold out for his mate, she knows what he is. Will he be able to rescue her in time?
I loved how he was determined to not follow what the others wanted and to do what he knew was right. I loved how despite what she had to deal with on a daily basis, she showed strength. Steamy read!
The story is fairly typical for the genre
Dragon meets girl and everything that happens between them
The antagonist is hateable but you don’t get any depth from her she’s just hateful to further plot this is because of POV never includes her
The two protagonists are almost complete but not quite
The writing is engaging and keep you interested, the ending is a bit fast pased and the complication twist is obvious and easily resolved
Other than that the book is worth the read

Brianne is tired of her job nothing she does is ever right by her boss Valerie. Valerie is in the middle of yelling at her for yet another thing she didn’t do up to Valerie’s standards when Callin walks in. Callin is stunned by Brianne and knows when he sees her that she is his. Callin has been happy just acting and leaving Valerie being the alpha for the pack but when she starts butting into his life that’s where he draws the line. He has no intention of being with Valerie like she wants especially when he has found Brianne and wants her. So when Valerie learns of their connection she will do whatever she needs to in order to keep them apart. What will Callin do when Valerie gets rid of Brianne? Will he be able to find her in time? What will they do to Valerie?
This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

It was time for Callin to take over the clutch but Valerie didn’t want to give up the alpha position. Plus she wanted Callin as her mate. But when Callin met Valerie’s assistant Brianne, he knew that she was his mate even though she was human. Luckily she had the sandmere gene and could be turned into a shifter. But the journey to their HEA was filled with all kinds of roadblocks because of Valerie. Interesting and fun

Valerie was only suppose to be the dragon alpha until Callin, the old alpha’s son, became of age. Callin has sorta drifted until he sees his mate in Brianne. Valerie wants Callin and doesn’t want to give up her power. Valerie is vicious and will do anything to keep Callin and Brianne away from each other. Will Callin and Brianne defeat the evil Valerie? Great story. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Book three in the series brings Brianne and Callin’s story. The author once again brings strong characters with a hot chemistry and weaves an interesting paranormal romance. She does a great job bringing in supporting characters and building the story , moving it quickly and smoothly and painting her scenes in vivid detail. It’s an intriguing read that had me hooked from start to finish.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Dragon’s Clutch is the third book in Lola Gabriel’s Sanmere Shifters series. This series of quick reads are stand alone stories that are linked by “Matchmakers” and heroines that have the Sanmere Protein in their blood that allows them to safely be changed into shifters. Brianne and Callin’s story was spicy (Mature Readers Only) and entertaining… Not your typical dragon story. Lola Gabriel continues to deliver action packed stories that have strong emotional appeal and sexy characters.
The Lightening Bolt! Callin, was the Alpha heir of the dragon clan. He preferred pursuing his acting career, leaving Alpha up to Valerie. She took the job as temporary Alpha, but she like the power and finds excuses to keep the title. She tries to pursuade Callin to mate with her, then she can keep the job and not worry about Callin taking Alpha. Callin is content leaving Valerie as Alpha so he can enjoy the freedom of his acting career. He doesn’t want the responsibility of the pack on his shoulders. Lucien, the man who saved him after his parents were killed was also his best friend and his mentor. Lucien believes he woudl make a better Alpha than Valerie, but respects his choices. Brianne is Valerie’s assistant and considers quitting several times a day because Valerie treats her so badly. Valerie, has let her power go to her head. When Brianne and Callin first met, it was like the Lightening Bolt hit. They were irresistible to each other. When Valerie realized the attraction, she made her move. Nice story. I was gripping my Kindle so hard, I cramped out! Good story. I was rooting for Brianne. Callin was nice, but he made too many excuses so he could avoid responsibility. Does Valerie keep Alpha? Does Brianne go all in? Do Valerie and Callin have to fight to the death? Nice story! I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
An entertaining paranormal romance read! I loved Callin and Brianne’s character, a dragon shifter and a human. She works as an assistant for the pack leader and when they first meet their connection is instant. There’s enough drama and a whole lot of heat to make for an enjoyable story. This was my first read of the series and author work and it did not disappoint.
When his parents died, dragon shifter Callin McKenzie had technically become the “alpha” of his dragon pack when he was a child. Because of his youth, Valerie Steel was given the temporary alpha position until he came of age.
Now that Callin is an adult, Valerie wants to make her position permanent by taking Callin as her mate. Callin, however, wants nothing to do with her. When he meets Valerie’s assistant, Brianne, he knows that she is his mate. But can he protect her from Valerie who will viciously fight to keep her power, regardless what she has to do?
This was a good story, well-paced and with a bit of tension to keep the reader fully invested in the story. The characters were well-portrayed and interesting. Grab your copy and see what lengths Valerie will go to in order to retain her power!
A good story. I liked the way Lucian took the choice away from Valerie. Also the way Callin wanted help with making the Matchmaker leave. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
A wonderful short story, well written with great characters and storyline. This story is about Callin, a dragon shifter and Brianne, an assistant working for Valerie the pack leader of the dragon shifters. Callin should be the leader once came of age but, Valerie does not want to step down. She wants to mate him to keep the power she has. Callin only has eyes for Brianne his mate. Valerie will do anything to have Callin for herself. What will happen to Brianne and Callin?

Brianne falls for Callin but Valerie her boss and alpha dragon of district 106 wants him as her mate.
Brianne Ellison works for Valerie Steele due to a promise made by her grandmother and is the third generation to do so. She is currently working as assistant to Valerie who is a movie star but she constantly verbally abused and considers resigning. Callin MacKenzie had been a child when his parents were murdered and he was considered too young to take over his father’s role as alpha dragon of district 106 so they choose Valerie the oldest of them to be temporary Alpha until Callin turns twenty- one but that time had past years ago and so far Callin has not wanted to be alpha. When Callin meets Brianne his dragon stirs and shows she is his mate but he knows Valerie wants him as her mate to keep control and the power of alpha.

Dragon Clutch is book three in the Sanmere Shifters series and is an intriguing story about a dragon shifter who lost his alpha parents when he was a child. The author has created a captivating world with shifters, humans and so many more interesting characters. The writing is great, the characters are well developed and interesting. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
This is one book that while full of drama was so well done that it wasn’t even frustrating! I loved the storyline and thought this the best one in the series.
