A dragon does not ask. He takes. When Bridget set out on her own, she sought freedom from the strict rules of her pack. What she found was a beast more stern and demanding than any alpha wolf, a creature of legend intent on claiming her as his mate and breeding her to bring his kind back into the world. A dragon.Gideon did not ask the little she-wolf if she wanted to belong to him. It was not up … belong to him. It was not up to her. The moment he awoke and smelled the scent of his mate, she became his. He tracked her down, punished her defiance, and then ravaged her until a thousand years of lust was fully slaked.
He did not mark her with his teeth like a wolf. He did not need to. Her body knows its master.
Publisher’s Note: Dragonlord is a stand-alone novel set in the same world as Warlord, Overlord, and Wolflord. It includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

A Dark Shifter Romance that is well written, this Author has put out a story that kept me turning pages I was not putting the book down until I finished reading. It felt like I was there watching things unfold. I enjoyed reading Bridget and Gideon’s story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Another great story by Delta James. Bridget is a no nonsense kick-ass heroine that’s sick to death of all the strict rules of the wolves. While looking for her freedom she finds something stricter than an alpha wolf which is a dragon. Gideon is a strong hero that doesn’t ask if she’ll be his mate he just takes her. Wow, the interaction between the two was phenomenal. There is adventure, romance and steamy hot sex. A definite page turner. Looking forward to the next book. AMAZING! A fantastic, well written read. An intense storyline that holds your attention as you get caught up in the fierce twists and hot chemistry. Plenty of excitement and emotionally heartfelt. A thrilling must read.

This is a great story. It is so very unique and creative. A dragon and a wolf, who would have thought? Gideon is dominant and caring. But he is a dragon and dragons don’t ask. Bridget is quite strong willed in her own right. The sparks that fly from these two is just explosive. I really liked the ending. Hoping we will get the remaining dragon’s stories.
If you’re looking for a light and airy paranormal romance, let me just stop you now because you’re not going to find it here. Delta James’ paranormal romance are on the darker side. Now, if that’s what your’re looking for, please, carry on. These books are not set in todays time, it is somewhere in the future after a planet changing event. Females in this future setting do not have much say in their lives. They are expected to follow orders and do as they’re told and disciplined for disobeying. The discipline consists of being spanked, standing in a corner, etc. The sex scenes are plentiful and quite detailed.
This newest book by Delta James follows along with “Warlord”, “Overlord” and “Wolflord”. Characters from those books make brief appearances in this book, with the exception of Bridget, from “Wolflord”, who is a main character in this book.
Bridget, looking to start a sanctuary for females that don’t want to be claimed as mates, sneaks away to look for a lost city. Gideon, one of the last dragon shifters, awakens after a 1000 year sleep. When he catches Bridget’s scent, the chase begins. When he finds Bridget, he immediately goes to her and stakes his claim. Bridget, not wanting to be mated again, sneaks out and runs. But Gideon is not going to allow his female to escape, she is his one true heart, something all male dragons yearned for. She was his to love and protect from now on, whether she wanted it or not.
If you are unable to get past my first paragraph of this review I do not recommend this book to you. Don’t get this book and then leave a bad review because you didn’t like the contents. For those that don’t skip a beat with that first paragraph, give Delta James a try if you haven’t already.

I normally avoid the whole Dragon shifter genre, but Delta James added a twist that made it truly entertaining. I would give this 4.5 stars.
I thought Bridget would have here own story, but I never imagined it would take this turn. Nor did I imagine something could sound more intense than the old alpha wolf knot and tie. I was wrong, so wrong.
Gideon and Bridget were good together, and I liked how everything with her daughter played out. It should be interesting when the Dragonlord, and the Alpha wolves finally meet.

I just love this series and can’t wait for more. She start out thinking she will be on her own doing what she has planned. Except going back for her daughter. He wakes up after lots of years and finds the people and things changed. But as things start to work out he finds her. He mates her but without her being asked. And there is a surprise with it. He is not a wolf like the rest of them. This has so much. Excitement, intrigue, surprises, danger, so much emotion and much more. Very well written and highly recommended.
I enjoyed this book quite a bit. Bridget set out to find some land that she could take/acquire by undisclosed means, in order to establish a sanctuary for she-wolves. A somewhat harebrained scheme as her only plan of defence was to hope that the location would be a secret. It was not a particularly safe time for women to be travelling about on their own but Bridget either had an over inflated opinion of her abilities or gave it little thought. That was a bit concerning as she left her 6 year old back at the castle for others to look after while she went looking for the piece of land she had heard rumours about. Along the way Gideon, her true heart, equivalent to a fated mate found her and they come together in a blaze of glory it seems. I’m looking forward to the other Dragonlords finding their true hearts.

This talented author has written another enthralling, somewhat dark, dragon shifter romance that is set in the same era as the “Wolflord “series, there are some character crossovers but it can be read as a standalone. It has a strong, well-paced interesting plot with good scene descriptions & world building. The unique characters are strong-willed individuals with opposing personalities that actually complement each other although one of them displays a single- minded determination and/or defiance to avoid the inevitable future.
There is: a feisty, headstrong female wolf shifter (Bridget) leaves her pack & strikes out on her own only to be confronted by a male dragon shifter (Gideon, Lord of the Earth) who promptly declares that she is his mate & she is not too impressed with this idea, her daughter (Ciara), dragon shifters, wolf shifters, humans, friendship, fated mates, action, adventure, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, decisions, confrontations, manipulations, anticipation, defiance, emotional turmoil, discipline, spankings, steamy scenes, contentment & a well-deserved happy conclusion. I enjoyed read this dragon shifter romance & would recommend it to people who enjoy reading this genre.
Wow, I really enjoyed reading this book.
Bridget sets out on adventure to find an abandoned city. Along her journey she meets Gideon. They are one another’s true love.

Delta strikes again with a spin off from the Warlord series. Can be read as a standalone but the characters from the previous books do appear. Gideon is an amazing “hero” and Bridget is the fiesty, kick-ass heroine we have come to expect. And also as we’ve come to expect from Delta, great action, great story and of course steamy sex. As usual, can’t wait for the next DragonLord to “awaken” and go to find his “true heart”
