There is a legend that when a dragon finds her true mate, she comes to life. For Natalie, that sounds like a bunch of baloney. She’s been a part of the Fablestone Clan for as long as she can remember, but she’s never met anyone who even sort of makes her feel alive. When a freak storm leaves her stranded in the mountains with no way to get home, she’s forced to seek refuge in a strange cave.Only … cave.
Only the cave isn’t empty, and the occupant isn’t exactly happy to see her.
Donald doesn’t want a pesky little human rummaging around in his treasure. He’s taken years to build this home for himself. It’s far away from prying eyes: just the way he likes it. When Natalie tells him her true reason for leaving Fablestone, though, Donald knows he has no choice but to return to his home.
Fablestone needs him, and he could be their only hope.

Natalie is a human that was raised by dragons and she is helping with the care of the dragons rescued from Lucky in the first book, but they are falling ill and whatever they have is spreading to the other dragons It doesn’t take long to realise that they where allowed to rescue them to introduce this disease to the clan There is only one person/dragon who can help He is a dragon shifter doctor named Donald and he and Natalie have history. She sets out to find him to bring him back to help the calm. She is injured searching for him but actually stumbles into the cave he lives in he doesn’t recognise her at first because this beautiful woman doesn’t resemble the lanky girl he remembers. Can he cure the disease affecting the clan and will he and Natalie get a chance at love You will have to read to see

Ten years ago, the Fablestone Clan lost their doctor when he failed to save a patient, a child, and felt too guilty to remain with his people. He writes to his mother each year from Storm Dawn on the other side of the mountains, but no one really knows where he is.
When the dragons rescued the shifters who had been kidnapped and experimented on at the Lucky facility, they were ill. The virus that the scientists released in them is spreading to others in the Clan with no apparent cure available. It is likewise affecting Clan Thunderstorm and they have not been able to save their dragons either.
As Natalie, sister of the child the Clan’s doctor had been unable to save, tries to find Donald to help the dragons, a freak storm leaves her stranded in the mountains and unable to get home. She goes into a strange cave to get out of the storm – but the cave isn’t empty. As luck would have it, she has stumbled into Donald’s cave! When Natalie tells Donald about the virus killing off the Clan, he feels he cannot refuse to help her. The two of them go together to find a plant on Dragon Isle that could hopefully cure the dragons of the deadly virus. Will it be too late? Will they save the stricken Clan? Is there a chance that they could be mates?
This was an exciting book filled with fast-action, a touch of mystery, and a possible romance. At first Donald was not pleased when Natalie shows up at his cave, but when she tells him that the dragons are dying, he knows he needs to return to them, especially because it is Natalie asking him for his help. Can he refuse her? Grab your copy and enjoy this well-written follow-up to Book 1. I get the feeling these stories are going to get better and better as they go along and the reader learns to care about this group of shifters hidden away in the forest!

Older shifter, younger human. Natalie is a human who was adopted into the Fablestone clan when she was young. Now an unknown virus is infecting the clan and many are on deaths door. She needs to find Donald, a young doctor who left 10 years ago. When he left the clan he was hurting because of his inability to save her little brother. Now she must convince him to return and save his people. And he might just be her mate. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDING!!!
Sizzling! Sophie stirs one chaotic mix that’s as thrilling as it is riveting with all the shenanigans and mayhem melding this baby together seamlessly. She pulls all the emotions you feel and intensifies them through you, front and center, with what feels like gale force winds steadily battering against our heart and soul. Twixt and twined and put through the wringer with a plethora of events that bring this bad boy roaring to life flawlessly. This little jewel is as riveting as it is captivating. Drama, intrigue, grief, distress, turmoil, danger and suspense hooks you from the start and reels you in for the duration. Yeah! It doesn’t get any better than this. The chemistry is intense, white hot and explosive. The characters are authentic and realistic with depth and individuality it feels like you can just reach out and touch them. The scenes are so graphically detailed and descriptive it’s like being transported to ground zero with them. Remarkable job Sophie, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
With a virus causing havoc in the Fablestone Clan, Natalie knows that she is the only one that can track down Donald, the doctor, and convince him to return to the clan. Donald left the clan ten years ago after not being able to save the life of Natalie’s brother. He is not sure he can ever return, but he cannot deny Natalie.
