Dragon Undercover by Lia Davis and Kerry Adrienne is the firs book in the Dark Scales Division series. This is the story of Owen Ashton and Nadia Hasting.
Owen is a working on a case to catch a serial killer one that killed his sister. This leads Owen to meet Nadia and her sister. Owen doesn’t come clean with what he is doing nor who he is (a dragon shiftier) but he does realize that Nadia is his mate. Then Nadia sister goes missing and Owen is sure that the killer has her.
I enjoyed this book but I did have a some issue making a connection with the characters. Overall a quick easy read.
Now, normally I don’t like shifter books but I decided to give this one a try. I decided to try a few pages and before I knew it I had devoured the entire book. This book flowed so easily I didn’t realise I had read the entire thing until I had turned the last page. Wow!! Will definitely be following this author from now on.
Very enjoyable fast paced story. I do however wished that there were a little bit more built up between Nadia and Owen. I just felt like things happen so fast between them. Overall a entertaining read plenty of intrigue, action, and of course steamy. Great start for a new series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Owen was searching, set up in an idyllic cabin by a lake. His objective, find and kill the rogue dragon who killed his sister and then progressed to kill others including humans.
Nadia and her sister Sage have come to the cabin their parents used to rent when they were young, a vacation before Sage heads off to college.
When Nadia and Owen meet, the attraction is mutual but the timing kind of sucks. Owen’s dragon immediately recognizes his mate, but being as she’s human it poses some problems. However, Sage is all for the two of them getting together.
A delightful dinner and getting to know you conversation leads to way more.
These two got to the sizzling really quick, but that cooled very quickly with a frantic call from Stephanie saying someone took Sage.
A tense race against time, as Owen and his team search for the rogue and Sage. With the added problem of Owen having to tell Nadia he’s a dragon shifter.
Fast paced, with hold your breath suspense, plenty of sizzle and a few tears.
Loved this great start to a new series! Dragon shifters, who are part of the DSD-Dark Scales Division, tasked with taking down rogue dragon shifters –Awesome! When Owen, DSD team leader who is working undercover, meets Nadia and her sister Sage, two humans staying in the cabin next door, the mission becomes so much more. When Sage is unexpectedly kidnapped, Owen and Nadia become even closer. An action-packed story filled with heat, danger and romance. Looking forward to more in this series! Highly Recommended!
Love that it is a KU read too!
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest
The characters + storytelling were very captivating
Nadia was looking forward to this vacaction w/ her sister
Owen was there to catch a serial killer.
Now what ?
How is Owen supposed to catch a serial killer + woo his mate at the same time ?
The storytelling + the character’s build were awesome!
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
What a ride! I just went undercover the sexy and thrilling new Dark Scales Division where the dragon shifters hunt down dragon criminals. On this mission Owen is hunting for the serial killer that killed his sister and while on this mission he meets Nadia and her sister Sage. But the mission becomes complicated when Owen realizes Nadia is his mate and then before he can even tell Nadia, Sage goes missing.
The characters in Dragon Undercover are strong and captivating, easily drawing readers into their story and Owen and Nadia’s romance is sweet but full of complications especially as this fast paced story if full of adrenaline pumping suspense as they hunt for the evil Huff who leads the couple on a thrilling chase which keeps readers on the edge of their seats.
Lia Davis and Kerry Adrienne has created an exciting and fascinating new world with fantastic characters. Though the story is a little on the short side it never has a dull moment and I am completely intrigued by this new world and these law enforcement dragons, so I can’t wait for the next thrilling mission- Snowed Undercover!
A new series about dragon shifters working undercover to stop rogue dragons? Yes please!
Dragon shifter Owen is working undercover to track down the rogue that killed his sister and several other females as well. Nadia and Sage are two humans staying in the cabin next to Owen’s. When Sage unexpectedly gets caught up in the the danger, will Owen and Nadia be able to save her? Or will Sage become the next victim in this reign of terror?
An interesting story with the right amount of heat, heart, and danger. I look foward to reading more in this series.
I received a copy of this book from the authors via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are honest and my own.
Could not get enough of this new dragon shifter world loving the Dark Scales Division…. emotionally thrilling, sexy, engaging, action packed romantic adventure filled with mystery, danger and red hot passion….. what more could a reader want?
Owen Ashton is the sexy hot alpha of the DSD and is on the trail of a serial killer that murdered his sister. Nadia Hasting is vacationing at a lake house in Minnesota with her sister Sage on their first vacation after their parents death and not expecting the eye candy next door…. Loved the banter and page turning adventure they share, could not put it down once I started reading…
Dragon Undercover book one of Dark Scales Division by Lia Davis and Kerry Adrienne is wonderful. The characters are totally hot and sexy. The dragons are amazing. The first book is short but has everything you need for a new series. Kerry and Lia did a terrific job introducing their new series and characters. This new series features dragons that work for the Dragon Counsel protecting the world from rogue dragons. I can’t wait to see where the series takes us. I received an ARC from Netgalley. This is my voluntary honest review.
It has been a minute since I have got to read a book by either of these authors but combined was a quick get into the cover of this one. Really enjoying dragon shifters with this one being special by being in a special unit that investigates is the bonus here. When Owen is in a case he also gets a bit of a surprise with whom he meets. Nadia is also going to have a surprise with her neighbor but the two of them together will need each other in more ways than one. The drama is swift and the story is quick over too soon. One thing is for sure I hope the next one that comes out of this series is longer to enjoy.
